NVR Adventures

Such a bummer-​emailed them early this week to get prices for a rental and didn’t hear back so I called-they’re closed until March! Would be helpful if it said that somewhere on the website or an auto response when you email. Will hopefully be able to take advantage of them after March!

Just got off the phone with a very annoyed Jason. He sounded bothered that I wanted to rent with him. Asked about today and the rest of the week only to have him sigh heavily and say «no booked this morning» like it was awful to ask. Asked about the rest of the week to have him sigh again and explain they’re closed the rest of the week because of a trade show so they don’t really want to be renting.
His attitude tells me he doesn’t care about keeping customers or bringing them back. I won’t even bother calling him in the future. I tried booking online months ago and never got a response
I recommend avoiding this place.

Had a great time touring Napa and Yountville with my wife. We took the scooters out for several hours and spent more time on the scooters than in any winery or shops. Jason was prompt and we were on the road within 10 minutes.
It was so refreshing being out in the open air while riding. My wife and I were talking and had we done the same ride in a car you really don’t get to appreciate it enough. Riding through the vineyards and hills was truly spectacular and was great to feel the wind on your face and take in all the eucalyptus trees and vineyard smells. Highly recommend taking these out, even if only for a few hours. There are so many side roads that you can be safe off the major highways and parking is so easy/​convenient with these things.

I called NVR 2 weeks prior to our proposed reservation date to make sure we could rent 2 mopeds for the day while in Napa for my and my wife’s honeymoon. We were really looking forward to it considering all the positive reviews! I talked to Jason and he suggested I just make the reservation online. I took care of that and gave them a call 2 days later to confirm that they had gotten it. Jason confirmed that they indeed got it and then suggested I call the day of «to make sure they would have the scooters for us.»
Day comes and while on the porch enjoying coffee with my new wife, I call Jason to «confirm.»
I tell him «I made a reservation for 2 scooters 2 weeks ago and am calling to confirm.»
«Umm… what?» says Jason. I repeat myself. «What’s your name» he says sounding annoyed. «Tarek Saad.» «Well we don’t have anything here, did you give me your CC number?»
After a long drawn out conversation trying to convince Jason that I really did make a reservation he begins to get extremely offensive.
«Listen, I’m not a tit for tat kind of guy. I don’t give a SH** if you rent from us! I don’t care if you made a reservation. We’re not some… Applebee’s or something.»
He actually said this! Verbatim!

Even though it was the off season, Jason, a friendly, easy going guy, was more than accommodating. The Harley he provided us, a road king classic, was spotless, comfortable and powerful — allowing us to experience the winding roads, and easy curves of the rolling hills of wine country. What fantastic scenery. We stopped at Dean and Deluca’s for sandwiches and picnicked at lake Berriessa. The Napa area is a perfect place for a motorcycle ride and Jason is the perfect person to work with.

Great bike (2006 Road King)! Jason is a good guy. He delivered the bike a bit late the morning we were scheduled to have it, but he also picked it up even later the next day. Would definitely do it again!

Jason was courteous, friendly and professional. He accommodated our last minute request to switch from scooters to a Harley and delivered it to our hotel. For a 2006 model, it was beautifully maintained and I had no concerns about the safety of the bike. All in all, already planning to repeat business w him again when I return to the area on my annual trip!

My wife and I picked up mopeds from Jason on July 4^th. He was very easy to work with and the mopeds were in excellent condition (just came back from a tuneup). He gave us an overview of the moped controls, and told us some of the routes nearby in napa and yountville. We spent the day riding through vineyards and wine tasting and exploring. It was great. Would highly recommend trying.

My husband and I rented the 2-​person scooter for the day to go around Napa. 5-​star service from Jason (owner)! The scooter was delivered and picked up from the Inn we were staying, hassle free! Jason was pleasant to communicate with, provides great info on safe routes to take for scooters, recommended places to eat/​visit/​wine tasting. We will be using him again!

This review is long over due. We had a great time with NVR Adventures in June.
Our group of 5 went up to Napa for the day to do some wine tasting on mopeds. By far this was the most fun wine tasting experience! We rode on back country roads with no traffic and did not have problem finding parking anywhere. Even stopped by bouchon bakery to grab some sweets.
We met up with NVR in the parking lot of Marriott. Before we started the owner tested each of us on the moped and made sure we felt confident on it. We ordered picnic lunch (sandwich, salad, cookies) through them and they picked them up at the sandwich shop and brought them to the parking lot too. They also made recommendations on winery and booked tasting for us. It really saved us a lot of time planning this trip.
This husband and wife team were great! They even decided to go on our tour with us and when it got really hot they rode out to pick up ice water for us so we don’t pass out on the bikes. :) We made purchases at 2 wineries, instead of carrying bottles of wines with us, the wife picked them up and met us back at the parking lot at the end of the day.
Two bikes had problem starting a couple times while we were riding and we were glad the owner came along with us on the ride. He helped us restart them and got us back to Marriott hotel all in one piece.
Since we went in the dead of summer it was really hot during the day. I would recommend going spring or fall when the weather is cooler and less traffic. I’ll definitely be doing this again. Thanks NVR!

My daughter and I spent a fun afternoon exploring Napa and Yountville this week riding mopeds. NVR Adventures is exceptional! The mopeds were in great working condition and darling in a variety of colors. The mobile service was convenient, communication was quick and very responsive. Best of all, Jason, the owner operator, truly treated us like a friend. I highly recommend trying NVR Adventures for a new perspective to a beautiful location. Jason, thank you again.

My wife and I recently rented mopeds for a day of wine tasting in Napa during a company outing. Even though our group turned out to be smaller that expected we had an amazing time. The wineries, especially Hopper Creek and Miner were fanatic. The mopeds were easy to learn and the instructors were very patient and thorough in making is all feel comfortable. This was truly a highlight of our trip and a great way to see the wineries in Napa. Next time we go I will forget the $ 500 limo and rent mopeds again.

My wife and I had a wonderful time scootering around Napa!!! Wow what a way to get around town. We really got to see some of the hidden gems that Napa has to offer. Jason’s knowledge of the area made our tour quite an adventure!!! Can’t wait to go again!!!
