History

Established in 2002.

After working for (3) Bay Area Architectural firms over a 10 year period, and working in construction management for 7 years (see bio), James Jeffery returned to his passion, and established James Jeffery Architects AIA, Inc (J2A) in 2002.

Over the past 11 years J2A has established relationships with Delicato Family Vineyards, Jackson Family Wines, Bronco Winery, Gallo Wines, Altamura Vineyards, and many others in the winery industry.

In addition to Winery clients, J2A has also developed numerous successful Hotels, Commercial, Retail, Multi-​Family, and Residential Projects, and have completed multiple projects for many of our clients.

Business Owner

James Jeffery began his career in architecture in 1984 working for Architectural Dimensions (AD) in Walnut Creek. Already an accomplished draftsman, James advanced to Project Coordinator within 2 years, and after 3 years, accepted a position as Project Manager with Walker & Moody Architects in San Francisco. Working primarily on high-​end residential projects, James also had an opportunity to head an expansion of Auberge Du Soleil resort in Napa Valley.

After over 10 years in Architecture, James accepted a position with Fisher Development Inc. (FDI). FDI headquarter were in San Francisco, with satellite offices in New York, Boston, and Florida, with a total of over 500 employees nationwide. After 7 years of working with FDI as Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Director of Construction for Williams-​Sonoma /​Pottery Barn account, James elected to re-​establish his career in Architecture where he was raised and lived, in the Napa Valley.
