OMG! Nails & Spa

I am a fan of this nail salon, but the cost of getting my nails done was so expensive! I know it is the Silicon Valley, but I am used to paying around $ 45 bucks for gel on my fingers and a regular pedicure. Here I paid nearly $ 70 for the same. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with the results… I’m just not happy with what I paid. Unfortunately with the frequency I get my nails done (monthly) I can’t afford this treat by coming to Sassy nails. I’m taking two stars off only because of the cost. If they go down in price, you’ll see me back here in a pinch!

Since I just moved to Mountain View, I don’t have a go-​to nail salon yet. I searched for nail salons in Mount View on Unilocal and this place had the best reviews. So I biked right over without an appointment. It was about 10 AM on a Saturday morning. They greeted me right away and even though the place looked busy to me, they said they could fit me in right then! Great. All of the girls were very friendly and kind. They offered me water when I first sat down. And the girl who did my pedicure did an amazing job. The place was clean and pleasant. I have no complaints. I’ll definitely be going back regularly.
My only comment is that I didn’t see any bike parking. I locked my bike up to a random sign post. There may have been bike parking elsewhere in the parking lot that I just didn’t see though. I’ll have to look more thoroughly next time.

I am someone who is very picky about the cleanliness of a salon. I have been to OMG! twice and both times they have amazed me with the cleanliness and organization of the salon. I love the chairs that they have and the always offer something to drink and all the people working there are so kind. They did my nails perfectly both times, and never hurt cuticles or anything. I also have to mention that their work lasts! I got a shellac pedicure and it was in perfect condition for 2 months. I don’t know how, but they are amazing.
One con, but not worth enough to take a star away– one of their employees smokes a lot so for someone with asthma (ahem, me) it is a little bothersome. But either way, the service is awesome and Billy is so nice.

Still absolutely in love with omg nails and the team. I had Emie and Anna and they were incredible! Thank you ladies and Billy;)

Super clean, super courteous, super creative (can make any of your Pinterest pins come true) super colors lots of them OPI and you end up with super nails.
My grammar definitely goes out the window with my usage of the superlative! This review is all about feeling pampered and I can’t thank the owners enough for ensuring that this experience remains condistent try you must if you are in the area and looking for a fantastic nail service!

Love this place! Everyone is thorough, friendly, and utterly amazing. I’ve been coming here for about 6 months and have never left disappointed.
As someone with a slight OCD tendency, I have my favorite person here. But I’m not going to tell you her name so you can’t steal her from me. Just go with anyone and you’ll be fine. They all do a great job!

I have been coming to Omg for over a year and won’t go anywhere else. The salon is super clean, everyone is super friendly and their hot stone massage is the best. Last time I even came in with a Pinterest picture and they didn’t have the exact gel color I wanted. Natalie was sweet enough to mix colors to get the perfect shade that looked identical to my picture!

I came in here for a mani pedi on Saturday. I’ll admit my nails looked awful– grown out, remnants of gel shellac stuck on every other nail, bad cuticles, the whole shebang.
The man who I assume was the owner or manager was so nice and was doing everything he could to ensure everyone was having a great experience. Unfortunately, the manicure/​pedicure itself was not that relaxing (water literally burned me, took forever, cost much more than what I’m used to paying, etc.).
Also, the employees used an upsale tactic by first insulting you, then telling you how much it would cost to remove the flaw. i.e. «Your hands are really dry. Do you want a parafin treatment? $ 5.» or «Your heel has a lot of dead skin on it. Do you want to remove it? It’s $ 7.» Overall not the greatest boost of confidence…

Let me just say this was my second visit to OMG Nails and I was just as impressed as the first time. The price is right, the technicians are super friendly and courteous and best of all, I left really pleased with my nails. I will be coming back for sure

I’m all about nail designs. When my regular place stopped doing acrylic, I had no choice but find a new spot. Natalie is an amazing artist, she literally can do anything. I bring her a Pinterest pic and does it. My nails do no lift and they take their time. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best pedicures I have ever gotten come from OMG! Nails. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and do beautiful work. I’ve never had a bad experience and have been there at least a half dozen times since they opened. The shop is clean, well kept, organized, and comfortable. Any of their staff that has done a pedicure or manicure for me as been gentle and thorough. My polish always lasts for at least a month without chipping. My skin is always smooth and clear after as well. The parafin for the feet is fantastic and the hot stone massages are relaxing.
I recommend making an appointment because they do get quite busy. I’ve done both walk in and appointment here. The owner (I believe his name is Billy) remembers people that come in, always offers a drink, is funny and friendly, and obviously treats his staff well. Everyone is always happy, friendly, and seems to genuinely enjoy their work.

I have not had acrylic nails done in years. Just on a whim, I decided to go get my nails done for Halloween this year. We were traveling to LA and I wanted my hands to look good. I think the young girl who did my nails did a fantastic job. Super fun designs and she took her time to do it right. My nails are still looking good 3 weeks later! I will definitely come here again.

I’ve been to my share of nail salons. So this is me comparing. Cheap chairs that make loud squeaking noises when the massage is on. Not to include they barely function properly.
Prices. I always get gel pedicures. Typically paying about 40 for my gel plus the spa package. I’ve never paid more for a hot towel and stone massage. I was looking at paying 60 for gel and massage. That was my first and last time here

Gel nail manicure with no designs came out to $ 30. I came here because of the high ratings on Unilocal.The staff was super friendly and the salon itself is small — can probably host 10 people at a time. I came here with a friend who had a design done and I arrived 10 minutes after her. While my friend received a very long massage, mine was about 30 seconds of stroking my arms. That’s nice, I guess? I asked for glitter gold on my nails — as can be seen in the picture, it’s more clear with sparkles than anything. My friend received the gold polish I wanted — so I’m not sure why it was unavailable to me. At most nail salons I’ve been to they either use the gel glitter or actual glitter with a top coat.
Summary: small, clean, friendly staff. Not the best for design work.

Cameron did my 3-​D eyelashes extensions. I was really impressed with her work. She made extra time for me in the morning so that I could get them done before work. It was my first experience with eyelash extensions so she made sure to explain the whole thing to me and find the right style for my eyes. The whole place was very professional and clean. I decided to come back later after work to get a manicure and pedicure. Tracy did my nails she was super fun to talk to and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. The woman who worked on my toenails was also very sweet and gave me a hot stone massage as a part of the basic pedicure. They offered me water and there are TV screens to watch if you’re bored. If environment and quality is important to you this is the place to go.

I have no idea who ‘Rebecca S.’ is — but she could not be more off the mark in her review of Michelle and OMG! Nails (though in taking a look at her reviews overall, it appears she does not have too many good things to say about any business establishment she’s visited!).
Michelle is a highly skilled nail technician (and ARTIST! show her a picture of a design you like, and you’ll see it beautifully replicated on your nails!). She is gentle, thorough, meticulous… And this is the first experience I have had in ANY nail spa where I do not have to file a few rough edges after I’ve left. In a word… ‘Perfection.’ Every single time!
Not once has Michelle ever hurt my nails or cuticles. And she is always sweet, courteous and considerate to ask if I am experiencing any pain… and if I do, to be sure to let her know right away.
(FYI: There is a trend occurring on Unilocal and other social media sites whereby people are deliberately posting negative reviews as a means to gain freebies or discounts. Try to pay more attention to the positive reviews, because they will give you a truer, more clear picture of what the reality is with a business establishment — and this goes for ANY business establishment. If someone truly has a serious issue with a service they receive, that person will act professionally and responsibly and will raise their concern at the moment it occurs so that it can be resolved immediately —– and not hours or days later on a public forum. I have left only one very negative review… And only because it involved the welfare of senior citizens, which the general public needed to be aware of.)
I am a South Bay transplant to the Peninsula area, and spent a long time… actually a couple of years trying to find a new home for my manicure and pedicure needs. I’ve had countless ‘one time only’ experiences in more nail spas than I can even begin to recall. OMG! Nails and Spa is my new home! (oh… and by the way… its SPOTLESS! The most sanitary, clean nail salon I have ever been to!)
Because OMG! is so popular, this means they are always busy. I highly recommend calling in advance for an appointment. Billy and his lovely wife… Michelle… Natalie… EVERY person that works at OMG will do their very best to accommodate you.

The catchy name isn’t the only thing great about this place. It’s also the friendly owners, nail technicians that cater to your needs, good quality OPI nail polish and clean environs.
I usually like to do my own pedicure, but keeping this in my go to nail places when I’m in the South Bay.

This nail salon wasn’t the worst nor was it the best.
My co worker and I went in to get shellac done. $ 30 for simple polish. Since my co worker had previous shellac on, she needed to have them removed. The nail technician started to file the shellac down and when C said that it was burning, the tech lady said in vietnamese that C was being whiny. I didn’t appreciate that she was giving the dirty look and giving the typical Viet stereotype of talking crap.
I didn’t think it was worth it especially after I left I realized the color of the polish did not even fill my whole nails. The edges were missed.
My advice is to find another salon.
