Food is overpriced and bland. The quality of the food simply does not match the beautiful scenery and good service. We had the trout, crab cakes, trout salad, and prime rib. All edible but uninteresting. It was a very disappointing meal and tough bill to sign.

The food was good but the service was outstanding. I ate all of my food because it was delicious and a small portion. Just how I like fine dining.

Ordered the elk, over done and very tough. Kobe steak over cooked and sent back. The lobster bisque was fantastic. The staff was very nice. Overpriced and under delivered. Eat at the grill instead.

We ate at the Mural Room during a recent visit while on a tour of the National Parks. It was a nice sized space with a good view. I stopped by with one of my friends also on the tour and I ended up getting the ½ lb. wyoming burger with swiss cheese, tomato, onion and as opposed to getting french fries, I opted for a fruit salad which they provided. It was a nice afternoon and I would recommend and return.

The atmosphere, architecture, and view of the Mural Room really lived up to the hype. We had no reservation, and waited a mere 15 minutes with a drink in the lobby. We requested window seats and we’re granted this pleasure. Our waitress Chelsea was charming and knowledgeable about the restaurant and food. Bit pricey, but for my birthday we were ready to indulge a bit! Great food overall, and the dessert was on the house. Will be recommending to friends.

While the food may not warrant 4 stars outside of a National Park, this place has decent food at reasonable prices. The service was fast and friendly. The Monte Christo sandwich is tasty and the sweet potato fries weren’t bad. They could do with some kind of dipping sauce besides catsup. Overall, we got exactly what we paid for. No complaints.

Delicious food with a view. Host is not very smart. I was first in line for a table while my bf took some pics of the view. The host assumed I was with another gentleman behind me and took his name and seated his group before mine. Dumb. No offer of an apology or anything. My bf and I still had a good lunch regardless. Can’t stand ignorance.

We reserved a specific table a day ahead but our table wasn’t ready at our reserved time, so we had to wait an extra 45min. We were excited to try their oysters but they were out that evening, so decided on the over priced and over cooked salmon. Very disappointed! The wine we chose was also not available and it just kept going downhill from there. The children’s menu offered a baked potato but those were also unavailable even though the adjacent diner did still have them. We were told they don’t share with the diner so we walked over and got our own potato. The only reason we gave 2 stars is for the food server. She did the best she could with the situation. Great view but not worth the price and poor quality!

I love this place. I’ve loved it for the 30 plus years I’ve been going to GTNP. The food has always been wonderful, the view is of course, unparalleled, and the service is always gracious. Yes, the servers at the end of the season are winding up their tour, but if you had to deal with some of the self-absorbed tourists we always see on our trips, you’d frazzle a bit too. Had a lovely slice of prime rib, cooked perfectly with a bit of crust on the outside. The veggies(asparagus) could have been a larger serving(3 tiny spears, more of a garnish), but the salads and the truffled potatoes made up for it. After all, who cares about health if you’re eating prime rib? As for the prices, well, we spent less here for two glasses of wine, two salads, two PR entrees and a dessert than we did for two plates of spaghetti and meatballs with salad, wine and no dessert in Jackson. So there. Kudos to the staff and the chefs. I will be back again and again.

Ate breakfast here and decided to cancel our dinner reservations. I had eggs benedict — sauce was too strong and muffin was soggy. Husband had pancakes — just OK and bacon was bleh. The view is amazing but that did not make up for mediocre food at high prices. The buffet that most other diners had looked promising, though no one mentioned that option before we ordered. Which brings me to their service. Perhaps because we were there at the end of the season explains why the servers had one foot out the door already and really did not seem concerned about providing good service. And my chair was continually bumped by them as they served tables with never once an apology or «excuse me.»

This place has good food with an even better view. Being able to look out into the willow forest and the Tetons while moose were walking by is something that is quite unforgettable. Lunch: their lunch was, in my opinion, their best meal. The prices were the most reasonable during this time of day and I had a fabulous elk/bison burger. ALLSUSTAINABLE too. Their dinner was extremely pricey, but very good as well. The breakfast buffet was good and had a ton of options. They only had two types of pastries though, and on the menu it said assortment of pastries… More like 2. Anyways, they food was very good, the view is unbeatable, but the price is steep so they lose one star. I would go back though.

Do not waste your time or money. There is a fabulous pizza place up the road just north of Colter bay — Go there instead. We were so looking forward to our dinner here as my fiancée had a meal here last year. On our last night in the area after a long backpack this was to be our final treat. They were late in seating us even though we had a reservation. When were we seated the server addressed me as Mr. Smith– I guess he was supposed to be the one seated there? I figured it is there idea of a personal touch– I told him I wasn’t Mr. Smith and it didn’t bother me until later. Being in Wyoming we were looking forward to a good and simple meat and potato meal. They were out of the beef tenderloin and the server told us not get attached to the idea. I will say the crab cakes and bisque were good but not good enough for the prices coupled with the poor service and lack of a desired meal. After being in the Restaurant for over an hour we were told that out entrees would be out in 5 min. Well passed that time the server Joe told us that the prime rib was not prepared correctly and they were having to redo it. When we were served my fiancees«special» New York strip was rare when it was asked to be medium well. The ice cream seemed to take as long as the main course to be prepared. I don’t typically write reviews but this night was such a let down. Don’t waste your time go next door and have some awesome meatloaf or go to the already mentioned pizza place! Very disappointing experience.

Really slow service and expensive for what you get. I can hold my liquor but when you wait 45 mins for a tiny entrée you’re bound to get tipsy. Can’t beat the view though. Opt for sitting at the bar outside. Great drinks and mediocre tapas are way more worth it.

We always try to eat one meal here when we visit the park. The food is outstanding, the service the best and the views are spectacular. We chose to have lunch here on Father’s Day. I had the Bison Spicy Chili and the Bison Burger. Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. My wife chose the Cobb Salad and it was so large she couldn’t finish it all. The entire staff were as friendly and helpful as we’ve ever had. The whole experience was one that we will always remember. Don’t pass up a chance to dine here if you can.
