Arrived in search of a costume for my daughter’s school play… what a horrible experience!!! We barely got a grunt out of the lady at the costume counter. We did our best to describe what we were looking for and she was not only angry and rude but absolutely bothered by our inability to describe exactly what we wanted. She rudely told us to bring a picture of what we wanted. That would have been a nice idea I suppose, but we didn’t have one and didn’t have time to get one! She told us 3 – 4 times that we needed a picture bc otherwise there was no way for her to help us. We turned around and left. We thought maybe she was mad bc we walked in near closing… but nope. Plenty of time. Really was unbelievable that she would treat us so poorly. Perhaps if you arrive with photo in hand you will be treated well. If not, don’t bother.

I have gone several times to this shop. They do not give customers a receipt of what item we bring in. Today I went in to pick up items that were not sold but I had brought in a purse and pumps almost new with tag still on at the bottom well they had no record of my shoes so they just wanted to pay for my purse but no shoes this would be second time they have done this I let it pass one time but 2 no that’s why we have to know what we bring in to this place because they will say no you did not bring them in or they say we’ll it’s not written down so basically they calling me a lair .I said to her that’s why you need to give customer a receipt of what they bring in well she got so upset she never paid me for my purse they sold??? Umm will I come again no way!!!

I’ve been coming here for years to consign and to buy clothing. The best part about this store is the $ 1 rack. YES! a $ 1 rack! Now that I am pregnant I love their maternity section. There clothes are always very nice condition because Kristy and Beth know what to look for. I’ve never rented a costume from here but I’ve heard really good things about it though. Actually when I was there yesterday a woman called and told them that she would have to bring it in a couple days late because she was out of town and that she was fine with them charging her. They let her know it was no big deal and they would not charge her, just happy she called to let them know. Too sweet!

Now known as Second Chance Consignment, this shop is a gem for costume hunters in the area. I thought I would have to go all the way to San Francisco to look for a wig that would complete my Lady Gaga look. But, I asked and they were able to pull one up. It was a Mistress wig but it worked well because it was bleach blonde, straight and had bangs. And it was a good quality kind of wig. Party City didn’t have what I was looking for so I was so happy to have found it here in an unknown store.
Yes, there are racks of used clothing but they are those that could be used as costumes (tutus, corsets, gowns). They have plenty types of wigs and hats and other accessories. The best part about it is that they are open year round! Because you’ll never know when you want to dress up just for fun!

Have to agree with Margaret. O. Kristy & Beth are the best. They really take care of you when you need a costume. My wife and I went in with a fairly short notice for Ren Faire costumes and they really got us totally outfitted with great costumes. They took care of every need down to the shoes and accessories. They also have a huge selection to choose from with multiple sizes. Helped us out tremendously. They were also very accommodating with the rental days. Love these two. Go by and check out their selections.
