Save Mart

I was so disgusted i am writing this the same day it happened. Because i cant stop thinking about it. We used to shop here almost every week, because we live close by. This store has lost a long time customer!
The horror began today-10−26−12 at around 7:30 pm. We arrive and it’s the usual shopping trip. We wanted to get something as a side dish from the deli/​bakery area they have. Upon arriving we scanned the delicious looking baked goods for sale and had picked a few things out. As we made our way to the deli window area where they display the pasta dishes, salads, and what ever else they had to offer we noticed the two women working there were getting ready to take the trash out. They were using their bare hands to handle trash, stuff trash further down the trash bag, and just basically take the trash out. We ordered 2 lbs of a pasta salad and… to our horror! The older looking elderly lady behind the counter who had just bare handed handled trash! Grabbed a single lbs deli cup with her bare hands… didnt even wash her hands just grabbed what was supposed to be our cup that she would then fill with pasta. Her fingers were inside the cup! She then grabbed the spoon-​scoop side not the handle… bare handed… all the while she hadnt even washed her hands! My boyfriend told her he just witnessed her handle trash and she didnt even wash her hands nor put gloves on… we pass… as we now walk away… we scan our goods in the basket… these lazy women dont wash their hands… or were gloves when they handle… our food? We left without buying anything. sparing ourselves from what could had been pretty bad food poisening. We will NEVER shop there again and we are warning all our friends and family of what we saw! Im tempted to call the manager tomorrow. If the manager happens to see this it was 10−26−12 at 7:30 pm and it was the elderly women! Whoever you had scheduled that day… you need to seriously train her on basic food etiquette!
