I had a fantastic experience with Theresa’s Alterations & Tailoring.
Procrastinating, I brought a bridesmaid dress in for alterations under a month before the wedding date. When I tried the poorly fitting dress on for Theresa, she commented that the dress would be a challenging one, but she worked her magic. She had the dress ready on the day she initially quoted and it fit perfectly! Pricing was incredibly reasonable for the amount of work required. Theresa is very talented — I will be back!

A simple one woman shop

The owner is very nice, and my bridesmaid dress alterations were completed in just over a week. She knew exactly what to do and the alterations look so great, I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I had to get a bridesmaid dress altered so I figured I’d check out the place closest to me. Enter Theresa’s Alterations.
All I can say is horrible service. When I went in with the dress, the person behind the counter seemed confused as to what I wanted (she’s Eastern European so maybe there was some sort of language barrier coming into play), and I felt like I had to walk her through the process. «I’m going to go try this on, show you where I need it taken in, and you can pin it.»
Then, I was told a specific date to come back. When I did come back (30 min prior to close), she told me that it wasn’t ready and she needed another 20 mins. Honestly, I would have either appreciated a call that it would not be ready on time OR she should have given herself a later date all together. To top things off, when I came back later, she was chatting on the phone about the women’s world cup and I had to wait for about 5 min while she wrapped up her conversation.
The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because she actually did an excellent job with the alteration. The dress fits wonderfully, and despite the service issues, I might actually go back just because I know that I’m going to get a perfect finished product.
