In the three times I have been here, I have found that I spend about five to ten minutes with the optometrist or the techs per hour I wait here. Very frustrating, particularly because I did not find staff to be very nice. They also surprised me with a 60 $ charge to have me come back after trying a pair of contacts on for a week and essentially ask me if they fit well. It took three hour to and hour and a half visits to essentially get me back to the contacts I had before starting this ordeal. The female optometrist was nice but I had to wait forty minutes to finally meet with her. I will not be coming back here.

I went there for an eye exam and I even gave them a copy of my old prescription so that they wouldn’t mess it up. The prescription was way off. When I went in to be fitted for my glasses I told the doctor that I could not see and he said that «My eyes would adjust». I couldn’t see anything or read road signs. Finally I went to another eye doctor and they said that that prescription was way off. It was a prescription that i would have had 20 years ago. It was expensive for the West Allis demographic and also inaccurate. When I had tried to go to them for help they were unfriendly and I was nervous that they would mess it up again. I wouldn’t go back. It was a dangerous experience to be driving like that. When a professional tells you something you believe him because we are taught to trust professionals. It would have taken a few seconds for him to have my glasses on and have me look at charts to see if the glasses were correct. The glasses are beautiful expensive frames. It would have been nice if they just offered to put new lenses in. I haven’t put new lenses in them because it feels wrong that I have to do it.

20yrs ago was the last time I was at this location to see Dr Knight Sr. Knight Jr is running the show now. UNCUTH!!! I took my eight year old daughter for a general checkup and Dr Knight didnt even make eye contact whan he walked in the room! My daughter thought perhaps he was having a bad day but when I brought it to the attention of the staff they said he was «fine». Perhaps all the Disney marathon medals in the waiting room have gone to his head… EGO!!! I’m married to a three time world medalist and my husbands one of the most humble people I know. Dr Knight however, flat out RUDE! I don’t recommend this business.

I have been a patient at Knight Vision for may years now. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I’ve seen Dr Eric Knight a few times, but mostly Dr Jaime Bembenek. They are both terrific! I have arthritis and I am on Plaquenil which can potentially cause some eye damage so it is imperative that I have a thorough exam every year. My rheumatologist insists on it. Plus, my mother has Retinitis Pigmentosa and Macular Degeneration and a few other eye diagnoses that I can’t spell. She is blind. The docs at Knight Vision make sure to check me every few years with more sophisticated tests like eye scans and visual field exams. They have also helped me out with glasses. I am far sighted so my up close vision has been not so goo, but my distance vision is nearly perfect. I’m an RN plus I sing with Bel Canto Chorus in Milwaukee. I have to be able to see up close and far away at all times because of my 2 jobs. I need to be able to chart and read medical records, plus look up to see who is calling me. I need to be able to read my music and look up and follow the conductor’s direction. Using readers and putting them on and taking them off constantly, day in and day out is not an option for me. The awesome Knight Vision docs suggested to me that Progressive Bifocals were the way to go with correction only for my up close problem. I have been wearing them now for over 4 years and they are Perfect for me!
I can also say without any hesitation that the Front Desk Staff, Medical Assistants and the Optical Staff are the best I’ve ever experienced. They are always professional, friendly and courteous. I am never waiting to be seen for more than a few minutes in the lobby. Also, the docs are very prompt too! The Opticians are great. They will never try to sell you something you don’t need and they are super respectful of budgets. Plus, the quality of the frames and lenses are top notch, prices reasonable, and they will make sure they fit properly. Any issues at all, you just take them back and can be easily adjusted by their talented staff. These lovely people are not in the business of selling glasses primarily to make a profit like the chain optical places are. They are there to serve Knight Vision patients and uphold the practice’s high level of customer satisfaction. Don’t get me wrong, though. They also all have a great eye for style and color and are great at helping people choose frames that compliment face shape and and personality. My philosophy is if I have to wear glasses, then they gotta be funky. I never leave the Optical department with anything that I don’t love 100%.

I’ve gone to Knight Vision three times in the past 10 years for new glasses. While I’ve had good experiences at other venues, the level of expertise by Dr. Knight and his staff is a notch or two above the others.
They use the newest technology, and while they don’t have the largest selection of frames in stock, they have a sufficient amount. There’s no sense in having too many options, since choosing a set of frames is stressful enough as it is.
The staff is friendly and helpful. One staff member has helped me pick out my last two frames and I think she did a nice job, so I now trust her judgement, and that helps alleviate some of the stressful process.
I will stop trying other places and just stick with Knight Vision, well as least as long as they are part of my insurance plan.

Dr. Bembenek of Knight Vision & Glaucoma Specialists is THE BEST! No need to dread getting your eyes checked with Dr. B! She’s super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I will recommend her and the rest of the crew at Knight Vision to everyone!
