For such a small city, Milpitas sure has a lot of dentists to choose from. A couple of years ago I switched to Dr. Chin purely out of convenience of location but I decided to stay because of the staff.
I took an embarrassingly long break from the dentist and was pleasantly surprised at how the staff treated me. I guess I’m still scarred from my childhood dentist and was prepared to be scolded or lectured but there was none of that. Dr. Chin and Lilian genuinely cared about what I had been up to and never questioned my absence. Lilian remembered details about my personal life that I had shared and I felt like no time had passed. My cleaning went well with minimal discomfort as Lilian checked to make sure I was okay.
I like that the staff is small. They are very welcoming and seem to know everyone. I don’t feel like just a number or a name on a chart.
There’s nothing more I could have asked for out of my experiences so far. :)

The DDS and our Hygenist, Lilian, are fantastic. We are so happy with them that even after moving 30 min away, we are still coming back. It’s been three years and while there are plenty of closer dentists, we plan to keep coming back!

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times now. Dr. Chin and his staff are great!

I’ve been a long time patient of Dr. Chin, however due to being laid off I haven’t had Dental insurance until recently (about 3 years). After dealing with several dentist offices within my «new» HMO plan, I was so scared that I am going back to Dr. Chin, as I trust him and his office. I have NEVER had a bad experience at their practice. My lord, what has happened recently that I would I would rather pay out of pocket for someone I trust than go through an HMO. But I am actually looking forward to my appt tomorrow, I just cannot go somewhere where I am not comfortable. I had to take a deep dive to what’s important to me today, and my safety in the chair wins out over insurance coverage. Period!

I have been a patient for many years. My experience with dr. Chin is always a good one, because I know he will be very gentle and takes his time he is not in a hurry like many others he never or very seldom has two patients at
you know he will and is there for YOU ONLY. As for the hygienist she is so friendly and gentle as well. i always leave the office very happy!

So this is my first review… if you know me, I don’t write reviews, so you will find that if I have written anything it’s because it is extremely worth writing about!
I used to drive from San Jose to Hollister because I not only liked, but TRUSTED my dentist. He retired a few years back and left me on the hunt for a new, possibly closer dentist. My friend had just finished a Dental Hygiene Program and had referred me to Dr. Chin.
Not only is he professional, he is extremely thorough. If he doesn’t like something, whether it be a crown, filling, etc. and it’s not to his liking, he starts over and completes the process again. I like and appreciate that he is a perfectionist at what he does, as his perfection, benefits myself! My teeth are very important, and it’s important to trust in someone to do a good job and care about you as much as YOU.
As for his beautiful staff, these ladies are smiling whether it’s rain or shine outside. Patience, consideration, as well as knowledge radiates from all of the staff. Just some bonuses are that I have never had a long wait (most I have waited is 5 minutes), nor have I ever went in expecting a half hour appointment and come out 2 hours later lol. I also have NEVER had a question go unanswered or left feeling confused about anything from a bill to an instrument used on my mouth.
I say give Louistina a call and find out for yourself how amazing this dentist and staff really is

Dr. chin has been my dentist for many years. He has to be one of the most gentlest & most professional dentist I have ever met. He makes you so comfortable & at ease. He always talks to you like a friend. I never get nervous when I have to go to him. I must say though I was having my two front teeth done & that was my first time feeling a little anxiety. Those two front teeth can change your whole smile. I wanted them to look so natural so yes the nerves kicked in. Well I should of Known I would have nothing to worry about with Dr. Chin. He did a wonderful job & you can’t even tell they are capped. He matched them to perfection. I have to say he gave me back my confidence & I haven’t quit smiling since. I have to add His whole staff are the nicest people you could meet. Lillian is also to be commended for being a great hygienist. She too has a wonderful personality. I look forward to having my teeth cleaned twice a year with her. You will not be disappointed. I hope my pictures will show how nice my front teeth look.

Dr. Chin and his staff are professional and courteous. I’ve been a patient ever since he came to this location, which was around 2006 if I remember correctly, and have always been happy with their service. Dr. Chin is patient in explaining things and makes suggestions for work he thinks you can benefit from, but is never pushy. Hygenist Lillian is careful and thorough, never rushing through her work. Both will make you feel at ease while you’re in the chair.

There are no words to explain how great dr. Chin and his team are. What a great bunch of people who truly care about your overall needs!
Dr. chin is great about listening to his patients and understanding his patients needs and fears. He doesn’t pick or scold you as others dentists have been know to do, instead he approaches his patients with kindness and respect. Lillian, the hygienist, has such a gentle touch and makes the appointment fly by with her stories.
In fact, I don’t break a sweat anymore when I visit the dentist (as I had in the past), because Dr. chin’s office feels more like a friends house than a dental office.

I have been coming to this office since I was a kid when Dr. Cooley (awesome and RIP) was here, then Mussone (did not care for him), and now Dr. Chin! Dr. Chin is awesome, gentle, easy to talk to, and most of all he listens to you about your teeth! My late husband and I almost left this office when Mussone had it. Then we got the great news Chin was taking over. I feel Dr. Chin had a LOT of cleaning up to do after Mussone. Both My Late Husband and I had to have things Mussone did redone by Dr. Chin and we could not be happier! Dr. Chin is an excellent Dentist that I trust 110%. I moved to South SJ and still travel to Milpitas for Dental Appointments with Dr. Chin. Also The person who cleans my teeth ROCKS!!! I won’t give her name because I don’t want you taking my spot for appointments. I will say that I miss Gina from the office.

I had my semi-​annual cleaning yesterday. As always, it was a pleasant experience. I receive excellent care at Dr. Chin’s office. Dr. Chin and the dental hygenist, who has been with him for several years, work together to provide complete care. Dr. Chin reviewed my x-​rays and did an examination following my cleaning. The office is friendly and comfortable and the dental care is excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Chin and his staff to serve your dental care needs.

Dr. Chin makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience. He knows his stuff and gets the job done quick! Highly recommend this Dental Office!

Dr. Chin and team are great. Lillian is gentle and fast cleaning my teeth, Dr. Chin is knowledgable, and skilled and explains things as you go along so there are no surprises and the work progresses, and Gina is top notch working with the insurance companies keeping everything coordinated and chasing preauthorizations. Overall a great place to have your dental needs cared for.

I just got back from my cleaning appointment with Lillian from Doctor Stanley Chin’s office. She did an amazing job cleaning my teeth! I was also very impressed with Gina who works in the front office. We recently changed dental insurance and our name wasn’t updated on the insurance website. Gina was super patient as she called the insurance company twice and had to follow up with the human resource department from my husbands company. Most dental offices would have made me pay cash and figure out the insurance on my own. The level of service that Stanley Chin’s office provides is top-​notch!

Like most people I hate to go to the dentist. However, going to Dr. Chin has made this feeling go away. Yes, I still don’t like to have work done but he is so gentle and caring that it doesn’t bother me anymore. He and his team in the office are awesome. I recommend my friends to change to him for their dental needs. Dr. Chin is the greatest!

The best dentist I have ever been to. He is do considerate and compassionate. He sincerely cares for his patients and creates a meaningful relationship with them. The staff is also top of the line. I really like Gina and his Dental Hygienist (I forgot her name, but she is really great as well).

Dr. Chin asked if I wrote a review on Unilocal because he was sure I was «Steph C.» I told him he was crazy and I didn’t BUTTTTTT I guess I did. haha oh well. I still stand by my 5 stars. Dr. Chin and his staff are very friendly and make me hate the dentist a little less.
They send email reminder, text reminders and post card reminders. I’m sure you can opt out of any of the above but for forgetful people like myself the more reminders the better. He is open on Saturdays now which is awesome because my schedule is so crazy and planning something 6 months in advance is almost impossible.
Overall I have nothing bad to say about this place. They are very clean, organized and friendly.

Dr. Stanley Chin and his team is awesome! I went here for some routine cleaning and dental filling and they made sure I was comfortable and knew what was going on. Yes yes, I promise to floss from now on!
Overall I had a pretty good experience here considering its going to the dentist, would recommend him to anyone.

Nice dentist office. I’m always anxious about going to the dentist, so I appreciate that Dr. Chin has a mellow and calming demeanor. He doesn’t make me feel like a retard for being scared of the instruments, and actually makes me feel more relaxed. I’ve never had to wait for my appointment, which is rare. I’m actually able to go during my lunch break and still get back to work for the rest of the day (or stop at the Milpitas Ranch 99 and do some grocery shopping!). I just feel like he and his entire dental staff are friendly and honest (unlike other scammy or unfriendly offices I’ve been to where the staff have rolled their eyes at me for various reasons).

) which is cool because, besides being able to find directions and contact info and the usual website stuff, there’s also a page just for new patients, where you can download new patient forms online (yeah, it saves time filling out the form in office) and also it tells you about insurance info and payment options.
