The only reason this store stays in business is due to the lack of viable options anywhere close by. I’ve been in for parts several times for my F350 and generally the staff knowledge is marginal at best. When I needed new front wheel bearing assemblies about a year ago, the kid behind the counter was clueless. I still remember his excuse, «I’m more into Honda’s so…» Well Jr., I’m not and I’m the paying customer so pull your head out!
Tonight was the last straw. After sitting for a couple of weeks, my car’s battery was dead. I jumped it with the truck and drove it around from Milpitas to Cupertino, to San Jose and back. When I came out from dinner it was no-​go. After finding someone to jump it again, I went straight to O’ Reilly for a check. It’s Saturday night, about 8:20 and I’m dead in the water if I shut it off again… I knew it wasn’t the alternator since I wasn’t getting a charging system fault message. I just needed to know if the battery was toast or just in need of a longer charge cycle. The ASSistant Manager (emphasis added) refused to help me because they only had 2 people on duty and one couldn’t be alone in the store. Never mind that the other guy was outside emptying the trash receptacles! So tomorrow I’m going to Batteries Plus and probably dropping a couple hundred $$ on a new battery. Their loss! I don’t care if I have to drive all the way across the south-​bay from now on, I’m taking my business somewhere else!

Worse ever. Stood 5 min waiting for cashier while they were talking to each other. 1 out of 4 was busy. Bad customer service. Never coming here again.

Everytime you drive by this place the catchy song just keeps playing in my head! Ohhh Ohh Ohhh ohhhh reilyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I enjoy going to these small hardware stores, they provide pretty good customer service!

Came in to buy a battery for my key remote after Rite Aid and Walgreens did not carry it. They had the battery and even offered to put in for me. I declined but borrowed their precision screwdriver, which worked perfectly. Quick, great service right from when I came in to when I left. Very good, helpful employees.

My vehicle, which I take great care of, was recently scratched while parked :(I know right, boo! the driver who scratched it and drove away…
I was in Milpitas when this happened. I was looking for a store where I could buy something to smooth out the scratch with and then buff it and polish to minimize the damage. It wasnt a scratch worth taking to a service specialist.
I discovered the O’Reilly auto parts right off of 237, there used to be a Party City there before.
anyway, I walked in to the store, totally clueless as I’ve never had to do this before. One of the store representatives so über helpful, he walked out with me to my car, examined the scratch. We walked back in and looked at some products to remedy the situation.
He explained two/​three different products to me, told me what exactly they’d do so I have my expectations right and then told me the prices. He did NOT simply try to sell me the most expensive product. I could trust his advice and yes! the product helped a lot!
I’d go back here for other car care needs in the future. They sell a huge variety of car care products. Check them out.

I went to the store yesterday and got a car battery for 170 bucks total. i put it on when i was home, but nothing happened. Then, I put my old battery back on and drove back to the store. The guy told me that there was no way I could return the god damn battery. They should have told me that before I paid, but they didn’t. This store sucks. I wouldn’t be back anymore.

I came here right after visiting Party City which is in the same plaza. As soon as I entered the store I was immediately greeted by an associate. He said hello and asked me how my day was going. After a few exchanged words, I asked him where the ATF was located. He walked me to the back corner of the store where their Oil/​ATF was located and helped me picking the right ATF for my vehicle, wh-​what!!!
Very friendly service that’s why I’m giving this place 5 stars.

Came here to get some oil for the car and they are pretty nice here. Very consistent in regards to customer service. If they dont stock it they will order it for you.
Prices are very reasonable and competitive. This is the closest Oreilly to me and its my go to place if I need anything automobile related.
They do have free oil recycling but everytime we go, its always full. I am not sure how often they empty the tank or maybe I just have bad timing.

So I know it’s not common to use an employees name when writing reviews but I felt that I had to in this case. I was having trouble with my car and I came in for a replacement battery. It was hot and I am very pregnant and I was already irritated because my car troubles. To make a long story short a guy named Timee (sp) was so amazing and accommodating that it really made my day. Thank you for being so helpful!!! It’s nice to know there are still people who care about customers as people instead of numbers!

I needed a Certain Fuel Additive that I like to use to clean my Fuel Injectors so I rolled by Oreilly. I went to the Engine Chemical section and they had the Additive I needed.
They seemed to be Well Stocked and Fairly Organized. The Store was formerly a Kragens.
I paid by Discover Card and rolled out.

With these rainy days I thought I’d stop an auto parts and get new windshield wipers because the ones I had weren’t doing such a great job anymore. This auto parts is relatively close to my son’s school and I decided to stop by and get the pair. I came in and told the clerk my car year and model and he told me which ones I needed. He was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable enough so I bought the ones he suggested. To my surprise when I got home and my neighbor put them on, the driver’s side one didn’t seemed quite right. I was not a happy camper… (hence my 4 stars only…) Next day I went back and the guy that helped me was super nice. Didn’t ask me 100 questions or anything. Didn’t even see my receipt! He went to look at my car, noticed what was wrong with it, went back in the store came back with a new one, put it on, asked me to try it out and MAGIC. He got the right one! So, even though I had to go a second time, i think everyone deserves a second chance and I was very satisfied with my visit here. Next time I’ll double check what i buy but i will most likely go back there and even recommend the place. Thanks! :)

They’ve taken over the old Kragen location but it’s basically the same. Although, they don’t sell oil by the case at a discounted price as the other did.
