Kelly-Moore Paints

I brought a patch of the drywall to find a matched color. I thought it was a long shot. I am surprised how amazing these people are. First they analyzed the sample by computer and found a close color. Then they try to match it by slowly fine tuning the color. The process took about half hour. They did it patiently until there’s almost no difference. The paint matches the old paint of my living room perfectly.

This place has the best sales reps. Kenneth was very patient with us. He told us the difference between all the paints and even told us which ones were popular. He was super nice and even carried the paint to my car for me. I highly recommend this store for paint.

Over the last few weeks, I have bought a lot of paint at the Milpitas store as we are repainting our home. Each time we have gone to the store, we have waited to be helped by Demetrius, who has the biggest smile and the happiest disposition… even on a early Sunday morning.
Today, he made my day. I had bought 15 gallons of paint for the exterior. Went home to find out that the store employee helping me had mixed interior paint vs the exterior paint I had asked for. I had spent close to $ 700 so I was in a panic. I went back to the store with the intent of speaking with the store manager to ask for his help to make it right. Turns out Demetrius IS the store manager and he took care of me and swapped out the paint with his usual smile.
Kelly Moore, Demetrius is a keeper and an excellent ambassador for you. Because of the superior customer service he provided today, I will continue to go to this Kelly Moore Store and recommend the store to my friends, my contractor and designer with whom I work.

I came in twice to get paint for our house. The service was great. The salesmen especially Mike were extremely friendly and helpful. They know their paint and made great recommendations. I was in a hurry and they were able to accommodate me. They matched my existing paint color perfectly. Thank you, Mike for making my trips to your store stress-​free. I will definitely come back again and tell my friends!

Happen to be in the area and needed paint for my kids rooms, kitchen and garage. Had the exact colors for the kids rooms but needed to color match the kitchen. Mike was extremely helpful in matching the exact color I needed. Had to get more paint so I gladly drove to this store instead of the other closer stores around me. Wife is happy so I am very happy. Needed to paint the interior of my house. Dropped by this hole in the wall store. Had to look for everything myself. The 2 workers behind the counter sounded like they didn’t want to be there and sounded agitated when I asked them a question. They have all the paint supplies you need but I left emptied handed because I felt like I wasn’t welcomed there.

I visited Kelly Moore two days in a row looking for paint for my new condo. KM is truly THE PAINTER’S PAINT STORE. I can see how they are immensely popular with painters and contractors.
Before going into the store I looked at Unilocal reviews so I knew off hand I would not be getting much help in color schemes or extensive consultation. KM’s business model is clearly aimed at the contractor market. From what I understand about the product I would love to see the company move in more consumer focuses efforts. They have a few anemic brochures to help end consumers find colors but it was not much help.
I am giving this store 4 stars because of the GREAT SERVICE. All the guys were very friendly, helpful and honest & sincere. Painters love them because the quality and discounts but if you need help choosing colors you might want to get help elsewhere.

I just want to thank u Mike, the assistant manager for taking care of my last minute request. I came from San Jose and called the store at 5:28pm and was able to spoke with mike and asked him if I can still buy the a gallon of the paint I needed. Without hesitation, he told me to come over and we will make it for me. I really appreciate it even I know they close at 5:30pm but still he was able to take care of the customer. Thank you very much for doing agreat job!!!

Great service, attention to details and clearly professionals (Mike, Rich and the Manager) that do know their stuff. Mike even waited 15′ after closing time so I could pick up my order!
What a user experience! I recommend to anyone.

Got great service on color matching couple of colors from Restoration Hardware that I wanted to try. Mike, the assistant store manager, made the samples to match perfectly and all despite walking into the store 30 minutes before their closing time.
I highly recommend them.

I’m surprised to read the bad reviews here. We were greeted by all of the employees and one of them spent time with us discussing our paint choice. He steered us away from a darker pink that may have given the room a Dr. Pepper color. We ended up picking a much lighter color for the room that probably saved us much some headache down the road.
When we got home, we realized we bought the wrong finish. We were told that egg shell is easier to clean especially for a kid’s room. The store policy is that we cannot return the paint after the color was mixed. Nevertheless, we called the store hoping to get an exchange. We explained the reason to the manager that we were buying the paint for our new baby’s room fully expecting not to be able to exchange it. The manager after some hesitation made the exception for us knowing that they’d likely take a loss for the gallon. For that we are very appreciative.
Maybe they have changed management here but our experience was totally different from the other reviews here.

The service at this store is very poor. They don’t have any color schemes to help in finding a good combination of colors. All they have is a little stand with different spectrum of individual colors which I found doesn’t help me at all.

Employees are not friendly here… NO smile at all!!!
I bought 2 cans of paint in October for $ 28.90 each in this store, but then I found it’s not enough for my room, so I got to buy another same one again 2 days later at the other store in San Lorenzo.
When I pay, the guy charged me for $ 20.23 each, so I asked why the price is so much difference at this store comparing to the one at Milpitas…
The guy told me that should be the same because they’ve the same promotion 30% off for a long time. Too bad that he couldn’t refund the difference to me at San Lorenzo store.
I’ll never go back to this store again since they’re not honest at all and they’re robbers!!!
