Sunshine Studio Airbrush Tanning

I am not normally a fan of fake tans and I refuse to EVER «fake bake» and use tanning beds so this is the other healthier and quicker option to get a quick tan since I don’t like to lay out in the sun much. I had a special event coming up and thought I’d try spray tanning by an actual person rather than a machine that spits out bronzer on you and doesn’t get you evenly! (I’ll never do that one again!) Even though I was still slightly skeptical about spray tanning given my previous experience with the machine, Alexa definitely got rid of any hesitation I had! She was so thorough and really knew what she was doing! The tan actually lasted up to two weeks on me and didn’t get blotchy. When it finally started to fade, it was easy to wash off. I just called her for my next appointment before I head out of town, needless to say I will be a regular customer from now on! Thanks Alexa!

i have been trying to get an appointment for the past 3 days now and they have not called me back. this has happened to me a coupke of times at this same salon. i do not reccomend this salon because it is very unreliable! but if you are willing to call everyday till you can get ahold of them then go for it

I loved my tan when I walked out and I was really excited. It was a whole new me. You know how a good dose of sun can make you more confident and alive, well that is what this spray tan did for me. However, I know my very fair skin doesnt take color from the sun too well and after a day or two, I was pretty orange with the spray tan. I dont think this is the norm for most, especially those with a wonderful base color, but for me it didnt work. Alexa made the experience better, she was very friendly and very accommodating, as well as informative about the product. My elbows and knees were not dark, which is very important and I believe it is because Alexa really focuses on how she applies. I give it 5 stars because I know its really good, but I wouldnt get it again based on being maybe too fair and it looking unnatural on me.

This is my second time going to get a spray tan and I couldn’t be happier! The tan is even and looks very natural. I am a self conscious person that was able to forget that I was standing pretty much naked while talking to this wonderful very personable gal named Alexa. She was sweet as pie and really talked through how I wanted to look and what was this for… etc. I don’t know who that person is that gave a 1 star, but they must be crazy. I have already recommended her to two other friends and I will be a loyal customer as well.

Alexa is a GEM. She is professional and personable and make you feel very comfortable when you have very little clothes on when getting the spray tan. I totaly disagree with any negative reviews which seemed shaddy because it sounded so random. IF you need a natural looking tan from someone who KNOWS what they are doing you are in excellent hands do not look anywhere else. You would be foolish.

Tonight my mom and I went to Alexa for our first spray tan. Being that I am completely shy I was a little nervous. But Alexa is by far the sweetest person and makes you feel comfortable. I was so excited about the results and can’t wait to show off my tan. Thanks Alexa!!!

Alexa is awesome!
My company was having their annual gala and I wanted to look good in my summer dress. Looking at all the good reviews, I decided to give it a try. Alexa was so warm and welcoming. It was a super easy process, and even though I was incredibly nervous, she made standing in front of a stranger as comfortable as possible. My tan looked flawless! I loved the color and it lasted about 7 days. I was even impressed with how knowledgeable she was with the product and skincare. I would definitley recommend her to anyone looking for a glow! Can’t wait to go back!

Great price for an all over tan, Alexa got me the dark bronze color I asked for but unfortunatly after 3 days I was pasty white again and looking dirty in the areas the tan was fading. I followed all the instructions stayed lotioned up etc. she was super nice so I recomeded her to my sister I thought maybe it was my skin but the same thing happened to my sis, her tan faded super fast as well. I guess the spray solution used isnt for everyones skin.

I had never gotten an airbrush tan before, but Alexa did an amazing job. I normally go tanning in the beds since i had to get a quick tan i looked around and Alexa had the best deal around. Everyone thought my tan was real. which was a plus because i thought i would come out looking like Snookie from the show jersey shore. I will for sure come back again for another tan.

Looked on Unilocal for airbrush tanning, with consistent & positive reviews. This is how I found Alexa. I’m not new to airbrush tanning and have tried a few local places, without success (one being in Burlingame). I found someone in the south bay… but the distance didn’t make sense. Alexa is very friendly, has excellent knowledge & explained the product & equipment she uses. She put me at ease immediately. My tan looks exceptional & I’m happy to have found someone locally who has given me by far, the best, most natural looking tan in my history of airbrush tans. Alexa is amazing!
I’ve gotten a couple of airbrush tans in my day, but last week was the first time I went to Sunshine Studio, which I am beyond pleased about. I went in right before I left for a wedding in Tahoe, and with our SF weather where everyone calls it a beach day when it hits 65 degrees, I had to get some color. Alexa knows what she’s doing and is confident about giving you a really natural tan. She knows just where to add the right amount of color on each part of your body, like the arms because they usually get tanner than the rest of your body.
She was also super friendly, and even when I asked her a million and a half questions about how to not mess the tan up, she didn’t seem to mind and put me at ease.
My tan turned out really nice! It’s also lasting longer than my previous airbrush tans. Usually it starts getting blotchy on my skin after a couple of days, but no, this one’s still good! No one would have been able to guess that I got an airbrush tan if my boyfriend didn’t joke about it the whole weekend…

Out of all the spray tanning places to go, this one is IT.
First off, I’d like to say how amazingly friendly Alexa is. I was so self-​conscious and nervous about being nude in front of someone but she really knows how to make you feel extremely comfortable. I haven’t met someone so personable, friendly, funny and kind ever in my life! She it feel like you’ve known her for years. She is great.
Second, she does a great job at spray tanning. Mine ALWAYS comes out even and perfect just the way I want it to. I would always go to her for formal and prom in high school because there was no doubt in my mind that she would do an amazing job – not orange, not streaky – just a very even, natural looking, beautiful tan. I will never choose a different spray tanning place ever again and I will definitely be coming back for more!

The people were very nice but my experience was less than professional. This is not my first spray tan and I know a lot of places do things differently but there were a number of things that went wrong during my whole experience. I was brought into a room that looked like a covered up bathroom. Then was asked to change, while the girl was still standing right there! The cream was applied to my fingernails and palms sloppily and I can still see where she slapped in on now. When I was paying I mentioned I found them on Unilocal and they didn’t offer the discount they promised online. Now I’m stuck with an uneven tan, blotchy orange hands and feet and a white streak down the back of my arm. I don’t think I will be returning here.

This place is wonderful! My sister and I wanted a really nice tan for this weekend trip to socal and with all the research, I found sunshine studio. Alexa is very professional and amazing! She makes you feel so comfortable, answers all your questions and tells you everything you need to know. My sister and I left with an amazing natural tan and we bought a bottle of the infinity skin extender, which hydrates and extends the life of your tan. We will definitely be back!

First off, I want to begin by saying this was my first spray tan ever! I did some research on spray tan products that claimed to not make your skin orange. Shortly after reading a ton of reviews I found that the Infinity Sun system was the best of the best. With this in mind, I set out to find a professional in my area that was great at using this system, and I successfully found Alexa!
Alexa was extremely knowledgeable, and more importantly made me feel very comfortable. I asked her a ton of questions out of paranoia (haha), and she effortlessly answered all of them! She also customized my spray tan to look more natural by making my shoulders and my legs a little darker and my feet and hands lighter. I know this seems kind of odd, but my tan did look natural :).
If you want sunkissed skin sans orange, definitely visit Alexa!

Best tan ever! I’ve never been brave enough to step into a spray booth (the results on my friends’ skin looked too dicey for me) and I’ve never been one to lay out (I go straight from white to red). A trip to Florida prompted me to look into getting an airbrush tan and I am SOOOOO glad that I did. Alexa was amazing and incredibly professional. Everything was clean and ready when I arrived. I’ve gotten TONS of compliments and people are shocked when I tell them it’s a spray tan! I WISH I could make this gorgeous glow last forever! The price can’t be beat. I can’t wait to come back!

Alexa did such a great job my tan looked so great I got so many compliments and the best part is it wasn’t orange it was perfect! Its so inexpensive and she makes you feel so comfy. I will definately be back!

I’ve never had a spray tan before and I was a little nervous going in because I’ve seen the disasterous results of a bad spray tan (orange much?) However, after my experience here I’ll definitely be back for more.
The experience could be a little awkward, however, Alexa was very professional and also welcoming. I felt comfortable and relaxed with her. Her area is clean and organized as well as gives you a sense of privacy.
She explained everything as she went, which I really liked as it was my first spray tan, and the whole process was over pretty quickly!
The end results were perfect! No orangey coloring and no spots or streaks. I was very pleased and I’m definitely going to be starting my summer off this year with another tan by Alexa.
