Great place to get your nails done. The staff is great and the quality of work is A plus. I would recommend this salon to anyone who enjoys the process of getting their nails done.

Got a mani-​pedi here and they did an excellent job. Staff was nice and friendly. Reasonably priced for the area ($ 35). I look forward to my next mani-​pedi here!

I am a very happy weekly customer at Trio Salon. Jenny and Minh are mother/​daughter owners who bought a «tired» shop two years ago. Right away the difference was noticeable. They replaced many products with much higher quality items including adding organic polish. They take no shortcuts such as thinning out old/​thick polish to extend the bottle (this never works — it ruins the pigment of the polish). Instead, they toss it and get a fresh bottle. Minh and Jenny are both very sweet and soft spoken — always professional. The review from «Regina» is way off base and certainly not indicative of the service I always enjoy.
Give them a try, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised and you’ll be a return customer too!

I went to Trio Salon yesterday for the first time. My decision was based on the many positive reviews on Unilocal.I am happy to report the positive reviews are accurate. The salon is very clean with lots of natural light coming in through the windows. The staff is welcoming, courteous and professional. I had a pedicure that was one of the best I have ever had. The woman who did the pedicure was gentle and quietly gave me one of the best pedicures I have ever had. My toenails look beautiful! And the pedicure was done without any incidents of being poked by a sharp instrument or roughness when smoothing the calluses. Relaxing music and hot green tea. And all for a VERY reasonable price. I will definitely be going back.

I go to Trio Salon on a regular basis since the ownership changed. I am very happy with their work. My nails and toes always look meticulous after I leave the shop. The owner is a young woman named Minh. She is polite, speaks English very well and is very professional. I told my nephew to go there for his haircuts since he was unhappy with his current stylist. Xuan is the hairdresser at the shop. My nephew was thrilled with the results. He was happily surprised at how great he looked for $ 25.00. They also do waxing, hair color and highlights.

I want to start by saying I have never given a place one star, and I really had to think about it before posting. Let me start with the positive: The pedicure was fine, and the salon is clean. I went for an acrylic manicure and a gel pedicure. It seemed like the longer I was there the more of a pain this was going to be so I opted for a regular pedi, which was fine. Then I got my acrylics done by a woman with a ponytail and glasses, I forgot her name. She filed my nails down so far there is a dent in the surface of the nail now. I wanted a neutral color, and one nail covered with rhinestones but she refused to do this and stuck them on in a random pattern. My friend said it looked like a child did it. She then charged FIFTEEN DOLLARS which is insane, usually I’ve been charged $ 3 – 5 per nail for much more complex designs. I then asked if she was going to put a top coat over the nails with rhinestones and she said no, so I asked her if she could to which she also said no. I get my nails done very frequently and this is common practice but I didn’t want to be rude so I let her go on. Then it got weird. I forgot my wallet at home and my roommate offered to bring it to me. I work next door and said «I will leave my backpack and my house keys here and I have to go to work, I’ll be back at 4:30». I understand wanting to be immediately paid for services rendered, but mill valley is a small town and they can see my office from their front door. They made a huge scene about it, yelling back and forth at each other in the salon, and then told me they wanted to keep my cell phone, which I found crazy (it’s worth 8x the service!) and also needed for work. So eventually I just left. In the TWO HOURS I was gone my GEL ACRYLIC chipped. I came back and paid them and one of the women offered to fix it so I said I would come back the next day. By the next day 4 rhinestones had fallen off so they had to replace those too, and all they did was file down the chipped nail instead of repainting it so now my nails were uneven! I was hoping now they’d be fine but the rhinestones fell off again in a few days. Because she had filed my nails so thin and done the powder thin they all began to break below the nail and it’s very painful. I had high hopes for this salon. If you’re going for just a pedicure you are likely safe but don’t go here for acrylics.

Best mani — pedi I’ve had in awhile! The people there are great and do a wonderful job. I’ll be switching to go to Trio regularly now.

This is the best pedicure I have gotten in Mill Valley!
The salon was busy (which is always a good sign), but they were able to get me seated right away even without an appointment. It was tidy and I watched as they sanitized each foot bath very careful in between clients. They had a great selection of well organized polish colors.
Now on to the actual pedicure. Great scrubbing and trimming of nails and cuticles without being rough. I almost fell asleep during the massage portion because it was so relaxing and lengthy. She did a great job with the nail polish and top coat.
All around great experience. Very detail oriented. Will definitely be returning and making this my go to nail salon!

Jenny did an amazing job! The first design she did she didn’t like (artists are our own worst critics), so she swiped it clean and did a new one. The results? Flawless! Highly recommended!

Trio Salon is fantastic! After visiting once or twice, the owner remembered my name and exclaims with excitement every time I come in. That alone, is reason enough to go. The staff really cares about their customers and they spend a lot of time working on you. I always get pedicures. I feel like so many places rush through the job, but at Trio they really take the time to pamper you and do it right. I am always satisfied with the service I get there! I would suggest that if you want to drop by without an appointment, you do it on a weekday when they are less busy!

I love this salon, especially since it changed owners a year ago. I noticed that all the negative Unilocal reviews are for the PREVIOUS owners. I just got a paraffin wax mani pedi and it felt so good. All the women there are so kind and friendly. They learned my name and always offer tea when I go in. I think it’s owned by a mother and daughter team. I highly recommend this salon

I LOVE Trio Salon! Minh and Jenny and all of the women are so friendly and helpful. My manicures and pedicures are neat and beautiful. I always feel welcome and relaxed when I go there. Yesterday I tried something new and had Sung cut and color my hair. I had been watching her for over a year with other customers and lo and behold, she did a GREAT job! I am so pleased.

Fabulous ladies, comfortable chairs, full service salon and they pleasant music. It doesn’t get better than that.

Just had a pedicure here today, with my friend for my birthday — and they did a fabulous job! Super clean spa and they follow strict health & safety requirements for instruments. Min did an excellent job with shaping, nail painting & massage, and was so nice to talk with. I can’t wait to go back for a mani & pedi!

I am an out of town cosmetologist and needed a pedi so badly, Jenny fit us in and it was heavenly. She is so patient and sweet. Great time!

I recently moved to Mill Valley and was in search of a great nail salon. I always trekked into the city but I recently found Trio. Under new management and offering a couple of new treatments, I am done going into the city!!! Between the sea salt oil they use to massage your legs, the convenience of getting my eye brows died while my nails dry, the paraffin wax as well the nice professional women that help me, I am sold!
Parking is easy and pricing are competitive if not cheaper than other MV nail salons.
Give it a try!!!

The pedi I received was ok. The Essie nail polish was old and thick. Rather than tell me it was no good and suggest a different color, the technician painted my toes anyhow. When I opened my eyes to see the final product, I was annoyed and displeased. it looked streaky and caked. It looked really amateur. Also the polish wasn’t cleared up around the cuticles. They looked sloppy and like a child had done them, but I had to be somewhere else to be and didn’t have time to debate it.
I told two ladies my daughter was only having her toes painted. They asked a third lady to take care of her polish. She started with a mani before consulting me. I reminded them politely that I only authorized a pedi for her. They didn’t offer to comp the service or anything. My daughter is too young to be responsible for this. It was pretty unprofessional and dishonest on the owner and technicians part.
I wouldn’t return.
Sloppy work and scamming my child are pretty inexcusable.
