I almost died at 26: I have a genetic disorder that landed me in the hospital for 3 months in 2013. Raymond is a consumate professional. He has been practicing for so many years that he is now an elder in the community, without being old. He puts you at ease immediately. He has already treated someone for what you will need treatment for. He is confident without being off putting. He is smart and compassionate. I have been to perhaps 30 Accupuncturists in my life due to living in several states within the US as well as several countries abroad, including Asia where I have been treated at University Hospitals etc and Raymond is the best bar none. Finally, he is a healer and that is rare as so many people are getting certified in this science and know where to put the needle however few can heal.

I’ve been going to see Raymond Himmel for several years. I live in the East Bay but I go all the way to Mill Valley just to see him. He’s treated me for digestive issues, colds, pain — even weight loss! Raymond is patient, charming, funny, comforting and, most importantly, an expert in Chinese Medicine!

Raymond is the best acupuncturist I have ever seen and I’ve seen a few. He’s helped me with some tooth pain that lingers from lyme disease. I see him at least once a month yet he’s never insistent on my return, he lets me make the call. He also has prescribed herbs for me, that have actually been helpful, and never made me feel obligated to buy any additional to my appointment. Bottom line: he makes me feel better and is fun to see.

I have been going to Raymond for acupuncture for 7 years. Not only is he skilled and knowledgeable, he is a wonderful person! I always get an incredibly restful nap when I have a treatment and feel a new level of calm when I leave. He is a pro with herbs and supplements of all kinds.
