The Uptown Center is here to be your new favorite spot for Chicago entertainment & Venue hosting, here in Indiana. Formerly known as «The Canterbury», The Uptown Center is a theater that has been meticulously restored to its original architectural style and sophistication. With its decorative columns and luminous vintage tones there is a warm and inviting atmosphere in this almost forgotten historical and luminous venue. Built in 1867, it was once a community favorite for plays and productions, that was sadly closed down for close to 15 years… until now! Just one hour from Chicago and along the southern shores of beautiful Lake Michigan in the heart of historical Michigan City, The Uptown Center is well on its way to being that once favorite spot for events, entertainment and more!
