RiteCare Urgent Care Medical Center – Brickell

Went to get advice/​treatment for insomnia on more than one occasion. Still experiencing insomnia. Dr. Joukar was a great doctor and so was Alicia Coker when she worked there.
Otherwise the half ass excuse of medical professionals that work there have had the nerve of responding «I am not a psychologist.» Or something to the extent of I can’t help you while recommending over the counter tylenol PM or hot tea as a healthier alternative. As if I hadn’t already tried all of those before visiting urgent care for being awake for 3 days straight.
Bottom line is some «doctors» that have treated me there honestly did not give a shit about my health, but more about billing the insurance.
There must be something a doctor can do about such a common problem as chronic insomnia? Right?
Would NOT go back. I feel like two stars is being nice.

Over Christmas I had my family to visit me from Venezuela what I didn’t know is that my sister brought a passenger with her not desired (an infection in her right breast)
Two days after she arrived she got fever and a lot of pain in her right breast I immediately rush to a local hospital JMH where it took hours and because of the holly days no one was available.
I look up for an urgent care close by and RITE CARE URGENT CARE was suggested by Unilocal.
Boy… They honor their name we got there and we were welcome by a very friendly and competent staff in a matter of minutes Dr Hossein Joukar was ordering an emergency blood work and after and intensive and very specific occultation he prescribed her a course of antibiotics and an anti inflammatory. After the Dr spending over 30 minutes going over the symptoms and what cause this infection my own sister realize that she had hit her breast with the door knob about two weeks ago and progressively the pain had worsen she also explained that she had a breast reduction 10 month ago and a small lump was still there. And this is why they honor their name the Dr get it right they both call my sisters surgeon and Dr Joukar and a staff member spoke to her surgeon in Venezuela. what can I say we went home after that to have a merry merry Christmas (happy times)

Bad, right from the start. When I walked in the first time the guy at the front desk tells me that they don’t take Molina, when, in fact, they do.(but I didn’t know it at the time) So, I left, went home and had to make second trip over there the same day. Once I got there the second time there was only one other person in waiting room and it still forever to get called to the back. Once I was in the back in one of the examining rooms, the wait was even longer. When Dr Maria Game asked me if I was pregnant. I AM A 63 YEAR OLD WOMAN. SERIOUSLY???, I SAI D TO HER in amazement. (how stupid is that?) and she stared me down and down and told me how rude I was! So, I’m rude, she’s an idiot!

I read the reviews and was very hesitant to go. However, it’s the closest place to home and the one with convenient hours at the time. I got there at 9am when they opened and still had to wait 40 minutes!!! The staff is not the friendliest and the environment is subpar. The waiting room has about 6 chairs and the rest is people standing around coughing in your face. I found it incredibly rude that the nurses were discussing patients needs/​illnesses out loud in front of other patients, while at the same time cracking jokes about it. Really? So much for HIPPA! Also, the gowns are washed and reused. Yuck! If you want to walk out way more ill than you when you walked in then I recommend you stop by.

After calling to make an appointment to be seen with pink eye symptoms, I was re assured I can come in as a walk in. I arrive and there is one person ahead of me. Slowly the waiting room begins to fill and I realize that everyone who arrived after me were being called in before me. I figure they must have more severe symptoms (later I realize this is not true). The office and nurse staff were inexperienced and extremely unprofessional. As the wait turns into hours, I start noticing how dirty the place is. The restroom had no method of hand drying available — completely unsanitary and unsafe for a health facility. It really just gives a dirty feel across the board. They also locked the door at 7 pm although their hours are labeled through 8 pm. The «nurse» who attended me did not make eye contact once, and seemed to be under the age of 21. The doctor finally arrived 2 hours later and agreed to give me drops for pink eye — she was warm and nice. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend. There is a Baptist Urgent Care right down the street that is open ²⁴⁄₇ and has way higher standards across the board. This location has the potential to serve brickell residents and falls very far from the expectations of many in the neighborhood.

I read the reviews on this and hesitated to go. A friend of mine recommended I go and I listened. Wait was extremely long although when I called previously I was told it wouldn’t be. Wasted 1.5 hours of my time for the doctor to tell me exactly what I’ve already read online. I tried asking additional questions and the doctor seemed anxious and in a rush to get me out of there. I didn’t feel appreciated or comforted. I almost walked out and went to a different urgent care center. No value for my time and money at all.

Got there when it opened at 9am had to wait around a half hour. Filled out the two forms at the front desk. It was clean, the test for work took all of five minutes and I was out of there. The lady I got, Cindy V, was super nice and efficient. The only complaint I had was parking, I’m from out of state and the only place I could find was the Hampton Inn Garage directly behind the building, it cost $ 3.00 for the first hour.

I came here because it was the closest clinic to me for a drug screen at work. If that’s the only purpose of your visit, I don’t recommend coming here because everybody around you will be sick.
The clinic should provide masks for those who want to wear them and don’t want to get sick. It’s kind of disgusting.
My appointment was at 10am on Saturday but they didn’t open until 10:07am. They called my name at 10:56 and a nurse took me to the back to tell me they were understaffed and I needed to come later. The following day I called to make sure I could get it done and they told yes so I walked in an out within 15 mins.
I think they should get organized to improve their business: people were asking for a call back when it was their turn the first day I came since they were taking so long…

Amazing staff! Provided me above and beyond care! Chris, Jason, Nicky and Dr. Motameni were so helpful and provided me such great care after feeling incredibly ill. I am so thankful for Chris, Nicky, Jason and Dr. Motameni. I recommend this clinic to all!

I came with my 1yr old with high fever and after waiting for 1hour, the doctor was completely clueless. Didn’t know how to exam a baby at all.

I went a few weeks ago to get treated for bronchitis. Exactly what I expected. Not warm and fuzzy but got the job done.

Seriously people what do you expect, it is not a JW Marriot it is an urgent care clinic. It looks clean enough. Staff is not the nicest but they are not rude either. Have you even been to other countries clinics, I have! We live in glory. Besides it is well ubicated and I prefer 1000 thousand times to go there than to a hospital full o killing germs. Or waiting 2 weeks for an appointment with a specialist. Seriously people complaint for nothing. I have been there 4 times. 3 for myself 1 for another friend. I have been taken care in less than 15 minutes. I have been prescribed the correct drugs and I felt better. I dont care if it is not a HILTON, I just want to feel better and the accomplish it. As any doctor they dont explain much but they do a sheet informing you about your ilness. There is plenty of metered parking around and it is in the heart of Brickell, what else do you want!

Dirtiest place I ever been treated at. 3^rd world countries look better and care more. Health Dept needs to SHUT them DOWN

We can talk about the STAFF but why talk about somebody who really DOES NOT CARE about anything other than siting at their desk and either talking about other patients and or what they posted on instagram/​facebook. But maybe when they get out of High School they will CARE. NOT

This is by far the worst customer service I’ve experienced…
Facility is not clean. They give you no clear instructions. I was given a cup to pee in it, and they didn’t properly label it, when I asked how would they know it was mine, the nurse just told me that I was the only person there.
The nurse didn’t know what NSA meant, and that could be life threatening for me.
Even worse, when I asked if they could fax the prescription they gave me to my pharmacy they asked for the number… Called back two days later to ask them to fax the information to the University of Miami radiology department (because it was a requirement to schedule the US appt) and they didn’t have a number either! what do they do? BAD BAD BAD! I was hoping for the facility to be at least decent, since the location is awesome and is just crossing the street from my house, but is NOT.

Quite possibly the most unprofessional medical experience I’ve ever had.
While I was attended to quickly, it was not what I had hoped for.
Upon walking in, there was a patient asking for some sort of certificate from a doctor to be allowed to work. While I was in my waiting room, the doctor and the nurse were discussing her issue right in front of my room, arguing in an extremely unprofessional manner.
When the doctor came in to see me, I told him I had a sore throat, I felt sick, I had a really important couple of weeks at word coming up and I couldn’t afford to be sick. He asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I told him that he was the doctor, shouldn’t he be the one telling me? He asked me if I wanted a z-​pack, and I said yes, if he thought it would help. So he told me it would if the infection was viral, the antibiotics wouldn’t work. So it was up to me if I wanted to test if the infection was viral or bacterial, but that I should just go ahead and take the z-​pack without the test.
While I was getting ready to pay/​leave, the same nurse or receptionist that was arguing with the doctor was on the phone with a friend talking about Instagram and her personal problems.
$ 100 for some throat prodding and a z-​pack prescription WITH health insurance.
I will not be returning.

I had literally just landed in Miami to visit family when my youngest took a terrible fall playing outside. My pediatrician recommended I take her to an urgent care immediately. I was scared, nervous, and 900 miles away from home. I went to Ritecare (after googling the nearest urgent care) and was so relieved to be greeted by two caring receptionists, an attentive and competent nurse, and a great doctor with excellent bedside manner. I also did not have to wait hours to be seen! As nice and as professional as they were I’m happy to say I did not have to visit them again on my trip. But at least I know where to go when I’m in town.

What a great facility! I went in for a shoulder and knee injuries sustained from a bicycle accident. The receptionist was professional, and courteous. The nurse was the same and the doctor, Dr. Druif, a true credit to his profession. My experience went so well I plan to make the doctor my family practitioner. I currently am uninsured and the pricing seemed to me to be very reasonable. $ 100 initial visit, numerous X-​rays of my shoulder, and knee, a tetanus shot, and 2 prescriptions filled. All for under $ 350. The facility is also very clean.

There are times when an Urgent Care Clinic is an alternative to a Hospital Emergency Room or waiting for an appointment with your doctor. On several occasions in the past several months, I’ve ended in the waiting room at Ritecare. This Urgent Care Medical Center was not what I expected. You are seen by a doctor, not Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. It has most of the same services as your doctor. Recently I learned that they even have an X-​ray machine as well as follow-​up appointments. They also have a pharmacy, but the ²⁴⁄₇ Walgreens is just down the street.
Ritecare is located on South Miami and SE 13^th in Brickell is open 7 days a week. There is metered parking on the nearby streets.
