La Boca House

This place had a sign on door last Thursday when we went for dinner saying it was closed for now. can only post this if I put a star to it!

Walked in for lunch. Place was empty and Glasses on table were dirty. Sat staring at waiter for 10 minutes. He never came to our table so we left.

I came with my husband, we tried the empanada (tasted great), the crunch chicken wings (very good sweet and spicy combination) and the house wrap with chicken (just perfect), and of course the mojito. Recommended place!

Great vibes! The mojitos were incredible. Also loved the chicken wings! Great casual restaurant!

This restaurant was not good. My children had salmon which was dry. I had the filet mignon which was over cooked, tasteless and not thick. I will not go back. The service was also bad

Ok so rarely do I give the 5 star rating (especially since the place next door got a zero star from me). I started out checking in and could only comment on service (which was amazing) but now I have eaten the food and can comment on the full experience .
Wow… Holy crap wow… I only ordered the burger (little burger and beer sitting outside on a Wednesday evening) and I can’t begin to describe this burger. Literally the best burger I have ever eaten… Anywhere… Ever… There was a combination of perfectly cooked seasoned beef and a sweetness from the grilled peppers that was completely out of this world. Seriously I can’t describe how great this burger was.
Great service, beer/​wine selection and some of the best food I have ever had (and coming from a chef I can say you impressed me). Wow even my free mojito for Unilocal checkin was good. I can’t wait until my next time in Brickell to try something else. Cheers.

I went to La Boca House with three other people for brunch on Sunday when the wait for OTC was over half an hour. We were seated immediately, but it took a long time to place our order and once we did it took a long while before we got our drinks. By the time my «cappuccino» arrived at the table, it was lukewarm and was actually a late. We ordered two ham & cheese croissants, and although the menu states they’re supposed to contain eggs, there was no egg to be seen. We also ordered an egg white omelet. When the omelette arrived at the table, we asked the server «is that an egg white omelette?» He assured us that it was, but it was clearly yellow. Since it took soooo long to get the food, we didn’t bother asking for revisions. The food was average at best, the service left much to be desired, and the coffee was served lukewarm. So, I doubt i’ll be paying La Boca House a second visit.

I’m not sure even where to even begin…
Upon checking in (on Unilocal), the manager, Lasandra, came out right away alerting us she really appreciates Unilocal users and let us know we would be taken care of. Our free mojitos were made extra strong and our waiter Carlos knew to take extra care in serving us.
Lasandra also made us aware the beef used at La Boca is of top quality and encouraged us to order the Angus Beef Burger (which I did). This was easily one of the best burgers I have had in Brickell. Tender juicy meat sandwiched between properly toasted buns. yum! The Mojito was also of exceptional quality. Served in a glass jar, strong hints of lime, mint, tonic water and actual rum spiced up the complimentary beverage. I could not have been more pleased with what was a free Mojito. The Cajun style fries and chicken wings here are also pretty stellar.
As more friends joined, I opted to have the bottomless mimosa deal (for $ 18). The waiter, Carlos, graciously delivered an entire pitcher to my table to ensure my glass wouldn’t find itself empty. Lasandra, the manager, steadily kept an eye on us ensuring our experience was nothing short of perfect. Be sure to use the «$ 15 for $ 30» Unilocal deal as this significantly reduced our bill.
Can’t believe how much fun I had here (especially for how reasonable the price was). Very much looking forward to making this my new go-​to spot in Brickell.

We came to Boca House by accident because OTC (next door) had a 40 minute wait. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, amazing service, and great ambience. We stayed for several rounds of drinks. As a bonus, we happened to be here for happy hour (it was a Thursday at 8:30p) and enjoyed $ 5 mojitos, margaritas, and glasses of wine. Drinks at this price is unheard of in Brickell.
For food, we had the mac and cheese, ribeye steak, and steak sandwich. The mac and cheese was creamy, flavorful, and was sprinkled with delicious pieces of crunchy bacon. This was a great dish to share with the table. My husband had the steak sandwich (flank steak, fried egg, tomatoes, cheese) which was cooked perfectly (very juicy). Great dish! For the ribeye, I asked for medium cooked and pink in the middle, but they brought out a dry and tough steak. I told our waitress and she was apologetic, friendly, professional, and brought me another steak promptly. The second ribeye was phenomenal! I would come back again just for this steak! My husband couldn’t stop eating my steak.
Our waitress was the highlight of our night! She was so friendly, attentive, and came by several times to make sure our dinner was going well. At the end, the manager stopped by and gave us free drink coupons. It was so refreshing to eat at a restaurant that respects its customers and genuinely care about their dining experience.

We came here because my sister had purchased a Gilt City deal which offered $ 100 worth of food. Instead of using the deal on this restaurant we decided to purchase the Unilocal deal for $ 15…bad idea because you really dont save any money. After we calculated it we only saved $ 4. I wish we had done more research on this place before coming. Looking at their website and Unilocal reviews it seem like it would be ok. plus the food looked good. We arrived and not one soul was in the restaurant. We still proceeded only because we had a play at the Arsht Center that was close by and just needed to eat before the show.
The waiter was also the bar tender and took awhile before we got our drinks. They were good Mojitos… but who really messes up Mojitos? The food was ok… I had the burger and my sis had their ravioli. The waiter explained that the restaurant was closing for renovations the next day and that they had a limited menu for the day. Why even open for business if you cant really deliver! I guess some money is better than no money in their eyes. Anyway… I most likely will not be returning to this restaurant.
Make sure you call to see what’s going on there before arriving.

I went last night with my cousin who I had not seen since I was a child. I live in San Francisco and she lives in New York. Our hotels were near by. This was probably one of the worst meals and atmospheres I have ever experienced in a restaurant. The music was loud and abrasive with commercials. We waited almost an hour for our salmon and it was dry. The manager did offer free desserts. I understand that there was a recent ownership change but I felt like I was in a tourist trap not a local eatery.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this little spot a chance since we’ve tried almost every spot in brickell. I had the steak sandwich which was average to say the least. The steak was too thick which made difficult to eat because when you bit into it the whole steak would come with you and slide off the bread. This is a bad choice if you’re on a date. Also, the steak had several pieces of skin from the meat and that was a problem too, to make the long story short. It was a bad choice.
My boyfriend had a burger and it was under cooked. He asked for well-​done and it was still bloody. Being the fatty he is, he still ate it. The fries where amazing though. I would probably go back just to order the fries.
You get a mojito when you check-​in but make sure to let them know before ordering because they’ll give you the most expensive mojito (Bacardi mojito) apparently they have several different ones, even though they’re happy hour sign says $ 5 mojitos.
Tip:You can’t use both the checkin promo with the Unilocal promo ($ 30 for $ 15), they only apply the Unilocal promotion to food.
My final comment is that our server didn’t no English and the hostess asked me if I knew spanish which I do but that doesn’t mean that I should speak to someone in Spanish to make them feel comfortable. I get that we’re in miami but it shouldn’t be excepted for your customers to know spanish.
Overall: the service wasn’t terrible and neither was the food but the menu and personnel need some tweaking.

Had dinner and drinks at La Boca house last night and had the best time ever!!! Customer service was on point… I will definitely be coming back as a regular even though it is a far drive from me because the food and service were great.

Our server recommended to order a bottle of wine instead of two glasses, great advise! Medium rare fillet mignon cocked to perfection. Carpaccio as appetizer totally worth it.

Must say this new spot in my neighborhood is great. Enjoying ordering when lazy to cook, stop by for their weekly dinner specials and love their weekend brunch. Can beat the bottomless mimosas!!!

We came for a quick dinner and ended up waiting about 45 minutes for 3 appetizer salads and over one hour for our main entrees. The food is okay, not worth the wait of over one hour for food. We even had to ask for refill of water. No Bueno!

My favorite place. Gotta love the good food and awesome environment!

We liked the other night so much we decided to come back (does not happen often). Plus how can you go wrong with their happy hour???
Order the cheese board, you won’t be disappointed its amazing and big enough for 4 people.
The filet was done perfect and that sauce is a great compliment to the steak.
Special shout out to the entire staff who went above and beyond for both meals.

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting La Boca House a number of times. The food has always been delicious. If there’s one item you must get, it’s the ravioli — trust me. It’s awesome. Service has always been prompt and friendly, too.
The first time I went was around the grand opening. At the time, the drinks were a mixed bag — some were outstanding while others were anything but. Since then, the cocktail menu has changed a bit and there has been noticeable improvement. A huge plus: They support local breweries (Funky Buddha!)
Overall, La Boca House is a welcome addition to Brickell and you should check it out at least once. I have yet to try the lunch specials, but the reasonable prices will have me visiting again very soon.

La Boca House has great service, friendly staff and the avocado mac n cheese is out of this world! It’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
