DO NOT JOIN!!! I’m giving one star because I have to put something. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I paid for 5 months as a deal to later found no out I was sick. I don’t need the membership or wanted because I’m also moving to another state. They won’t issue me a refund even though I’m providing proof of what I’m saying. Please think before joining this place. Once you sign that contract you are stuck. No wait getting out of that. Another gym that promise and then is not more than a kind of nice place with awful costumer service. I’ll make sure that everyone knows this so no one has to go through this like me.

This place is a con. They will tie you into a contract that they say you can cancel at anytime, and you can. They’ll just charge you a 3^rd of the remaining balance.
I enrolled my 6yr old son bc I wanted to see how he’d like it. They only advertise everywhere that you get 30 days free, so I thought I’d give it a try. If I didn’t like it, then I’d take him out. Well it’s horrible. I remember being in karate and getting hit with a stick if I didn’t listen to the instructor. There’s no respect from student to instructor. It’s playtime for an hour. It’s $ 160/​mo for 6, 1 hr sessions… of playtime with a teenager. If those 30 days were truly free, I would not have continued to take him.
So if you really want your kid to join karate, don’t come here. Go to a real karate place with real professionals that won’t rape your wallet with sand paper.

Beware of these thieves’ shady business practices. They are real slick with their contract wording and sales pitch. I was made believe I was signing a one year contract to the gym, but then a month later they said the contract was only for the beginners classes and I would have to sign a new THREE year contract if I wanted to take the «advanced» classes.
When I called them out on their BS, they had the balls to get defensive and said I should be more careful about what I sign. My options were to either sign a new three year contract or stay in the beginners classes. The term «used car salesmen» comes to mind. I stopped going and contacted an attorney.

Might be a great gym — but lousy customer service. Pretty slick operators. If you are in fact looking for Miami Shooters Club — its located within. They do not disclose their rebooking fees and do not disclose that they are a business located within another business. Adrian was less than helpful and unfortunately is quite ignorant about good customer service. Again, the gym may be great. But this was my honest experience and I hope never to make the drive all the way down there for all the grief I suffered.

The gym is a great place to meet new people while getting in a great and different work out. It’s a total different work out than just lifting weights. I recommended it to people to try a class.

When I first stepped foot in FFA, I felt comfortable right away. the staff are all awesome people, it’s safe to say they are like family to me! Not only that, but the instructors are amazing in teaching. I’ve learned so much in such a short time! What I love most about FFA, is that they teach so many different techniques, from wrestling to kick boxing to conditioning to defend yourself form life threatening situations to even yoga, ect. How awesome can that get. Ohh can’t forget about the women only Bootcamp that’s right next door, so ladies you can carpool with your man and check up on him ;) lol this place has earned my five stars if I could’ve put ten I sure will with no doubts! Wait almost for got to say. Gyms hygiene is great always clean and never have I ever gotten a ringworm or anything gross! Good job on that staff! Thanks!

I’d recommend this gym to anyone of all ages and sizes. The staff is friendly, experienced and always willing to lend a hand to those starting out.

Words cannot describe how I feel about this place! I have been going to the bootcamp (which is all women) and I also take some classes at FFA for the last 5 years (had a baby in between) and my body has changed drastically. I went from wearing a size ¹⁶⁄₁₈ to a 10. On top of the amazing fat burning workouts you get, you also get to meet amazing people that inspire you to do your best everyday! They are always pushing you and whenever you need them they are always there. The coaches are amazing! Always thinking of ways to challenge us! If you’re looking for a place to get fit, maintain, lose weight or build muscle this is definitely the place to go to!

I have trained at ffa miami many times. The avellan brothers are experts in martial arts and gentlemen and I truly benefited from their training. I have been to many MMA gyms in my career and I feel bad when I see a beginner fed to the wolves. At ffa they have a beginner curriculum and they will guide you on how to learn how to defnd yourself systematically. If you decide you want to compete then you will find out that few gyns in florida have produced the results ffa has. The right place to train in Miami. highly recommended

The best MMA academy in south Florida! Change my life completely, not only that they train you physical, but they help you to become a better person, get you more motivate, improve strong mind, and is a very friendly environment, they make you feel like family :)

I’ve been training at FFA for 3 years now. I started training hear because I was looking for something more than just lifting weights in a work out. Since being here I’ve gotten into great shape, became well versed in Jiu-​Jitsu, wrestling, as kick boxing.
All the instructors are very nice and teach instruction very well so that it’s easy to understand (they don’t just show a move and hope you get it).
Since joining, I’ve gotten in to the best shape of my life and I’m having fun while doing it. FFA rocks!

Best Gym Ever, I started training at FFA for fitness purposes with no experience in Martial Arts, now I’m getting ready for my first Pro MMA fight finishing my MMA amateur record 5 – 0, I love how they offer different levels, definitely a beginner friendly school, I like how they focus on everything, the instructors are the best, I really enjoy their teaching techniques.
Something that I admire about this school is that the even my main reason for training NOW is to fight in the cage, they cover a lot of techniques for self defense and they keep me in the best shape I have ever been in. I spend a lot of time at the gym so you can call me a gym rat and I can honestly recommend Freestyle Fighting Academy for you, your child, for women for everybody. No matter what reasons you have to train… Even if you want to fight, get in shape, or learn self defense, give it a try. Oh and they have a 30 day trial and are open 24 hours.

I love this gym! The staff is always nice and very helpful, the instructors all know the techniques perfectly and are great at getting the intensity in classes high. Whether you’re coming here for self defense, competition or just to get in shape you’ll find what you’re looking for and more at FFA.

Great gym where kids, and adults of all ages can learn different fighting styles under the guidance of amazing instructors. Most of the instructors are current champions and train hard to win. You will love to train here and learn with the best!

FFA is an awesome gym to train at. I’ve been training at the gym for two weeks now and absolutely love it! The instructors are very well trained in all aspects of Martial Arts, we box, kick box, wrestle, and do jiu jitsu! I’m doing the 30 day free trial right now and they they treat you like a regular student. It’s not like they put free trial guys in a special class. Another thing to add to the gym is that it’s open 24 hours, I go in and train sometime at 11pm when I get off of work! I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a good work and learning self defense. go big or go home !!!

This is by far the best MMA gym in South Florida! I take their Krav Maga & Jiu Jitsu classes and have a lot of fun learning new techniques and training with the other students!

I attend the Women’s Only BootCamp and love every single sweat drenched moment!
I have been going attending the bootcamp for 2 months now and what a difference. I have lost 10lbs but so many inches. They are so nice and the workouts are always different and fun. Time flies.
Let me get to the details:
Classes: The bootcamp is only for women which was a major selling point for me. Each class is 1 hour long starting at 2 classes per week until they bump you to the third one which is always a kickboxing class. I think they have an unlimited membership but I have not inquired about that as of yet. Oh, but I will! They work you out inside and outside. You run, squat, lunge, lift weights and so on. Time flies and you drip sweat. You leave there leaving super pumped
Cost: I will not get into prices online since I am sure they offer different packages for everyone but I was skeptical about the cost considering they make you do a fitness assessment and such before discussing the cost but I was surprised when I finally learned it. It is doable and worth it.
Business: I personally know I need motivation to get my butt into gear as I have tried on my own and have failed. This place provides just that and a lot of support. They give you your own personalized booklet with a meal plan catered to you, your assessment results, your starting measurements and so on. This way you can see your progress.
I love the trainers! The gym itself is open 24 hours a day and also offers things such as mixed martial arts, karate, wrestling and so on. They are expanding which is much needed as classes are getting fuller every week.

This place is fantastic. I’ve never seen a MMA gym open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Marcos really knows how to get the most out of you during a workout. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. If I lived in the area, this would be my gym of choice.
