The Red M Studio

My session with Marianne was very personal to me. My grandmother passed away last year and among other things, she left me her collection of vintage hats. I’m not a big hat wearer, but I knew that I didn’t want them to just sit in a drawer untouched. I decided that I wanted to pick a couple of my favorites and do a glamorous photo shoot, not only to honor my grandmother, but to have nice pictures of me in the hats.
I contacted Marianne with my idea and she immediately went to work helping me plan it. She helped me pick out a location and from there I went ahead with planning which hats I would bring along with different outfits.
On the day of the shoot I was super excited. I had picked two of my favorites along with matching dresses. We did the shoot at Audubon Park and Marianne and her husband Steve were great in not only making me feel at ease, but at directing the shoot, telling me how to pose, and choosing the perfect spots for the pictures.
When I got the pictures back, I was so excited! They were exactly what I had hoped for and I even gave my dad a print of one, since it was his mother’s hats. He loved it. Marianne and Steve made the entire experience easy and wonderful and I would love to work with the both of them again.
