I am a Covington, LA photographer who captures intimate weddings and other events in a natural and classic style.

Family portraits are also a specialty. After getting to know you, we will choose a location where you are comfortable. We will relax, have fun and I will take the photographs along the way. I enjoy working with individuals and families of all types: kids, no kids, pets, no pets, a little more formal, a little less formal, in the office, away from the office. History

Established in 2010.

I founded business as a lifestyle family photographer. Within two years I started accepting commissions for weddings and other events. In 2013 I added commercial photography and head shots as specialties.

After a life long fascination with photography, I finally realized my dream in 2010 opening Shot by Joel Photography. This is my third career, having spent most of my working life in the hospitality industry.



I’m very curious and enjoy studying my craft. This process of continual improvement allows me to express myself more artistically as I document the milestones in my clients lives and help create lasting memories.
