The main reason I go here is because that’s where everyone seems to be, but that’s all. I’ve been here tons of times but only for my friends. Honestly the dj is okay at best, the space is awkwardly laid out and you couldn’t get the bartenders attention of you threw a tennis ball at them. Then by some miracle if you do get their attention don’t expect your cocktail to be made correctly.

Best spot to be in Merced, Ca. Not only do they have great specials and amazing food. they all the fun you could have at a Bar! Pool tables, Giant Jenga, shuffle board, karaōke, all kinds of music to chose from and Live Bands. Their staff is Entertaining, Bartenders are gorgeous and friendly. Awesome place to kick back watch a game or party with friends and family! I visit every time I’m in Merced!

Absolutely terrible. They denied me access because I was wearing a football jersey. It’s hard enough to find anyplace decent in this town without being treated like a criminal for what you’re wearing.

Crawling with police. If you like to be violated by the cops, go for it. If not? Stay away. $ 5 cover is absolutely ridiculous. Nice try at rebranding yourselves.

«I’ve been a bartender 10 years and I don’t know what you’re asking for». He was asking for an old fashioned. And the bartender had no idea. «A what mule? A Moscow what?» A Moscow Mule, was what I was asking for. Instead we just ordered beers and an over the top fruity concoction made my the bartender. Not bad but how do you not even know what an old fashioned is??? Besides the bartenders there’s a great karaōke machine. Also a pool table, darts and shuffle board. I wouldn’t go again for the drinks but is go again for the fun with friends.

4 stars cuz this is the only bar in Merced with music you can dance to and it has a dance floor although small, better than nothing at all. I’m surprised this place only has 9 reviews considering everyone & their moms come here lol yes it’s smelly, the floor is sticky, the guys are pervy and the girls are ratchet but hey it’s Merced! The drinks are cheap service is quite fast & music is good on most nights. They sometimes have a $ 5 cover but it’s usually during events such as Halloween & St. Patty’s. Oh I have to add they remodeled the women’s bathroom with a cool chalkboard wall. Also they have TVs now. New tables and seating

This is one of those bars where sometimes you might fear for your life. The drinks are really cheap here, but the place smells, and is also extremely shoddy. There’s always security in front that will do a pat-down on you, which makes me wonder, why do they need security to do a pat down?

O’Reilly’s formely Maloney’s I call this place Baloney’s ya digg… This place is a joke. Your better off turning up the beat at the house, have ya folks come thru with some drank and do the damn thang at the heezy. No joke this spot is a JOKE… Security think this is a V.I.P. club in Vegas. It does smell like piss inside. Music is a hit or miss. Bar service is slow. No A/C.

If you want to get creeped out or if you’re willing to throw a few elbows, this is defintely the spot for you. The crowd here really depends on the day and as long as you have a few friends with you, you’ll be fine. Drinks are decently priced and the bartenders are usually pretty quick. They have DJs on the weekends that play dance-able music and, let me tell you, watching the drunks dance around here is pretty damn entertaining. All things considering I guess it’s not too bad of a place since there really aren’t very many other bar options in Merced.

This place usually smells like piss but you stop wondering why when you actually take a closer look at the crowd. I usually come over here after drinking at the Partisan across the street cause their bar area is less packed. We kick it here cause they play better ass shaking music in this joint than the latter. The music isn’t GREAT but it gets the job done. Sometimes they play shit that makes you think twice about coming. The crowd is a mixture of drunk chicks grinding up on one another and dudes posted up around the dance floor watching. There is usually some drunk Asian dude that walks around the dance floor trying to dance up on girls all while looking straight faded. Just politely nod no and he usually leaves you alone after his third round around the floor. The dance floor is really small and it gets super sticky cause slores spill their drinks while dancing. It gets super hot in here but they’ve placed an industrial sized fan on the dance floor which helps a little. Don’t give anyone attitude cause you’ll probably get shanked. The drinks are fairly cheap here. I’ve heard that they sometimes have a cover charge so be aware of that. A friend once mentioned that they tried charging $ 10 for cover… if you run into that situation, turn around and go to the Partisan. A $ 10 cover in Merced is NOT worth it. All in all, come here if you wanna shake your ass. Oh, and I don’t recommend you wear anything too expensive cause it’ll most likely get messed up.

This place is horrible. I don’t care if this is in Merced, I am not going to give this the benefit of the doubt. The spacing and placement of tables and other fixtures is inefficient. The bartender’s are very difficult to get a hold of as they’re too busy searching for glasses that clean as they didn’t have enough glasses on several occasions. The drinks are bad not in the sense that they’re too strong but they use cheap juice in the mixed drinks. My girlfriend absolutely hated her mixed drink and said the pineapple juice had no taste and definitely was not fresh. Also, the kind of people that go to this place don’t seem to be the indviduals one would like to be around during this time of night; hence, the multiple police officers patrolling the small area of canal street.

Walking distance to other down town bars. Good place to go if your in town for the weekend! Got kicked by the bouncer a couple of years back for pushing two drunk guys that just about fell on top of me! Then when tried to explain what I did the bouncer didn’t want to hear it! They do pat down people when you walk in which makes it a little safer but there is usually a bunch of youngsters that hang out the outside of the bar so make sure you don’t walk to your car alone…

4 stars in MERCED rating. Hands down the best place to drink and go out if you don’t feel like leaving town. There is a DJ(although the music can *sometimes* make you give your friends a funny look), dance floor(area?), and lots of room. As long as you take care of your bartenders, as you should, you’ll have no problem getting a drink quickly as they usually have 2 – 3 bartenders working and they are very good at remembering your drinks when it comes time to reorder in a loud bar. One thing I like is they have an «empty runner» all the time… someone is always walking around picking up empty bottles and glasses. And finally… they took my advice and now allow hats, God bless.

Technically it’s called O’Reilly’s now. It’s an ok place in downtown Merced. Withing walking distance of the Partisan so it’s officially bar hoppable. DJs most weekends with Hip Hop music. The crowd varies greatly depending on the time and day of the week. Definitely more of a bar than a grill. One of the few places in Merced that will pat down it’s guests for weapons. Not sure if that’s supposed to make me feel safer since they only check the first time you walk in.
