I’ve not been to a sizzler in years and decided to take my daughter there as it was close to her home. With that said I was severely disappointed in both the food, state of the restaurant and the service. The floors were dirty and seemingly unswept in what seamed like days. The ribs that I had were satisfactory but slathered in BBQ sauce. The Lobster tail that my daughter had with her steak remained on her plate as it was rubbery and tasteless. Lastly, and I’m a big advocate of good service. It took nearly 10 minutes before our waitress even came to the table to say hello. Only after my empty drink glass sitting on the side of the table for approximately 10 minutes I walked up to the counter and got my own refill. The waitress was quite pleased with her self when she brought the little tray for her tip to be left in but did not ask if we needed anything. Even with this experience we sat at the table for about 20 – 30 minutes just catching up. It was then that I noticed that the waitress had not even come to take away our dirty plates and such. Trust me when I say that there were plenty of them to be in the way. All in all. Poor service, tasteless and just SO-SO food and an atmosphere that I never want to experience again.

Okay, I completely forgot about this place until I saw Anthony Bourdain’s little segment on Sizzler with David Cho in Los Angeles, proclaiming this is the«Asian» place to be– and I can definitely see why! It’s a funny setup to a buffet that promises a lot but only delivers the next day in the form that ends up in your plumbing system. I’ll admit it is a guilty pleasure eating the poorly prepared food that tastes incredible but has absolutely no substance at all in any way. I can’t complain other than the food was definitely nothing I can’t find in the TV dinner aisle at my local Wal-Mart, the price isn’t horrible and is quite affordable and you can tell some people really enjoy the free refills and the unlimited aspects of the portions at the cost of their own well-being which made me feel quite depressed here. Not sure what else to say.

If I could give 0, I would! I had surgery and had 96%of my stomach removed. I can only eat 1 cup of food maximum! I even have a card to prove it. The manager said they would not allow me to order a child’s salad bar but would give me a ‘coupon’ price. $ 10 damn dollars for 1 cup of food! Never coming back here. Not to mention the freaking flies. I took a picture of my $ 10 ‘salad’. «EDIT» for those rude people, I have the right to go out with my family. If they chose a restaurant or buffet I shouldn’t have to sit in the car for choosing to better my health. I shouldn’t be ripped off either. Until you have a family member going through it, keep your rudeness in check. I am open to opinion, not rude stupidity.

Took my wife there for the steak and lobster, We were both shocked when the waitress made us cut our steak to make sure that its to our liking, We thought that was so incredibly rude, I’ll cut my steak when I want to cut it thank very much!, The lobster tail was the size of baby lobster, Horrible experience„ Seems like alot of the things are pre made, I do like their shrimp, But they really need to re think about how rude that is to make a paying customer cut their steak.

I decided to take my mom and dad for their anniversary here. We were greeted at the register by a very friendly lady and the order was a very smooth experience. When I went to the mens restroom I was very surprised to see that there was so much napkins on the floor. The restroom looked liked it had not been checked regularly making sure the restroom is stocked and inviting for the guests clearly that was not done. Upon leaving the restroom I was ready to chow down on the wonderful Salad Bar the setup was great and very pleasing to the eye. I served myself some Broccoli Cheese, got some chicken wings and some chicken salad for round 1. As I started to eat I noticed the soup was not at all hot it was barely luke warm and the fried chicken wings were really old you can tell they been there for hours and no one seemed to replace them. As a manager these are core things you need to check in you restaurant the temperature of the food and rotation of product. It shows no periodic checks are being done to monitor this. What really set me over the edge was the attitude of the general manager that evening. I noticed his employees even if it was not busy some of them leaning on the counter talking to other employees while a few were actually doing their work. Couldn’t the manager send someone to check the restrooms, do some table touches, look to see if some of the food items have been out long than their normal time obviously none of this was done. Now perhaps this service was done because the restaurant was going to close in an hour and a half however promoting your brand to excellence should be done from opening the doors till closing and clearly I had to find this out on my parents anniversary dinner.

We came at 3:30pm on a thurs. Today. People were inside but the place was locked up. would not let anyone inside. We walked around the whole building and nothing. Doors stayed locked. Hours said they were open at 11am. Another couple, older went to the doors, knocked, and no one came to open it. They said if the place doesn’t want their business, they won’t get it. Guess I’m going with the same sentiment. Just an fyi, your doors were locked in the middle of the afternoon. Edited to say we called the restaurant as well with no answer.

I hadn’t been to my local sizzler in over a year but their recent advertisements for the grilled tri tip and shrimp skewers, with grilled zuccini, and corn reeled me in. Unfortunately I was disappointed that they served me charred /really burnt zuccini. One side was cooked decent but they put the black side down and I did not notice until I started chewing what tasted like a ball of smoke, how could they even serve this? My tri tip was cold and the rest barely warm. The waitress was nice and friendly, did a good job and brought us perfectly cooked zuccini after I asked. Overall I was really disappointed in the food and it was not worth a $ 50 tab :(:(

Haven’t been to Sizzler for years; all the ones near me closed. I walked in and was herded along the wall with menu posters to the cashier – not what I remember, but like Panera Bread. They gave us our drinks and silverware on a tray and told us to seat ourselves. Despite the updates, I missed the food and was eager to try it again. I got the New York strip steak, medium; with broccoli; a house salad, no croutons; and a mudslide. The salads came a few minutes later, mine with croutons that I had to send back. The onions made my eyes water, and the salad was average. The steak came out soon after and was pretty rare for me and even rarer for my mom, who also ordered medium. The waitress took it back; they came back medium-rare. Hungry, we ate them anyway. Good flavor. The broccoli was not even al dente, but just warm. Atmosphere is nice; salad bar looks clean and booths are comfy and keep the high-end restaurant feel.

Very disappointed. I’ve been here several times and thought it was decent for a Sizzler. Last night makes me not want to come back. Ever. Not even for the salad bar. What’s up with the Malibu Chicken? It used to be plump and flavorful and what I saw on the plate was pancake thin and completely dry. I asked for steak fries and got regular. The salad bar has a few new salad items like Superfood Salad and some sort of kale mix. Was not good whatsoever. Waitress got a $ 2 tip for a $ 51.00 tab(Two dinners with salad bar and 2 sodas. Damn! We had prime rib, a 1lb New York with soup, salad and wine for only $ 5 more at Coolhand Luke’s. Sizzler is nowhere close to the quality for this price.) Waitress brought the food, never checked back on us and she needed to be waved down for a drink refill. She never showed back up and the manager had to bring us our drinks). She showed back up to bring the leftover box. That’s it… two visits to us during the meal so she got $ 1 a visit. Dessert bar? Horrid! Choc/Vanilla Twist ice cream was out so put a squirt of chocolate in the bowl and was going to top off with a little vanilla. Pure LIQUID came shooting out. There was crumbs, sprinkles and syrup glop all over the countertop. Two male workers were sagging their uniform pants. If they didn’t have their shirts tucked in the back, underwear or ass crack would have been on display. Yuck. I’m staying away. There’s better choices elsewhere for dinner.

This is the worst steak I have ever eaten. The fries were cold and the piece of steak(if thats what they call it) was crap. The Malibu chicken was a piece of battered frozen chicken patty. I really dont see how this place stays in business. They even ran out of coffee. How do you run out of coffee? Even the smallest of eating establishments have two pots for that reason. I will never eat at another Sizzlers as long as I live. The manager listened to my complaint and didnt offer any satisfaction at all. I really dont like to complain because it is so negative. This is the first ever complaint I have made but I feel if I can save anyone $ 70 bucks then it is worth it.

The four stars takes into consideration that this is a Sizzler, and a family restaurant. The night we were there, it was busy, but the place was clean, and the staff friendly, and the service was very good. Even the younger guests seemed well behaved! I hadn’t been to a Sizzler in years, and was surprised to find the variety and prices good, and the food above average. My steak was cooked perfectly, and had more flavor than many I’ve had from far more expensive steak house restaurants.

We won’t be back. While all the staff was very pleasant and worked very hard; our server had sooo many tables to serve and wait on that it took forever to get another plate or soup bowl or beverage when needed one. The salad bar, well. .. I put mixed greens on my plate and noticed some was spoiled; when I moved it on my plate, black liquid was there. Not a very good start to our Sizzler experience. I had to wait for a long time for a new plate. Other salads were OK. Quite a time later I did notice they put fresh greens out — and as when they restock any of the items, what was left in the previous container gets put onto the top of the new food. It just seems pricey for what you get — and sometimes we don’t want to eat big; it would be nice if they would have a one-trip thru option.

The salad bar is great, the salmon stuffed with crab is no longer available. Bummer. I wish they had a one trip salad bar for a tad less than the whopping $ 11. Yikes. So, I tried the plank salmon tonight. Every time I write anything even slightly negative I think abut the guy who wrote me and asked why I bother to go out? Well, because we are hungry, we rate restaurants and like to find good places, which we do. Then he asked me why I didn’t give the places a chance to fix the meal. D.B., this review is for you. If I return the salmon because it is full of fat and slimy and under cooked, and I wait for twenty minutes for the replacement salmon and now my husband is done eating, the waitress brings me the new salmon and says to check it to see if it is alright, DONOTASSUME it was cooked right the second time. COMEBACK to find out the second salmon is even worse, and much thinner and smaller a portion that the first for $ 14. I don’t think so. Salmon should be moist and flaky, not runny and slimy. I did not even take it home for the cats. I tried to give them a fourteenth try and they failed. Again. Back to the salad bar for me.

I think everyone who reviews Sizzler’s always says that it’s one of the better Sizzler’s around. Granted, most of the Sizzler’s that have survived through to these times is probably«one of the better one’s», but having tried several branches around the bay area, I think both the hot food bar and the salad bar are above average. Came on a Sunday night for dinner, three of us ordered entrees and added the endless soup/salad bar, probably spending in the low teens each. We each filled a modest plate of hot food consisting of fried chicken(yum), potato wedges, and nachos/soft tacos/hard tacos with plentiful toppings that include salsa and guacamole. Meats included the typical grilled chicken, ground beef, and even had carnitas! Soup was hearty, and better selection than just ministrone and chicken noodle. We pretty much finished our hot food before the entrees were brought out, so we just decided to save it to take home for leftover lunch =) Salad was fresh, not wilted. We were so full by the time we went for the fresh greens though, but wanted to get it in our bellies to balance out the fried chicken and tacos =P Definitely check out if you’re in the area!
