Just had a great lunch with my wife. The portions were great. The food was cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the desert. We ordered the mouse and it was more like cold frosting.

Nice market when you go in. The Café looks a bit tired and dated. Needs to be spruced up a bit. Coffee quality is not good. Table placemats are out of date and they could come up with something better, it would look better with nothing. We had the Fritatta and quiche. Everything was fresh and hot. Spinach salad was very good on the side. Fritatta has artichokes that are from a can in them and tasted a bit sour for the dish is the only feedback. Service was good.

Suggested by a local, we wished we hadn’t saved this place to try the last day of our stay. Food and service can’t be beat! The crème brûlée French toast was the best sweet breakfast I’ve ever indulged in. It was amazing.

The Grapevine Café is nestled inside the Green Turtle Gourmet Market — what a find. The café is located directly to your left as you enter the market. The market itself has a selection of about 10 items they’ll prepare for you, and they have some chairs and tables to eat at as well. But if you’re looking for a special lunch — the Grapevine Café is where you want to go. As part of celebrating our anniversary, I suggested the market to my wife, and once inside we saw they had a café. We ended up there instead. We were so glad we did. The service was friendly and chatty(I really do like gabbing it up with a waiter or waitress — it just adds the experience.) The menu was superb, but we ended up eating burgers of all things — she had the Luau and I had the Southwest burger — they were perfect. For dessert she had the«Chocolate Decadence» while I had the Peanut Butter Cake — all I can say is «Wow!» The cake was moist and light and their peanut butter«icing» was delicious. (Add to all this, the staff at the Green Turtle was friendly and attentive — and they were trying to get us to eat more as we strolled around the market. This is truly a special place.) If you have a special occasion to celebrate during the daytime hours — head to the Grapevine Café — you won’t be disappointed. We are already planning on going back, but next time will try what the market has to offer.

Grapevine Café — Gourmet Food Tucked Inside a Gourmet Market On a recent Saturday afternoon, my group of eight women dined at the Grapevine Café. Most of us have dined here several times before this visit and always enjoyed the food and service received. This experience was no exception. The Grapevine Café is located inside the Green Turtle, a beautiful gourmet market located on E. Eau Gallie Blvd. in Indian Harbour Beach, FL. The market is currently undergoing renovations to increase retail space for produce, wine and indoor deli seating so it looked less nice than it usually does. Although tempted by the samples offered inside, we went directly to the Café so we would not spoil our appetites. It was smart that we had made a reservation the day before because the café was packed. We arrived at 12:30 and the hostess seated us immediately. Our tables were at the rear of the cozy café right alongside the door to the kitchen but it was not really much noisier than elsewhere. Since the café was full, it was noisy but we did not mind as we probably contributed to much of the noise ourselves. Our server, Jack, brought us menus to peruse and took our beverage orders. As I glanced around the café, I noticed how lovely the décor was. Creative little touches on the walls contributed to the charming atmosphere. Once inside, you forget that just outside the doors is a bustling market. Since I have dined here several times before, I wanted to order something not on the regular menu. Two of us ordered the Plate du Jour — a special —(sliced) Turkey Club buttered and toasted on thin bread with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese and Onion, $ 10.99. I changed my side to Cranberry Wild Rice. Most sandwiches arrive with Potato Salad and a sliced pickle. Try as we did, both of us were unable to finish our delicious sandwiches. Anther diner enjoyed the Maple Glazed Seared Salmon — maple marinated Atlantic Salmon served with Pineapple-Mango Chutney with Cranberry Wild Rice on the side, $ 11.49. Another in our party loved her Pan Seared Crab Cakes — two Backfin & Claw Crabmeat Cakes pan seared to a golden brown and served with stone-ground mustard on a bed of mixed greens with Cranberry Wild Rice on the side, $ 11.99. Still another ordered the Grilled Pork Tenderloin — thinly sliced Pork Tenderloin with Apple-Cranberry Compote, grilled Asparagus and Cranberry Wild Rice on the side, $ 9.99. She loved her dish and orders it here regularly. Our diner who ordered the Salad Trio — Asian Chicken, Albacore Tuna, & dill shrimp salads served with fresh tropical fruit on a bed of romaine, $ 10.99 liked her meal, too. Our next to last diner had the Quiche Du Jour — served with petite spinach & apple salad, $ 9.99. She really enjoyed her meal, also. The most visually appealing of all our dishes, however, was Crabmeat & Shrimp Timbale — handpicked Crabmeat & Shrimp Salad molded in a timbale with sliced Avocado, roasted Red Peppers & diced Mango served on a bed of Mesclun Lettuce with lemon-Dijon vinaigrette. On top of the salad was a butterflied Jumbo Shrimp. It looked so fresh and visually appealing. Overall, we had a wonderful lunch. With the odd arrangement of our tables, though, it was difficult to talk to everyone in our group. Our server did mix up one diner’s order but apologized sincerely and quickly corrected the problem. We all thought that we received very attentive service especially considering that it was a busy Saturday for the café. We thought that prices were quite fair for the quality and freshness of food received. Not only did our meals taste delicious, but also the chefs took care with artistic presentation. As we departed the café, the servers all wished us an enjoyable afternoon. Staff is very friendly here. We plan on returning. After finishing our meal, we all went shopping at the market. I took home four or five food items, as did several others in my group. The bakery items were equally tempting. Do not forget to taste a cup of the complementary beer on tap before leaving the market.

This is a 50 seat lunchtime restaurant attached to the Green Turtle Deli. Each time we’ve been there there has been a good crowd, indicating that we’re not the only ones that like it. Their food is always fresh and tasteful. Last time I had a shrimp wrap with a rather spicy sauce. Before that a grilled Portobello sandswch. Both delicious. Staff is very friendly.
