I can always get an appointment. It’s quick. Kind of painful for me (I’m a lightweight) but it’s worth it. I’m black and have thick kinky hair and the laser hair removal works wonders! Hair is growing in finer each time and not nearly as much. I’ve been coming for over a year and don’t plan on stopping any time soon. Will eventually do my entire body. It’s great!

Over the past 2 years, I have received laser hair removal in the bikini and under arm areas, through a Group On and have been extremely satisfied with the results. It’s not an overnight fix and everyone should understand it’s not permanent but gets you pretty close, which, the owner explains at your first consultation. At no time have I ever felt pressured to buy additional services which speaks to the professionalism of the staff. The owner, Vahideh, is very knowledgable and also flexible and tries to work with your schedule and budget.
All the technicians I’ve had provided the service in a professional manner and are always friendly. The free parking is also a nice perk! I wouldn’t go to another place and I highly recommend McLean Laser Center. They have made me more self confident and saved money on razors :)

I started coming here for laser hair removal. I recently completed my 4^th session and results are amazing so far! Price is reasonable, found a groupon and it ended up being a nice experience (first time user of a groupon). Parking is free, lots of appointments with flexibility, even available weekends!
My tech is Penny, she is awesome! Gives me breaks in between since i am a bit sensitive, it is not painful, more like uncomfortable.
Downside– no numbing gel.

Started coming here for laser hair removal under my chin back in March. I just finished my sixth treatment and I’m completely hair free! Pricing is reseasonable, parking is free (across the street) and appointments are easy to make. The laser treatments are super fast and painless, I wish I had done this years ago. Probably going back for other services.

I I came in about last year to start laser hair removal treatments on my face (sideburns and cheeks). I’m middle eastern and wanted to get rid of that shadow because which girl wants facial hair. So I found a groupon for about $ 350 for about 6 sessions. I decided to do it because I’m a college student and it sounded like not too bad of a deal. I went in and Vavineh did my first laser treatment. The next sessions I went in, different techs (one which JUST started training tried on my face) would do the laser. The second and third session they went under my chin, an area I did NOT pay for. She was like, oh you have some baby hair and laser gets rid of this. After my 5^th session, I noticed the baby hair I had had turned into long black strands that were obvious. I was so mad because I barely had anything down there and now there was long dark hairs under my chin. I told the owner and she said no no, those are your hormones changing and your body is developing excess hair. After I explained to her that no, don’t blame it on me and «my hormones» (I’m not 16, I’m 21 and on birth control for the last 5 years-​which REGULATES all hormones). She said well, you should’ve stopped the technician… which made me furious because you don’t blame the customer. They should know what they’re doing and I’m under pain during the laser session so its hard to notice.
Long story short, I got talked into buying another 6 sessions (total of 12). What bothered me is that she kept assuring me saying that some customers are even on their 18^th and so on session… which I find ridiculous. Also, after my laser sessions, my face would look clean and hairless until the third week (which is when I would go back in). don’t get fooled people. I decided that after the 12^th session to not do it anymore. After that, a month later, my face had a TREMENDOUS change. I looked like a man. My sideburns were never that coarse and black. I had a shadow going on as if I shaved my face. Not only that, but I now had chin hairs because of the 2 – 3 times they accidently went under my chin. I advise you to DO NOT buy laser hair from this place, ESPECIALLY IF YOURE MIDDLE EASTERN. My skin is pretty fair and I didn’t have much to begin with… now its something else-​I couldn’t even go in public. I immediately called her and she blamed me for it, unprofessional. I’m sooo done with this place. Go to mclean dermatology, its just 2 miles away. It’s professional, clean, and she has sooo many good reviews. After they looked at my face and I explained it to them, they told me that 12 is way too much and that I only need 6. And the effect it had on me is laser paradox (its too light of a laser and does the opposite) The laser machine at mclean dermatology (go to dr lily. she is AMAZING and ranked one of the best in mclean) first measures the pigment of your skin and based off that, it determines how strong to do the laser. Also this place has REAL CERTIFIED DOCTORS, no phony technicians. There’s also a living social deal going on for about $ 120 for 3 sessions. I’ve been going there now to undo the mess I’ve gotten here (which she never came clean about and hung up the phone on me when I demanded my money back). Please go to mclean dermatology, they are so friendly and won’t rip you off. It’s a little pricey but trust me, your skin is worth it. Don’t pay for trash. I love this place! I have been coming since October for monthly microdermabrasions and collagen facials. I have noticed a marked difference in my dry skin becoming more glowing and vivacious. I highly recommend Farzi for these sessions. I originally came here because I had a Groupon but it has converted me into a regular customer. I appreciate how they still give me the Groupon price. The facilities are clean and everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend Mclean Laser Center!

I’ve had two microdermabrasions/​facials with Farzaneh and it has been absolutely amazing. She is professional and makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. I have referred Farzaneh to several people already and I am going back for another microdermabrasion and the collagen treatment. Her pricing is also very competitive.

Bad bad experience– I brought a groupon for microdermabrasion and one G. Collin spa facial but I did not get what I paid for. Ridiculous experience with Farsi. here’s what had happened, first; she removed my make up and putt dried my face and used the microdermabrasion machine for one stroke not even entirely on my face, as I close my eyes there pondering and hoping it will go better but it was worst. She pretended massaging my hair and rubbed my shoulders instead of masaging it. Then she put the mask and came back for a few minutes and wiped it off — not even sure if it was clean actually. While she was doing that I asked because I had the feeling that was it. And she said No so I took a deep breath thinking Good! because seriously I was expecting her to spend more time on the microdermabrasion or masaging but honestly that was really it. She put the cream on and said I’m was done. As I was putting my clothes on she went out and talked to the front lady, that’s probably the owner. I went outside and tried to talk to the owner my she’s defending her staff. Did not even dare to care that I was unhappy and unsatisfied with their service. Very pooooor customer service. I was thinking to do the skin tightening but not anymore.

I bought 2 Groupon vouchers for laser hair removal. Underarms and bikini line. It was my first time doing laser, and I was more than happy with the results. Farah was really friendly and helpful. I am thinking of going there to do Brazilian laser removal. The place is professional and clean and I would recommend to a friend.

I am writing this as an update to my first 5 star review. I had laser vein removal twice on my legs (Jan 2014 and then again July 2014). After both procedures I can definitely see now that my veins are actually worse and more noticeable than before. The laser tech told me at my initial visit that I probably wouldn’t need another treatment because I seemed to respond well, and my veins were few and small.
After the 3 month period passed since the first visit, my veins showed no improvement and actually looked a little worse. I called the center and they offered me another treatment at the Groupon price and said sometimes it takes more than one session, and they can look worse before they get better. So I went in for another treatment in July.
Now they are even worse, and it looks like I have bruises around the veins, but the «bruises» have been there for months. Upon closer inspection it actually looks like more spider veins have collected in the area around the first one, giving me permanent purple and blue marks on my legs. After some more research and a consult for sclerotherapy at a medical doctor’s office, I have found that laser vein removal is not ideal for use on the legs. It is more effective on areas like the face where the skin is thinner. The laser simply cannot penetrate leg skin enough to produce results.
I feel like this is something the laser center should have been aware of and warned me about. They are using a procedure on an area of the body where medical research states it is just not useful or effective.
In response to the comment from Vahideh ⁹⁄₂₉: I absolutely mentioned the veins were worse, both on the phone when I made the second appointment, and to the vein technician in person during my appointment, which was not you, so you were not a part of that conversation. Also, I am fully aware of the informed consent and the risks involved. I am also aware of the false prognosis that was verbalized to me, and this is why I am unhappy.

I found this place through Groupon and chose it because it had the best reviews out of all the options. After finishing 9 sessions for my underarms, I am extremely pleased with both the results, and the service I received. I found the entire staff incredibly helpful, and never had a problem booking appointments at a time that was convenient for me. I will definitely return here for future laser treatments!

The experience itself was fine, but the hair has come back nearly to it’s original density (9 treatments on my underarms, 5 on my bikini line). I’m a fair-​skinned brunette, so I feel like I wasted my money.

So my husband purchased a Groupon package of laser hair removal for me for Christmas, and I think I’ve coming here for about 4.5 months now. And although I’ve never had any type of laser hair removal before, and I didn’t really have any other experiences to compare it to, I’d say I’m pretty happy with my my results so far. Between each treatment, the hair has grown in less and less, it comes back thinner and it takes longer and longer to grow back. The procedure itself is pretty painless, and you’re in-​and-​out in pretty quickly. The staff has always been friendly and answered all of the questions I had. Do they talk to you about purchasing additional services… Yes, but what business doesn’t? McDonalds asks you if you’d like to «Super Size» your meal! It goes with the territory of business. It’s how businesses stay in business and I definitely don’t mind continuing to patronize a business that has provided me with a service that I’ve been fully pleased with. On top of that, I’ve never found them to be pushy about talking to me about additional services. And they’ve been super flexible about scheduling, so it’s always been super convenient for me to fit into my schedule, despite them being a little further from me than some of the other places. All-​in-​all, McLean Laser Center is a great spot if you’re looking for quality laser hair removal in the DC/​MD/​VA area!

I’m extremely satisfied with my treatment. I’ve done laser hair removal before but I never experienced results as fast as with the treatments for here. By the third session there was pretty much nothing left — and there was lots before. Ava was the person that I saw and I loved her — attentive, sweet, and fast. I highly recommend this place and I’ll be coming here for my annual touch ups.

I’ve been coming here for almost a year for hair removal services. I’ve had almost all the technicians (including the owner) and they’re all professional and know what they’re doing. I’ve also tried both machines (the gliding one with gel and the one with laser shooting out) and both are on the painless side.
The owner will explain to you if you’ll be a good candidate to the treatment and depends on your natural skin color and hair color, she will set the right expectation for you.
I’ve seen that there are new groupons or deals coming out for other new places in the area. But I chose to stay with this place because they have proven to me that they use high quality equipments (I see great results) and they care about their clients.

I originally purchased a groupon in 2012 and haven’t stopped coming back! I love it here! Five Stars because the staff pushes it to the top. They are so nice and accommodating. I have NEVER had any issues with any service I have received.
I have had hair removed from bikini and underarms and recently started my legs. Though the building is on the older side, the office is clean and the machines are newer using updated technology.
I knew going into this that hair removal was a process, but it is the most liberating and freeing feeling! I know that I don’t have to shave or wax again! There prices are competitive and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone wanting a GREAT laser experience!

If you want more hair on your skin by paying over $ 1000, this is the place.
I decided to do my laser hair removal for my legs and arms from this place since the location is near my home and seemed like its clean.
The owner’s confident comment about her place was that she uses the most updated and excellent painless machine in northern Virginia area. I guess her machine helps skin to grow thicker and more hair than before. If knew this was going to happen I will never ever pay over $ 1000. It’s extremely upsetting me and hope the owner won’t rip off from any other clients besides me, because that will only help her to shut her business down. After I completed my sessions, everybody noticed that I gained more hair than before I started getting my treatments. I complained to the owner and ask why this was happening. She said it is because I didn’t take care of my skin well. I mean what is there to take care? Should I go get extra laser treatments after McLean Laser Center’s place? Also, she suggested that I should purchase more treatments and try four more times. After I heard that from her, I figured that the owner is just dishonest person who just look for chances to rip off from her clients who don’t know much about laser treatments.

This place is really excellent — professional, clean, affordable, and friendly. I was very pleased with the services and would recommend this to a friend. Appointments are easy to book, and more importantly, there was no wait time!
4 stars versus 5 because the parking is inconvenient — you have to park across the street and cross 4 lanes of traffic, since every spot in front of the building is specifically reserved for other businesses inside. Also, the inside of the building itself is kind of run down and dated and provides an initial unsettling impression. But McLean Laser’s space is new, bright, and welcoming. Overall, this place is one of the best!

Not sure why so many good reviews were filtered out, because they would average the ratings of this spa more accurately.
It is reasonably priced here, and the owner is very knowledgeable about laser effectiveness and safety techniques. I didn’t feel the pressure to buy anything — I think she just informed of what was available and/​or of what may be needed to get desired results (which is to no longer shave, generally).
Hair removal is a PROCESS, and must be done on schedule and as needed to get best possible results. I think she may have just be trying to explain that. I can see some cultural influences in her expressions, which may be misunderstood by some.
The laser tip was wiped w/​tissue during procedure to keep lint, hair, cryogenic frost, etc. from accumulating on it to avoid damage to both laser lens and client’s skin. This is NOT a sterilizing effort.
Definitely recommend, as safety is number 1 here, unlike at many places (even @ doctor’s offices, which have been known to burn their patients!).
(NOTE: You do have to park across the street, which is fine by me. My review is for the service and pricing, and spa is simple and clean so nothing to take away.)
