We had our kitchen backsplash, a custom area rug, and entire shower renovation done by builders carpet. Everything turned out beautifully. Salesman did a great shop showing us products and offering ideas for each area. Installation went smooth. We think overall the quality of the products and workmanship are great!

Agree with the negative reviewers. I do not know how he still carries on his business. We got floors done from them and after $ 10,000 they look like a disaster. We have a family business as well and always stand by our products and installations. We do everything in our capacity to make our customers recommend us. This business is doing everything in their capacity to shoo away customers. I know I will never give them any business but will fight to my nose to get my floors taken care of. I do not think they realize how social media affects a business. I am still hoping I get the floor I paid for. We shall see.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever had. They installed my hard wood floors and left holes in the flooring which they never repaired. I had to hire an electrician to do it myself and the only time I heard from the owners son who was extremely rude was for the remaining payment. When asked to speak to someone above him I was told there was no one and very rudely disregarded. I would never do business with them again. Beware of this company. Their employees do not return phone calls, nor do they do good work.

It is unfortunate that the satisfied customers do not write reviews. These guys do my work as a home builder and they are fantastic! I cannot disagree more with the negative comments. Oh well, I guess everyone is allowed to have their opinion. Here is mine…

Don’t know how these guys remain in business when they treat their customers like crap. When trying to get my floor repaired on a warranty request, I was belittled and cursed at when making a request. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I’ve done business with Builders Carpet for 25 years. They’re personable, caring and do a great job. I’d highly recommend Builders Carpet for all your wood and carpet needs. I know they also install tile. I’m not familiar though with their tile work. Same family though and I’d expect great tile results too!

Owner sets the tone for how business operateds this person Monty is one you should never do business with cost me time in small claims court because installer walked out, later found that owners tempberment matchs his associates no wonder its still in business guess its because they deal with mostly other corporations or business not joe publin, plent of other great companys in Mckinney stick with them buyer beware

STAY AWAY. These people are crooks. Had a major home renovation done in Jan. 2013. They use plumbers who are not licensed. Found out that the plumbing work done was not up to code. Had to have the painting re-​done as the painters left holes in the wall, did not even use drop cloths to cover furniture etc. Since then have talked to others who said this company had a horrible reputation. Sales associate I worked with was VERY pushy. Please do not use this place. Terrible service, workers and below average quality of work performed.
