Sudbury Seamless Gutters

I called for an estimate in November of last year to install a gutter on one side of our garage, and also to move some gutter guards from the back gutter of our house (second story) to the front (first story).
They were prompt and left an estimate in my mailbox within a week. But after that their response was horrible.
I called and left a message that I accept their proposal. But I wanted to make sure they got my message. I called a couple of times during business hours and it went into voicemail. I left a message for someone to get back to me to confirm. Nobody did. I finally got a live person. She confirmed they got my message and that I’m on the schedule. She said their jobs are about a month out and someone will call me a week before they do the work.
A month later after not hearing anything, I called to make sure they weren’t going to come the same day another company was fixing our roof because it was the same space. Again it went into voicemail during business hours. I tried a few more times; same thing. Their voicemail message mentioned an email address, so I sent an email message. No response.
It’s now five months later. They never came to do the work and never responded to any of my messages. Fortunately I hadn’t paid them anything (the proposal said to pay when work was completed).
If for some reason they never got my original message that I accepted their proposal, I can understand them never coming. But their office assistant confirmed I was on the schedule. It’s so odd that they just never showed.
I guess I’ll make the same assumption as a previous reviewer: if your job isn’t big enough, they just drop you.

Have called & emailed this company a few times to setup an appointment for an estimate and no one has responded. I saw a previous review as well that said the response from this company was awful. Wouldn’t recommend this company.

Sudbury Seamless installed our gutters, and we’ve been very pleased with the product. Their installers did an efficient, professional job. And that’s where it ended. Despite the fact that I booked them to clean the gutters on two separate occasions — first in August, and then again a couple months ago — there is absolutely no follow-​up on their part. Each time, I’ve gotten quotes for the cost and promises that they’ll do the job when they’re in the area. I just gave up in August but I really needed the work done by the fall. I have made repeated calls to them, and early on received assurances that we weren’t’ forgotten. My e-​mail attempts yield nothing; there’s apparently a glitch on their website and the e-​mails don’t go through. I’m pretty loyal to local contractors and businesses and prefer to stick with companies that do good work. But when they drop you like a hot potato because the job isn’t big enough — my assumption — it forces me to look elsewhere. I have recommended this company in the past, but I will not be doing so again.

It takes a lot to get someone to write a review of a gutter company, right? Well, in this case the company deserves a really positive Unilocal.I’ve used Sudbury Seamless Gutters at two of my own properties, and both times I’ve been incredibly impressed at how much the owner (Joseph) cares about the quality of the job they do.
On my last house I had a major water management problem — and had to use a sump pump. I finally called in this company to see if the gutters could be improved upon. I had gutters in place — why weren’t they working? Joe and his crew came in and repitched them all so they actually WORKED. Two things — the next pouring rain day, I saw Joe in a yellow slicker in my front yard. He had come to check up on how they were working. Impressive, right? Oh, and I lived there another three years and my sump pump was never needed again. I call that a gutter win.
They just finished work at our new place yesterday. They work fast and neat and the job is beautiful. I needed some new gutters, repitching, and drip edge installed in areas because rain off the roof was not making it into the gutters but was instead running down between the soffit and gutters. It POURED this morning — buckets. And the gutters performed perfectly (this time it was me out in the pouring rain in a yellow slicker!).
I’m a real estate broker so I know properly installed gutters can be a blessing or a curse. I also see that often people think this is something anyone can install. But it takes someone who really knows water management to get it right.
I think they are a family-​owned business — all my interactions with people from the office to the field have been great.
PS — our dog’s favorite toy had been stuck on a flat roof for months. Without even asking us, they retrieved the toy for her — even though it actually wasn’t an area of roof they really had to go up on. Sweet, right?
