Dr. Khurana is part of the talented DISC medical team which specializes in spine, orthopedics, and sports medicine and embraces the philosophy of optimal rehabilitative care. Patients are treated in the DISC surgical center, a technologically innovative facility where surgeons perform the most advanced minimally invasive outpatient procedures in spinal surgery, arthroscopic and endoscopic protocols. As part of a full-service orthopedic medical facility, Dr. Khurana has access to innovative diagnostic, rehabilitative and performance management resources for his patients as well as alternative practices including chiropractic, spine rehabilitation, acupuncture, nutrition services and eastern medicine. In one facility, Dr. Khurana provides total care starting with diagnostic to treatment and recovery.

Dr. Sanjay Khurana is a board certified adult and pediatric orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spine care. He received his medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine where he also served his residency. Dr. Khurana is known for his expertise in spinal reconstruction, cervical spine surgery, adult and pediatric scoliosis, spine trauma and tumors, and minimally invasive microsurgery. He performs lumbar fusions using the XLIF (eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion) procedure, an innovate outpatient treatment for which he is well known. Dr. Khurana has been recognized for his outstanding achievements in spine research including the Orthopedic Hospital Research Award in 2000 from the California Orthopedic Association and the Volvo Corporation Award for the Clinical Study of Low Back Pain in 1999.
