Business Owner

Jeremy E. Korman, MD, FACS, is a board-​certified general surgeon who specializes in bariatric procedures for weight loss. Dr. Korman offers a variety of weight loss services to patients in Marina del Rey and throughout the West Los Angeles area. At Marina Weight Loss, Dr. Korman provides treatment options such as gastric sleeves and bypass, pouch revision surgery, and smart lipo. He can also assist patients with constructing a medically supervised diet.

Dr. Korman obtained his Undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Cornell University and his Medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine located in New York. His General Surgery Residency was completed at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and was fellowship-​trained in Laparoscopic General Surgery at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery. Currently, Dr. Korman acts as the Medical Director of the Bariatric Program at Marina Del Rey Hospital which serves the Los Angeles area.

I’m a patient of Dr. Korman. he is wonderful doctor he saved my life. and he really true fully cares about his patients. I always tell him. you’re my heavenly angel. if it wasn’t for you I would have been 6 feet under. Dr. Korman and his office is the best place I ever went to that really cares about people health. and if I had to go through it all over again. I would do it again for the second time only if I had Dr. Korman to do it. he’s the best.

Dr. Korman is an amazing surgeon who not only has great bedside manner but also cares deeply about his patients and their success. Dr. Korman gets just as excited about your journey as you do and is there all along the way. If you’re contemplating meeting with him or having him do your WLS — you really need to meet with him and ask to talk with some of his patients. You will find that Dr. Korman and his staff truly are exceptional and become part of their community — they not only provide you with support, they also provide opportunities to meet and get to know one another — building a community. I never once felt like I was just another patient — I received nothing less than the most excellent care, support, and genuinely cared about by Dr. Korman and his staff.

Dr Korman and his staff at LA Bariatrics have been exceptionally wonderful to work with throughout the whole weightless process. I originally had the lap band done by Dr Korman in 2010, which didn’t work out so well for me and after two years of battling my weight loss with the band we decided that it was time to try something different. I had the sleeve gastrectomy done in Mar. 2013 and have since lost over 100lbs, in which I have surpassed my goal. I now have more energy, I feel happier, and most of my medical problems have gone away. If it wasn’t for Dr Korman and his staff, I wouldn’t be where I am today. It has been a long journey but in the end the results speak for themselves. Thank you everyone at LA Bariatrics for your help and support. You all continue to surpass my expectations and are always very accommodating.

The Absolute Best!
I love Dr. Korman and his staff. On my first meeting with him, I felt completely at ease. He was so easy to talk to, not judgmental in the least, open and attentive. His staff is great too and bent over backwards to help me with all my questions, particularly insurance. I can’t say enough about them, I highly recommend them. If you are considering weight loss surgery, this is the place! I had the sleeve done and in 3 months am down 42 pounds, Overjoyed at my results!

10/​31/​2011 Dr. Korman changed my life! During my orientation I experienced a little apprehension. But, Dr. Korman won me over with his exceptional staff. Brigitted Agee is thoroughly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Crystal is awesome, I look forward to her during my visits as she is just as warm and attentive. Two months ago, Dr. Jermey Korman performed a lap-​band surgery for me. He is a very nice doctor and all of his staff are very helpful. After the surgery, I had some complication which is very common on those type of surgery. I was calling morning and night on the cell phone of Bridgette the registered nurse. she always answered her phone any time and gave good advises nicely and friendly. I love this office and staff. Dr. Korman is the best in his field, and I highly recommend him. So far, I lost 30 pounds in 2 months
