The name doesn’t reflect the menu because the owner and his wife moved from Miami to Marco Island and opened this in December of 2012 The wife is a baker and makes all sorts of cakes and also makes Spanish pastries you find/see more around the Miami area. Try the pastelillos that take about 10 – 15 minutes to bake fresh(Spanish Cuban version of a meat turnover) very good with a great deal of meat inside. or try the quesitos de espinaca– Spanish pastry made with cheese with spinach– very very good and of course have the café con leche– no other Spanish/Cuban coffee on the island and this place hits it out of the ball park. We didn’t try the Cuban sandwiches that are on the menu board but if they are as good as the café con leche or cortadito we had with the pan(french bread for the coffee), this place will take off The place is painted in a pastel color like those you see throughout Florida’s southern area and, there is classical music playing which doesn’t match the ambiance of the concept and when/if the owner plays salsa /Spanish and or classic spanish music over the speaker system and were to change the name to somehow give passerby the clue that will draw them in when one see that its Cuban coffee, this place will be hard to get into whether its peak or off peak season. We would call it Latin Bakery Creations or something like Café con Leche, That’ll draw people to come in to see what all the fuss is about. We give it 4 stars. and can not wait until our next visit to Marco Island to go have us some café con leche and a cuban sandwich BUENPROVECHO !!!
