Don’s Mobile Glass is deeply rooted in the community and continuously gives back by supporting numerous organizations, charities and local events.

Company founder Don Monaco built the company on a foundation of community involvement and participation, a principle that continues to be carried out by him and Don’s Mobile Glass employees.

Don founded the Don’s Mobile Glass Holiday Shopping Trip over 30 years ago. What started in 1973 as a few children going to dinner with Don has continued to grow year after year. With the help and generosity of numerous dedicated employees and volunteers from the community, over 100 local underprivileged children get the opportunity to go shopping for clothes and toys and are treated to dinner, gifts and entertainment each year.

Auto Glass– Don’s Mobile Glass has a vested interest in your vehicle and for the safety of your passengers. We understand that properly selecting the right shop can be a challenge, and «low price» might not always be the glass deal you are looking for. Our staff is educated and our installers are formally trained, in other words we are focused on what we know and offer to you. We replace over 13,000 windshields and over 4,000 tempered parts each year, and our comeback percentage is less than 2%. History

Established in 1960.

Don Monaco started his mobile glass business with a used milk truck in 1960. The first storefront location was in Modesto CA in 1966. The business grew throughout the years and as the service area increase more store locations were opened. Don’s Mobile Glass currently has stores in Merced, Turlock, 3 locations in Modesto, Manteca and Stockton. We are very proud to have been serving the Central Valley’s glass needs for more than 50 years.

In 1978 our founder, Don Monaco, hired Steve, a CSU Stanislaus graduate, as the office manager and CPA for the company. After 22 years Steve took over the majority ownership as Don went into retirement. Steve, and his partner Bill, have since then expanded into the company into 5 retail locations, along with a shower door manufacture, and a full service tire repair shop.
