History

Established in 2011.

Dr. Viecilli moved from Indianapolis-​IN to join NYU as faculty in 2010 and started to see patients in the NYU Faculty Practice in 2011.

Business Owner

Dr. Rodrigo F. Viecilli obtained his Orthodontics certificate and a PhD in Dental Science (Oral Biology) at Indiana– Purdue University Indianapolis.

He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He is native of Brazil, where he obtained engineering, DDS and initial orthodontic training. Dr. Viecilli has 10 years of experience in clinical care and research in Orthodontics. He has published many orthodontic research papers and is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the American Journal of Orthodontics.

Dr. Viecilli maintains an academic appointment as Assistant Professor at New York University College of Dentistry, where he directs the Orthodontic Biomechanics Laboratory. His research concentrates on how to improve tooth movement, orthodontic appliances and reduce their side effects. He teaches Orthodontic Technique and Biomechanics courses to residents at NYUCD.
