Art of the Drink Beverage Consulting specializes in beverage program development and management, staff training, and spirits marketing. We work with new and existing establishments to create drink programs that combine both classic and cutting-​edge cocktails with cost-​effective execution and broad market appeal. We also offer TIPs and ServSafe responsible alcohol training, including New York State Responsible Vendor Program certification, which confer significant insurance discounts as well as reduced exposure in the event of violations. Our award-​winning cocktail video series is known and trusted by millions of loyal viewers worldwide, and affords a unique opportunity for web video and social media brand exposure. Additional services include cocktail recipe creation, seminar development and presentation, and marketing consulting.

History

Established in 2005.

Art of the Drink was founded with the national release of Art of the Drink, Volume 1: Bar Essentials, which quickly became the best-​selling instructional bartending DVD online. This was soon followed by Art of the Drink TV, the leading cocktail web show with millions of loyal viewers worldwide and over 80 critically-​acclaimed episodes available on every major web video site, as well as TivoCast OnDemand and nearly 100 local TV broadcast stations. The series is an iTunes top-​twenty-​five Food Podcast and was named Best Instructional Vlog by Lulu. TV, Best Instructional Podcast by The New York Times Online, and has been nominated for two consecutive Tasty Awards for beverage programming. AOTD-​TV has been translated into Spanish and Chinese, making it available in the world’s three most widely-​spoken languages. Founder Anthony Caporale has managed some of the top restaurants in New York City, and currently develops recipes and marketing assets for the world’s largest spirits companies.

Business Owner

Anthony Caporale has been a professional Mixology Instructor and Bar Chef for two decades, and has been involved in the opening of over a dozen major restaurants in roles ranging from Bar Operations Consultant to General Manager to Owner. He is a Society of Wine Educators Certified Specialist in Spirits, a ServSafe Alcohol Instructor, a TIPs Trainer for Responsible Alcohol Service, a certified Food Manager, and a member of both the U.S. Bartenders’ Guild and the Guild of Sommeliers. Anthony currently sits on the faculty of the Culinary Management Program at Manhattan’s award-​winning Institute of Culinary Education, and he is also a Chef Instructor for their Beverage and Mixology classes. Anthony is a favorite guest on the WPIX-​TV Morning Show and Martha Stewart Living Radio in New York, and he is a member of the Chilled Magazine Editorial Staff. In 2008, Anthony was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steven Beshear for his work promoting and educating consumers about Bourbon.
