Stop looking for a dj and just call Vox! Everyone was very professional and on point. I saw Kara spinning at another event and really wanted her as our wedding dj. It didn’t look like we could get her due to budget, but Vox worked with us and Kara came and did an amazing job! She was very professional and had every detail down to a T. She was a great mc, the sound was on point and the night had a great flow.

DJ JOHNNY GALLO and VOX DJs were FANTASTIC!!! DJ Johnny Gallo, got the last minute call to DJ for our school Benefit and you would have thought he had been planning for weeks! He was extremely professional, easy to work with, arrived early and was more than ready for our Cattle Baron’s Bash. His music was an amazing mix of country and current hits — ALL great dance music. The dance floor was packed. He was ready with all special requests and could not have been nicer!!! I will defiantly be requesting DJ Johnny Gallo again!!!

KC and his team worked our fundraiser at our school last Saturday night. what a great team! KC was also our auctioneer and drew more money out of our crowd than anyone has in quite some time!
After the auction the dance floor opened and they played the best music. all the parents raved about them. You will not be disappointed if you hire KC and his team from Vox DJs

James Shippy DJed our wedding this past weekend, and it was great! We met in person about a month before to go over our detailed timeline, selected songs, and name pronunciations. And then we had a Skype call the week before to finalize last minute details and go over any changes or questions. The whole team is very professional and accommodating. He kept the energy up throughout the night, and all of our guests really enjoyed themselves. Thanks for a great experience!

My husband & I are beyond fortunate to have worked with Jeff for our wedding this past October 2015. From the very beginning VOX was the only option we considered for our wedding music & DJ needs. Rob is such a delight in coordinating, we simply went through the entire list of available DJ’s for our date and Jeff was by far the best match for us — thank goodness he was available!
Our planning meeting was so much fun and Jeff is such a great person to be around, I took pride in all the prep work I had done in selecting the music and organizing the «when» for it to be played. I love Vox DJs! They are as good as it gets! I’ve hired Vox twice now. Henry Jones was the DJ for our Wedding in 2013 and this past weekend we had Nick Messerly for my daughters Sweet 16. Both DJ’s are FANTASTIC!!!
Nick was a perfect fit for my daughter’s party. He got on the dance floor with the girls to show them some moves and kept the life of the party going. He’s high energy and fantastic to work with.
I highly recommend this company and I will never use another DJ service as long as these guys are around!!!

Absolutely fabulous wedding DJ Cullen Martinez. Kept the guests on the dance floor 3 hours straight. Knew just the right song for each moment. Tremendously positive upbeat music and play lists. KC Campbell is the perfect wedding MC with excellent timing and the perfect words for each introduction. Both men were full of energy all night and did not disappoint. Use VOX with confidence. Then get your dancing shoes ready as you will be on the dance floor all night.

I can’t say enough great things about my experience. I had a strict budget for our school’s father daughter dance. Typically we’ve always used a friend/​volunteer and the stress of having equipment failure, inappropriate songs for the kids, etc. made me really want to spend the money on a professional. Professional is 110% what i got! From my initial call which was answered by a live person & not voice mail I was pleased. I was given a price and itemized breakdown of extras. At no point did i feel pressured or like I was being upsold. Within minutes I received a contract for review based on our conversation. There were no surprises! I received another confirmation email when I emailed back the contract, and another to let me know my check arrived. The day before the even I was given my DJ’s cell number & his personal email. Chantz arrived 90 minutes before the dance. He was absolutely perfect for a school dance/​young, super cute, clean-​cut, and amazingly professional for someone as young as he was. He set up and had it all under control. He met all of my requests through the night and had all the little girls giggling away while getting the dads out on the dance floor. Can’t say enough great things and i will use VOX for as many events as I can!

We have been using Vox DJ’s for years now. They are our go to company for business and personal events. Always professional and on time. DJ David is our personal favorite! He can make any party a hit.

This review is for DJ David Newton, we had him for an 80’s theme retirement party. I’m not happy at all with this dude. Paid extra for full dance light package i didn’t see any diff to reg lights. The dj is a joke. The music was lame. He played nothing but lil girl dance music. He was told to play 80’s Rock and he didn’t. He only played 2 songs out of ALOT THAT WE REQUESTED I’ll give him –1 star for a short dance lesson.

I tried not to be a bridezilla about my December 2015 wedding, but I was fanatical about the music. I knew exactly what I wanted, and I planned to create and burn all the playlists myself. I needed a good DJ to judge the timing and mood of the room, and choose songs from my playlists. VOX DJs put me together with Tommy O’Sullivan, who was heads and shoulders above my admittedly picky standards. Tommy understood exactly what I was after, and he did an absolutely fantastic job. He kept the dance floor hopping, and everyone loved the songs.
On top of everything, Tommy is one of the nicest guys you can imagine, and he was a real pleasure to work with. He made the whole process as easy as possible, and was extremely professional. He handled the lighting and announcements as well as the music, and he helped our La Venta Inn setting look gorgeous.
I highly recommend VOX DJs. Their price is fair, they have flexible plans and great planning tools to help you. They’re also friendly and straightforward. If you need a DJ, call them (and request Tommy).

I used VOX-DJ’s for the second time this past November, this time for a women’s philanthropic fundraising event and fashion show. Mike Rylander was our DJ and event host and we could not have been more pleased with his work. The music selection was perfect for both the lunch and meet and greet and great for the runway as well. I highly recommend VOX DJ’s and specifically Mike for both his high level of professionalism and great personality.

Imagine the glamour of an awards ceremony photo-​shoot placed within your wedding. The lighting, props, attendant, and photobooth style was perfect. VOX DJs presented their photobooth at our wedding last week and the guests are still raving about the fun pictures!

VOX DJ’d our wedding and made for an amazing night and overall experience! From the moment we started communicating with them they were polite, accommodating, and understanding. They worked with us every step of the way, helping with our budget, creating the set list, and performing throughout the night.
At one point of the planning process we were deciding between a local DJ and VOX. We ultimately went with VOX and it was the best decision we made. I had no worries as our wedding day approached that they would be in control and set the tone for our party. Knowing we didn’t have to worry about the music, party, DJ, or introductions, allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening even more.
Our DJ was James Shippy and we couldn’t recommend him more highly. He met us close to our home and within an hour helped us craft almost our entire reception. He was responsive and patient through all emails and great to work with. On the night of, his set reflected exactly what we were looking for, which was a pleasure for me as a hip-​hop head and jazz fan. He melded my now wife and my cultures and preferences into a great party that literally had every family member dancing.
Great company, great night! Thank you VOX.

My now wife and I couldn’t have picked a better company to DJ our wedding. We booked them about a year ahead of our date and kept in constant communication and replying to emails/​phone calls immediately. They helped accommodate our budget as well.
As for the actual DJ, we had DJ Henry Jones and he played everything we wanted and kept the party going on all night. Everyone loved the music as the right song was played at the right time every step of the way. Met with him about 3 weeks before the big day and he was very professional, courteous and made sure he got every detail down from pronouncing the names of everyone in our bridal party right to sticking to the day of timeline. Highly recommend him and VOX DJ’s for your wedding or any event.

DJ Joe Pera made our wedding fun and entertaining. He was very active on the dance floor and kept our wedding flowing smoothly. We would highly recommend Joe as your wedding DJ and MC. Overall, it was a pleasure working with VOX DJs — they were quick to respond the emails and very helpful with any question we had. They are awesome guys!

DJ Andrew Trego is amazing! He really made our wedding day even better he’s so good at what he does, full of energy and just knows what goes. I’m Mexican and I married an American Italian, there was always someone dancing! The whole night the dance floor was full of guests. I danced the whole night… DJ Trego has seriously got it going on! Everyone had a blast! He was also sweet enough to plug in our dinner musician. We highly recommend you check out DJ Trego, you won’t be disappointed!

Vox DJ’s was the perfect choice for our wedding! We had DJ Trego and everyone agreed that he was the best DJ they had ever seen at a wedding. He had the perfect amount of enthusiasm and chose the right songs to keep everyone dancing all night. He made sure that the evening went smoothly and that everything happened right on schedule.
Vox also provided us with a photo booth, which was a huge hit, and the pictures turned out great! The uplights from Vox were a great addition to the room as well.
Overall, we highly recommend Vox to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

Kara was the BEST!!!
Seriously, hands down my favorite dj I’ve ever had at any party I’ve ever been to. And I’m not just using a ton of superlatives — I LOVE music and dancing and I’m telling you, if Kara was a dj at a club I would be a regular at that club because of how good she was at our engagement party last weekend.
My fiancé and I wanted to get a dj for our engagement party because of how much our crowd loves to dance — I was super nervous though because a lot of dj’s in the past my parents have used for company stuff never played music people liked to dance to all that much. Or played music that was alright, but just didn’t vibe with the crowd that well.
Right away, from the first email we exchanged, Kara got what we were looking for. A mix of 90’s r&b and Jamaican mellow music to warm up the crowd, some motown and disco to get the older people going, and then Cupid Shuffle and junior high dance classics/​current stuff like Lean Back, Yeah, and Hotline Bling to shut the party down. She was super easy to follow up with, worked with some noise complaints we were worried about with our neighbors, and overall was just such a joy to work with.
It’s a huge load off my wedding planning to know that we have such a good dj and everyone will have a great time. People were so happy and invested in her dj-​ing I had at least ten people come up to me at the party and be like Kara is dj-​ing the wedding right?!? Because she’s killing it right now!!! No worries Kara — after that amazing job you did we wouldn’t even dream of hiring anyone else.

Kara was an excellent DJ and a lovely person in general. She was also a great communicator leading up and during the wedding. There was a lot of dancing and good times thanks to Kara.
I strongly suggest hiring Kara for any occasion.

We booked DJ Aaron Free for our 190 person wedding and we must say we were impressed throughout the whole process. From all of our meetings to the very day, Aaron was on point. He worked extremely hard throughout the big day, setting up 3 different stations at a tough venue for DJ’s. He was so prepared. Aaron took our advice and requests on music and kept the party going the whole night, with music WE love. Could not be happier with Aaron and the VOX staff.

He was very receptive to questions before our wedding, and did a walkthrough at the venue before the big day, as it was an unusual location. We also wanted to have an EDM party after the cake cutting, and he made it work, even kept lots of non-​EDM people still on the dance floor during it!

We hired Vox DJs for a wedding and they assigned DJ Robbie to us. We met with him before the event to go over the logistics. Filled out the paperwork they gave us, which songs to play when, and who to introduce, along with the sequence of events, etc… and everything seemed fine. UNTIL the day of the event. Looking over it, it was not that great.
For one, he did not have the music ready when people were walking down the aisle. The music did not come on until the bridesmaids were walking in. There was no music playing for the groomsmen.
After the ceremony, when the bridal party was making an entrance, he introduced people using the wrong name (Ex. William instead of Willis). And he missed one person completely causing them to be walking out when the introductions were being made for the husband and wife. The shout out to the special guest was not given, even though it was planned at the previous meeting to do so.
When it came time for the first dance, he did NOT have the correct song for the first dance!!! Even though we had already gone over the song at the meeting beforehand (before the day of the event) and there were NO changes made to the first dance song.
He instead asked if he could play another song instead.
Also, we spent time putting together a list of songs for him to play, but he choose to play his own list of songs. It could not have been requests for the guests because we asked all the guests if they requested any songs and very few people did so.
Another weird thing was the last song. He announced that he was playing the last song for the night, but proceeded to play eight or so more songs. Each time announcing that it was the «LAST» song of the night.
I would not recommend Vox DJs. Even the whole environment of the company is very Hermosa Beach Bro with their favorite song to end a party being Don’t Stop Believing or Pour Some Sugar on me. Luckily, it was on my do not play list so Robbie didn’t play it.

Jack Farmer was our DJ and working with the VOX Team (including Aaron Free and Robert Corrall on logistics/​invoicing) was a pleasure from the very beginning, with regular followups and check-​ins. During our last meeting with Jack before the big day to go through specifics, Jack was charismatic and understanding and offered advice and options easily. We really felt like we were being taken care of!
On the day of the wedding, Jack came to set up all the gear on time, with a smile throughout the whole day, putting people at ease and keeping spirits high. We also rented microphones for our live guitarist and allowed our videographer to plug into the audio to record our vows. Jack also has the perfect cheery and professional «DJ» voice to announce key points during our wedding!
Dancing! We had a relatively shy crowd at times and Jack hyped up the dance floor when the tone came down and kept spirits going high. He was able to read the dance floor vibe very well, transitioning from song to song perfectly, I want to say our maid of honor went through «this is my jam!!» moments pretty much constantly through the night.

I’ll start by saying DJ services is the thing I dragged my feet on the most while planning our wedding because I was SO nervous about it! The DJ essentially makes or breaks your party and you really don’t know how it’s going to go until it happens. Let me tell you – DJ Casey Wixted delivered in a HUGE way! Our dance floor was always full which was one of our main goals.
Overall, working with Vox DJs was a pleasure. I worked with Robert, Robbie (for the photo booth), and Casey and everyone was fantastic. My mind was completely at ease in the capable hands of the Vox team. Robert is excellent and getting a sense for the type of wedding or party you want to have and matching your personality with a DJ that will best suit your needs. They have competitive prices and amazing services! Highly recommend to make your party come alive.
