Description

Specialties

Located in Louisville’s emerging Portland neighborhood sits Over the 9, a full-service restaurant, bar, and private event space, housed in the same complex as Old 502 Winery and Falls City Brewery. The space offers exclusive Falls City and Old 502 releases, with a cocktail program that playfully draws from the regions history and palate. The kitchen puts thoughtful spins on small plates and pub fare, with a seasonally updated menu incorporating local, fresh ingredients. The Loft at Over the 9, located on the second floor, is a rustic, intimate event space perfect to host a meeting of 20, a dinner of 100, or a wedding of 200. With in-house catering and all inclusive packages, The Loft at Over the 9 takes all the guess work out of planning your special event.

History

Established in 2015.

Previously known as the Old 502 Winery tasting room, and prior to that, Riverbend Winery.

Meet the Manager

David H.

Manager

David is the Managing Partner and creator of the concept Over the 9. As the head of his company’s restaurant division, he was tasked with creating a space to incorporate the two brands that occupied the complex, Falls City Beer and Old 502 Wine. «I wanted to create a space unique to itself, that would assist in growing the profile of the brands it partnered with,» says Hagan, who also was responsible for creating the Fieldhaus Brand. «Over the 9 is more than just a beer and wine bar, it’s a true restaurant experience with hand crafted burgers, sandwiches, and small plates. It serves notice to the city that you can build a great brand in an undesirable area, and if you put out a high quality product at a reasonable price, the value will bring success.» Hagan partnered with Chef Bob Durbin, formerly of Against the Grain, on an innovative and affordable menu that is appealing for lunch, dinner, and date night.
