The food is decent and edible. However, my husband and I have tried several hibachi and sushi restaurants in town. The easiest way to describe this restaurant is the Waffle House of Sushi.

I came here after work with a co worker looking for some good sushi and found so much more. They have relatively inexpensive hibachi and sushi, I got filet and fried rice and a sushi roll for under $ 20. This place is definitely worth trying, if you like Japanese it’s a must try. It’s must faster than most traditional Japanese restaurants as well which is a plus if your looking for a quick lunch. When we went we got a table at 2:10 and were leaving by 2:50. I would recommend going.

I pretty much love this place. I don’t do Sushi, I prefer the grill items, but whether eating in or picking it up to take home, the service is always top notch. Good prices as well…

The lady at the front desk was very kind to us, but the food just wasn’t there. The sashimi smelled«fishy» and the rolls were burnt. I will not be back. I saw really good reviews about this place and thought it looked similar to our favorite spot in town Oiishi sushi but it didnt live up to its hype(in my opinion) save your $$$ and go else where

This place was just down the road from where I was working. They had an extensive sushi menu, as well as noodle bowls and hibachi… all with lunch pricing. The food was fast and delicious. I ordered three different rolls and each one was wonderful. Definitely recommend

Server was really slow and kept forgetting what we asked for. 3 out of 4 of the people in my party ordered filet And they came out to tell us after like 10 minutes to say they only had 1 left. Do we had to draw straws to figure who got it. Husband orders 2 sushi rolls and didn’t like either of them.

Delicious food, fast and friendly service! The prices are affordable and we loved the variety of sushi choices! This is a hidden gem in Fern Creek! We will be returning often! The salad & rice are yummy as well !

This is a great place to eat. Whether it be a sushi night or a hibachi either is delicious. The gyoza is excellent and the service is great. They always greet you with a smile and this place beats all others when it comes to taste vs. price. My favorite sushi is the tornado roll and ehh sexy lady roll.

Great friendly staff brings some incredible sushi, and our sushi chef surprised us with mini shrimp for our yellow tail.

Go to Sake Blue. This is a smaller place and thebother one has a wait, but the sushi here is just not that good. There is this one sauce that is on everything and we ordered four rolls and really didn’t enjoy anynof them. The Poison spider roll was the only one tolerable. Big sushi fan and this was not good.

What a little treat! I can thank the Unilocal!Community for helping me find this place on a late Sunday night! Their sushi list is extensive and their service is fast! They also have a speedy hibachi service as well! The only downside is if you have allergies to anything(shellfish, gluten, etc) you need to take it upon yourself to talk through with your waiter or waitress about things you can and cannot have.(I know this is the case at just about every restaurant) They also do takeout if you want to pick up sushi in your jammies, then go back to your Netflix marathon!(I may or may not have done this!)

Appears the unfortunate demise of a once neighborhood favorite. Place half full — sat us by front door — every time door opened 20 degree breeze right up our pants leg. Appears cooks working hibachi grill have little experience — orders all over the place — food over cooked — no presentation — portions ridiculously small. Ordered the shrimp — menu state approx 13 served — received 9 very small over cooked shrimp. Waiter checked on us once or twice. Noticed waitresses making funny faces when picking up hibachi orders for table guests. My son’s Filet was so bad he could not eat all of it — overlooked and clearly cooked on improperly cleaned grill. No sauces served with hibachi meals. So disappointed as this was once a family favorite as our quality choices limited on fern creek.

Best sushi in Louisville! We love this place. Better food than the other place in Fern Creek(which is also good), but less pretentious and more reasonably priced. Great drink specials as well. Haven’t tried their hibachi grill yet, but it looks really good.

They have a Hibachi Express lunch but we came for sushi rolls. We were greeted at the door and shown a booth seating tabletop. The Hibachi is in the center of the restaurant. There are some good beer specials advertised but it is Sunday and I live in Kentucky now so that means no beer for me with my lunch so we ordered sweet tea. So back to the food… We ordered the Gyoza and the Asahi roll(Fried Shrimp, avocado, Crab, and sushi shrimp) and the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi. Everything was excellent. I think I found my new regular sushi joint!

This is my favorite place to get sushi and Japanese food. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they provide solid service. If you go regularly they’ll get to know you cause it’s always the same crew. Food is always spot on. It’s fun to sit at the hibachi everyone in a while. In my opinion this is the best sushi for your money in the city, you won’t break the bank like you will at some other establishments.

This is my new favorite sushi place! On my second and third visits here I had the Pink Lady Roll — Tuna, Snapper, Albacore & Salmon inside and wrapped in soy paper, the New Orleans Roll — Crown fish, avocado, jalapeño, cream cheese with spicy mayo and eel sauce and the Spicy Yellowtail Roll. Also tried Calamari for the first time ever. The service has been great on each visit. The sushi is fresh and delicious and the portions are huge.
