Specialties
Specializing in Rhôné varietals such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Viognier — the boutique productions are accomplished with a signature world-class touch that truly bottles the unique expressions of their origins and territory. The organically farmed and family-operated Larner Vineyard is one of the most praised properties in California, comprised of 34 acres with chalky and sandy loam soils that make for mineral-driven, balanced, age-worthy wines. Located in the Los Olivos General Store — an historic landmark that used to be Santa Barbara County’s oldest filling station founded in 1901. A modern take on an old classic, the old fill station has been restored to include a tasting room, gift shop and gallery. Enjoy handcrafted elegant wines while basking in the sun on our new patio or inside the most intimate tasting room at the center of downtown Los Olivos.
History
Established in 2012.
The Larner Vineyard was planted in 1999 and has been used as a source for other producers since 2001. The Larner family began producing under their own label in 2009 and opened the tasting room in 2012. The Larner Vineyard continues to be a source for many other smaller producers. The Larner family produces 800 — 1,000 cases annually — all sourced from the family Estate.
