Our small wine tasting room offers award-​winning, hand crafted wines from tercero wines, a leading producer of rhone variety reds and whites. We work with great vineyard fruit from throughout Santa Barbara County and put together wines that are known for their quality and longevity.

We work hard to ensure that everyone who walks in the door of our wine tasting room is made to feel comfortable about the wine tasting experience, and we do not ‘pre-​judge’ anyone! We provide wine information, not intimidation, and we strive to empower you to find out what you like and describe it in your own words (you will NOT find winemaker tasting notes here at all)!

Come on by and try some of our crisp Grenache Blanc, Viogner, or Rose, our ‘dryish’ Gewürztraminer that we call The Outlier, our Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Grenaches, Syrahs, or red blends!

History

Established in 2011.

Our wine label was originally established in 2006, when we set out to make our first vintage. We have therefore been making wine since then, but just opened our tasting room in September, 2011.

Larry started in the wine business as part of the winemaking staff at Fess Parker WInery and Epiphany Cellars in 2005, after graduating with a Masters Degree in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis. He remained there, helping to produce many award-​winning wines, until leaving in mid-​2011.

In addition to making and marketing tercero wines, Larry is an active board member for the Santa Barbara County Vintner’s Association as well as the Rhone Rangers.

This business is a ‘marriage’ of two separate ‘lives’ — one as someone who worked in niche marketing in the toy and publishing industries and one as someone who has a Masters Degree from UC Davis in Viticulture and Enology.

This combination allows me to view the wine world and winemaking in a ‘different light’. .. I am a consumer first and foremost and a winemaker second. I do not make wines as ‘museum pieces’ but instead make wines that are enjoyable upon release, but that will also age gracefully. ..
