They came right on time, didn’t fool around got right to business. Showed me the nasty nest that the wasps made. Glad I made that call.

Well, my Honey People are gone. I’ve been buying honey from Eggman Family Farms at the Farmers Market at U. N. Plaza for the past 12 years. Boo-​hoo! It was great honey at a reasonable price. But not to worry: the Honey Ladies to the rescue! As I was wandering around today looking for good things to eat, lo and behold; right by the BART escalator I espied Tina and her Poison Oak honey. That’s right, you heard me, poison oak. Delicious. If nothing else, it will enliven the conversation at those boring meals with The Relatives this holidaze season. If you’re a’scared, you big babies can try the Blackberry or Lotus Blossom honey; both are divine. Of course there are the usual suspects; Clover, Wildflower, and Orange Blossom. Not so common are the Sage and Buckwheat honeys. The Buckwheat is almost like molasses; I’m thinking you could substitute it for molasses in gingerbread or gingersnaps. Their flyer suggests using it in barbacoa sauce. Sounds good to me. And did I mention bee pollen? No? OK, they have bee pollen for sale too. Also Royal Jelly and beeswax candles. The paper wasps returned (in early August) and made a new nest in the same place that was treated in mid-​May. Since the May service included a 1 year warranty, I reached out to Wendy and she emailed back that the new nest was covered and they could come back to remove it. I admit that my schedule had some limited availability. However, despite that, setting up a date/​time was straightforward (Wendy gave me an approximate time and said that she would call me before to give me a heads up that she was on her way). But, that date/​time passed and they never showed up. 3 separate calls and 3 separate emails later, I never got a call back or an email reply. Since I hadn’t heard back at all, I researched and ended up taking care of this myself. Given that I was a recent customer who just gave a glowing Unilocal review, this was a huge disappointment. I can’t believe they conduct business this way. If they call you back AND show up, their work is great. But, if you want to take a chance on whether they will actually call you back, show up, or you feel like chasing them down if you need them to come back, then you should definitely call The Honey Ladies. Otherwise, I would not waste my time working with them nor would I recommend them again.

When we found a huge yellow jacket nest under our deck, didn’t know who to call. A co-​worker recommended The Honey Ladies. Crossed my fingers that they worked in our area. They did and after 30 mins they were ready to leave with nest and all. $ very reasonable with 100% guarantee. Thank you Wendy

I’ve been extremely interested in taking up beekeeping, but was a bit nervous since I’m just starting out. They say on their website they rent and sell beehives. I got so excited, I thought it would be great to rent a beehive and learn that way. I sent emails, I called, I left messages. No reply. It’s been about 3 weeks and still no reply. I saw all of their good reviews and was so excited to find lady beekeepers. I’m just so disappointed.

I had them come out because we get many different types if wasps/​bees. After $ 100 all she did us look around and say she didn’t see any so they must not live here and she put up a trap. I wanted her to come out in the afternoon but they couldn’t accommodate that even though i said there aren’t any bees/​wasps in the morning. She didn’t look around much. My husband ended up finding 3 wasp «nests» and got rid of them himself carefully. I would not recommend them.

We were having a bee problem with bees in our wall and coming into our house, so I called several places and they were quoting ridiculous prices and were even charging just as ridiculous fees to come out and look, so I said this is the last place and person I’m calling. So I spoke with WENDY and I told her about our problem and she said «not a problem lest set up a date so I can come and see «so of course my response was with me eyes closed «how much do you charge to come out ?? And WENDY responded with her bubbly, friendly voice «NOTHING» !!! So she came out and was the most sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet, as well as her helpers and her fees are sooo reasonable I just wanted to keep hugging her !!! I highly highly recommend THE HONEY LADIES hands down and two thumbs up and a bow to the Queen THE HONEY LADIES. This lady is a bad a$$.
Having paper wasp problem taken care of. Wendy speaks fluent Spanish AND they never kill the bees or wasps they find. they relocate them… AND got great a education on bees and wasps! AND they sell honey at local farmer’s markets!
Wendy and her husband went on the hot roof to recaulk two 30 year old sky lights that had gaps in the seal.
Their fee was fair, service was excellent, and I have a guarantee or they’ll return to find a solution. I learned a lot and Wendy was a true delight to work with.

We had The Honey Ladies come out in August 2014 to remove wasp nests around our house using the $ 75 for $ 100 discount. They checked every vent on the roof and removed a variety of nests.
Fast-​forward to end of June 2015, we heard more buzzing in one of the bathrooms. My wife called The Honey Ladies back this morning, and in less than two hours they returned, removed two nests, and installed another screen on a vent, all free-​of-​charge by honoring their guarantee. You can’t ask for better service!

What a great and really fast service!
I noticed the swarm of bees over the weekend in my backyard and it’s location was dangerous for my dog and the other animals who are visiting my yard…
I called Wendy on Monday and she called me back shortly after. She came to estimate the work to be done the same day we spoke and told me she could remove it on Wednesday morning, 2 days later. She did ;^)
The swarm was gone by the time I came back home and I was releived to know that it was going to be put to good use. This is really a great service and Wendy and her team are excellent professional.
In the process Wendy taught me a few interesting facts:
1 — If bees are flying above you in circle, not a good thing as they are «spaying» you with pheromones so all bees know you are not a desirable person and you can get stung (I had no idea!).
2 –It is illegal in California to kill swarms of bees.
Anyhow, Wendy made my day and I will definitely recommend and refer her services any day!

Martin just left my house after vacuuming up about 50 bumble bees from under my back patio. They were on time and after an hour, no more bees! They sealed up the hole where the bees where coming from too so we won’t have any more. Thanks guys!

I called Honey Ladies yesterday (Monday, Jun 1), about yellow jacket infesting my attic. Due to heat problem in attic during the day, I suggested to Wendy that they come early, like 7 am.
Today, Martin (plus one other) from Honey Ladies came on-​time. I showed Martin location from outside, and then described to him what I had seen (briefly) after trying to remove a piece of loose insulation on the ceiling floor last weekend. I had thought that the yellow jackets were just starting to invade and had not penetrated the wire mesh (I think mesh is ½″), so I was just going to thread some wire through the vent hole, and then hang a yellow jacket trap outside to collect them. But as soon as I partially pulled back the insulation, several yellow jackets started to come flying out. I got out of attic as quickly as I could.
Glad I called Honey Ladies, because it turns out they have already built a fair size hive between the ceiling floor and insulation.
Martin was very professional and efficient. He removed the hive promptly, and even put up a ¼″ mesh on the outside to prevent further invasion. Despite wearing full protective gears, one yellow jacket still got inside of his protective headgear, and also stung him couple times (probably through opening of gloves).
This review is to advise all of you out there that Honey Ladies is a great and I highly recommend them, and that in most cases, you are probably better off seeking professional help from people like Martin than trying to do it yourself.

We have been lucky to work with The Honey Ladies twice now. It doesn’t seem lucky to have enormous swarms of bees infesting our backyard and chimney but we are lucky that Wendy and her team came out to honor her lifetime guarantee and save us from another summer of bees!

I was more than satisfied with Wendy’s services. I called on a Friday afternoon when I noticed a swarm of bees going into my fireplace and crawling between the cracks to fly in the home.
Wendy answered my call right away and made sure to get to my home within an hour. She took care of all the bees in the fireplace and the home, in addition to taking care of any more bees flying into the fireplace.

UNTIL…
Buzzed by not one, but two bees over my head.
WHAT THE HELL?!
I had to stumble and get out of the family room quick to get my wits about and realize I had three damn bees in my house!
It was even more frantic to find the fly swatter that I hadn’t used in at least three years. But I finally found it and eventually killed those guys.
I then searched the house for any open doors or windows… but nope… nada. Nothing.
So I chalked it up to perhaps a fluke. Maybe I left the door open when i got the morning paper?
Anyway, I sit back down and resume the match with my now warmer mug of root beer…
Then, I soon realize that there is ANOTHER damn bee in the room hovering in front of the flatscreen!
So I smash that one down and turn off the TV… and I hear yet more buzzing! OMG what is going on?!
After panic mode sets in and I dispel of THREE more bees (bee count = 5 thus far), I find out that they are coming in from the chimney! I can totally hear the echo of buzzing in there! And then, BAMN, YET ANOTHER ONE flies in. I’m speechless at this point.
As I frantically find material to cover around the glass fireplace door and seal it with packing tape, I start to think what I should do…
Luckily Unilocal comes to the rescue and I see that The Honey Ladies are not only in my area, they have excellent reviews. BUT, will they come on a Sunday?
As I call to find out, I see three more bees now land on the glass door trying to get thru the tape…
Luckily, Wendy answered and said she can come in an hour. Awesome!
She arrived as scheduled and immediately assessed the situation. No more bees in the chimney. But she found a wasp nest inside one of the bathroom roof vents. Yikes!
I brought her one of the dead bees to inspect and she confirmed they were Western Honey Bees. Scouts she said. LUCKILY they were just browsing for a new home and not settled in yet.
Her team removed the wasp nest from the bathroom vent and placed the wire mesh mentioned by others over the vent and chimney to prevent further issues. She was very knowledgeable about bees and wasps and answered my questions. I felt a LOT better knowing more about them.
Her price was very fair considering her time to get her team out to my house within an hour on a Sunday. And she takes credit cards! Totally great experience. Highly recommended if you are in a similar bind!

Oh my goodness was I a happy camper when The Honey Ladies came to the rescue! Now you might be thinking they came to my house and saved me from a swarm, not the case at all. Never mind that they forgot my appointment, sent another guy at the last minute, who didn’t even show up when they said he would. I’m upset that this company is totally greenwashed.
A land manager and ecologist, I selected this company because they seemed environmentally responsible. I wanted a nest of yellowjackets live trapped and released.
The tech marched over to the nest, said «Got a shovel? I’ll spray them and then dig the nest out with your shovel.» I asked about live removal, and he said «I don’t like to do those because I get stung». Then he showed me a picture of his swollen face from a previous job. I told him I had contacted this company because they did live removals, and he said «I’ll do it if you want.» I asked where they released the animals afterwards, and he said «Somewhere in Gilroy.» I asked, «Somewhere random?» He answered, «Yup, random.»
He then gave the piece of misinformation that caused me to write this review. He said: «Yellowjackets are the main killers of honeybees.» No, dummy, PEOPLE are the main killers of honeybees; people and our pesticides, fungicides, miticides, and neonicotinoids. Yellowjackets, wasps are actually the garden’s most important and valuable predator. They voraciously consume all sorts of pest insects, including aphids and slugs. I’m sure they predate honeybees as well; that’s a part of the natural order. The ones unnaturally killing off bees are us.
Two stars for indeed getting the nest out (with poison, for heaven’s sakes, I’m not going to have this guy’s swollen face and a «RANDOM» wasp release in Gilroy on my conscience). In the future, I will definitely will find another company with a truer shade of green for my clients. And the quote of the day was: «You didn’t even bring your own SHOVEL?»

Not sure how I feel about my experience with The Honey Ladies. We suddenly had wasps buzzing outside our house one Sunday, near these circular vents on the exterior. We called around and The Honey Ladies were available on Sunday to take a look. A man showed up, and he sprayed the wasp area but actually did not find a nest. He explained that they were likely starting to build a nest. He then cut out some coverings with chicken wire and covered the openings. He did the same with a few other openings on the side of our house. He then went on our roof and cut out some chicken wire to cover the vents on our roof.
In the end, the work cost $ 300 which surprised me. I had gotten another quote from a different company of $ 150, but my partner had already arranged with The Honey Ladies. It’s our fault for not getting a quote from The Honey Ladies prior to the work starting and there’s not much you can do after the work is done. The guy said it was extra because it was Sunday and extra because he went on the roof.
I’m not sure what to think — he got the job done, but it was pricier than we expected. Lesson learned — always get a quote before you start the work.

I called Wendy last week because I had bees in my vent. This all started when I looked outside and saw a whole bunch of bees, which I thought were wasps. I called the pest control person and when they came over they said that they were no longer allowed to kill honey bees because they are going to be extinct. They use them for pollinating plant. They recommend that I call a bee catcher and I ran by the honey ladies ad.
I called Wendy and she answered and schedule the appointment, and was on time. She was good about explaining what she was going to do and she did it well and even added a little fence in my vent so that the bees won’t come back. I did read a Unilocal review that said she didn’t honor her word. I am hoping that if they come back she will come back and fix it for me at $ 0 charge as her ad stated.
Her prices are reasonable. She charged me $ 100 for labor and I had to replace the vent so that costed me $ 22. I total it was $ 122 which was cheaper than killing them believe it or not.
I thought she did a good job, and she was very informative. Can’t wait to try some of her honey.
If you have been problems, don’t kill them, give them a new home.
