History

Established in 2001.

After I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in the late 90’s I was one of first dentists in Santa Clara County to begin treating patients with snoring and sleep apnea with an oral appliance.

Since I have sleep apnea, I understand how patients struggle trying to adapt to a CPAP. Some will struggle for years first trying this mask and then some newer one in hopes of getting it to work for them. Others will never be able to use a CPAP no matter what mask they use. I estimate that I have treated over 1,000 patients with an oral appliance.

I sold my dental practice so that I could devote full time to treating patients with snoring and sleep apnea.

Aldon J. Hilton DDS is «the trusted authority for dental sleep retainers» in the Bay Area. Dr. Hilton began his career in dentistry over 40 years ago. During that time, he obtained extensive training in restorative and cosmetic procedures and took care of many family’s dental needs in the South Bay.

In 2001, two sleep med physicians contacted Dr. Hilton for help with their CPAP intolerant patients. He agreed and began to study and research the different sleep retainers available at the time. He was personally motivated to learn all he could because he had been diagnosed with sleep apnea and had difficulty using a CPAP machine.

During those initial years, Dr. Hilton traveled the country taking courses from some of the top instructors in this field. He became an expert in treating patients for snoring and sleep apnea with sleep retainers.

To date, he has provided hundreds of oral appliances to a variety of patients in and around the Bay Area. It is not uncommon that many people seek o
