I’ve seen the progression of facility go from from 2 bays a putting green 4 years ago to an all inclusive golf training facility resembling a dream golf bungalow. Incredible staff, that as a collective you feel that all of them have the best interest on your progress and success. Months after taking my lessons there they still continue to give feedback and monitor my progress through the the videos I post on their recommended video training app, Edufii.

After playing golf for over 30 years, coming here was long overdue, and well worth the time. The assessment process was an eye-​opening experience to say the least. They really show you every aspect of your stance & swing.
The facility is extremely inviting and the staff is really focused on you, your game, and your health. It’s not a «your swing is wrong, let me show you what you need to do…» but helping you understand the swing, the clubs, and your golf performance from a health perspective, swing perspective and what you view as success.
They are great at explaining everything — and ensuring you are comfortable with the knowledge that they are sharing with you. Make no mistake, there’s a lot you can learn here — but it’s all on the big screen and easy to see. It’s the only way to see what works and where you need improvement.
You owe it to yourself to go here and let the professionals help you improve and enjoy your golfing experience. It made my next round of golf so much more fun and exciting.
Whether you play all the time, a few times a month, or just at the company golf outing, if you own golf clubs, you should really invest some time in going here to let them show you your full potential.

If you know about JDM equipment and how important it is to be properly fitted, this establishment will become your holy grail.
Matt Mora: extremely knowledgeable. Straight to the point. Helpful and kind all at the same time. He puts so much detail into explaining WHY you should swing this way, not that way.
Kevin Moore: another super nice guy! Very encouraging (I wasn’t hitting the best of shots and he helped calm my nerves a bit) He’s also very knowledgeable about all golf equipment and the swing.
Anyone who hasn’t pulled the trigger and come here, needs to. If you’re a golfer, this is the place to be. There’s a reason UGP has so many good reviews, and as soon as you walk in the door you’ll know why.

As a beginner golfer starting at age 30 I wanted to learn the game the right away. UPG is the way to do it. Chris Dunn, my instructor, has the experience, patience and techniques. Our first 5 or so lessons focused solely on form and movement, which has been invaluable to me feeling comfortable with the club and noticing when I am «off.» Tack on the facilities and equipment (TrackMan) I leave every session with videos and tools so I can practice with a frame of reference.
Aside from the golf experts, UPG also employs amazing trainers and body movement experts. I’ve worked with Rian a few times to help me better understand how to move my body and engage the right muscles, both while golfing and in everyday life. These sessions have helped me pinpoint the root cause of pain and limitations to my swing.
If you are looking to improve you golf game or better understand how to use your body this is the way to go. Chris, Rian and everyone else are amazing. Worth every dollar!

GREAT PEOPLE!!! GREAT PLACE!!!
I started off by going over there for a fitting. Unfortunately, my swing was so inconsistent that lessons were recommended. My inconsistency was so bad, that I was a 35 hcp.
After a lesson, my swing improved by a whole lot. After the 2^nd lesson, I ended up placing 3^rd in my local golf club’s tournament. After the 4^th lesson, I ended up being –1 after 8 holes in my very first match-​play tournament.
Now, the golf club thinks that I cheat… I have to consistently remind them to look at my scores from last season… And yes, the cat is out of the bag about private lessons. Now I have to carry a pocketful of UGP Business Cards because they cannot believe my improvement.
Chad Candelaria is an amazing coach. He is very knowledgeable and has great delivery at his young age. The training packages that they offer is very reasonable and definitely worth it! The state-​of-​the-​art technology at that UGP is unfathomable. Besides the proper teaching, I can see everything that is going on with the Trackman and all of the other statistics that is given during each of my lessons.
Matt Mora is definitely an equipment guru and Rian Chab is ridiculous with his fitness training. The rest of the crew is also top notch, Ben Smock always goes out his way to greet me as well as everyone else. I totally feel at home whenever I am over there. This place is TOP NOTCH!!!
I truly recommend Urban Golf Performance for all of your golfing needs. It is pretty much a one-​stop-​shop for golf. Especially if you want to improve. I cannot give a higher recommendation, they definitely are a LIFE-​CHANGER!!!

this is only a review of the putter fitting I got from Matt Mora.
the facility is gorgeous. If golftec is a bmw, ugp is a maserati: more and better. (and btw, i love golftec and have been going there for nearly two years)
so, the price is very reasonable, less than a couple hundred for the fitting. matt used the SIM (sic ?) system, where a device is placed on your putter that sends data to a computer program so he can see the data re my swing. he also used another couple devices and had me putt. the end result is proof of positive of what exactly is going on in my swing. for me, it was miraculous because i thought i was pulling my putts and the truth was that I was aiming left and my body (subconsciously) was correcting by opening the face at impact! wow. mind blowing. once i learned that i realized all my correction for my non-​existent pull were making things worse.
here’s the real impressive thing: ****** PAY ATTENTION: matt sent me a super detailed personalized (not some pre-​formed b.s.) email going over all the data and what it meant. i couldn’t believe it. i’ve been fitted for every club in my bag, once by one of the top fitters in california, and not once did i receive anything like that! so, i could take that info and give it to any club manufacturer or shop and have them make a putter perfect for me.
i ended up buying a club from ugp. they have models of the very best putters. they have bettanardi, peretti, muira and many more (there is a lot more out there besides those mass produced clubs you get at golf stores – that many think are the best because pros play them). my club is gorgeous, fits me perfectly, and – mostly because of the information from MATT MORA – i’m putting much better. knowledge is power when it comes to putting.
i can’t recommend matt any more. super nice guy and extremely good at what he does.

I went in for a full bag fitting.
When I first went in I was greeted kindly and was given a tour of the facility. Then they assessed my physical abilities and how it translated into my golf swing. I met with Matt (club fitter) and we got started with our fitting. They had a wide selection of clubs and shaft combinations. I got to test various combinations and eventually picked out the clubs I wanted in my bag.
Overall, UGP has a nice modern feel to it and the workers there gave their best effort to provide the customer with the best experience they could have.
I can’t wait for my clubs to come in. :)

This is a followup to my previous negative review, re unresponsive online interface. UGP contacted me & advised that their online system was down, when my questionnaire was received. They comped my fitting session, which was conducted by Matt Moore. With their state of the art equipment & Matt’s expertise, I now know more about my swing. The payoff is having my new set of irons TRULY fitted to me — with adjustments I would NEVER have obtained, off the shelf or with most mass retail golf chains. I am, now, a convert to REAL club fitting, and highly recommend Urban Golf Performance.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Looks small from the outside but on the inside your in another world. Top of the line stations. I was very impressed my instructor Chris and his team are incredible instructors. In one session I learned some much. He also gives you homework, he really cares. Must stop by!!!

I’d met with a few other coaches in the past — but none of them could clearly teach me how to fix my bad habits.
Kris Brennan, my coach at UGP, changed my game in just a few short months. Kris focused on every aspect of my game — ball address, takeaway, backswing, club speed and path, face angle, follow through, body and head positron, core strength and balance, foot placement, weight transfer, hip rotation, grip and hand strength, wrist feel and rotation, etc, etc, etc! I can’t thank him enough for his advice, patience, attitude and encouragement. Kris’ direction combined with all of UGP’s state of the art teaching technology made for an unbeatable learning experience.
My confidence has sky rocketed on both the driving range and out on the course. I can finally feel what I’m doing wrong and quickly make adjustments on the fly.
Kris and the whole team at UGP are great and I’d give them more than 5 Stars if I could! Book some lessons with them now — I promise you’ll become a better golfer!

I can’t say enough good things about Urban Golf Performance. If you love golf and want to get better, this is the place to go. I work specifically with golf pro Chris Dunn, and through his tutelage have already noticed a massive difference in my golf game. He does a phenomenal job communicating with me and has single handily shaped me into a better golfer in all facets of my game. At UGP, they take the approach of working from the ground up and covering everything from swing fundamentals, physical fitness and the mental side of golf. The facility itself is top notch and each bay is decked out with trackmans, cameras, and tv monitors along with a full gym and putting area. If you are a high handicapper looking to improve or a better player looking to fine tune, there is no better place in Los Angeles to get the personal attention, technology and results than UGP.

Went to check out the UGP facility last week and was completely blown away! Fitness Director Evan Flock gave me a grand tour letting me play with some of the state of the art equipment they have including training bays that use cameras to capture a 360 degree view of your swing; testing balance/​pressure points while simultaneously creating an immersive environment with their floor to ceiling projector screens. Staff was very friendly and involved. Fitness and physical therapy area was comprehensive. Evan conducted a thorough physical assessment while explaining the function of each test and how that relates to functional motion in golfing while looking at specific areas I can improve in movement. I highly recommend this facility!

I have been playing golf most of my life and have been self taught for the most part. I have been playing to a single digit handicap for the last fifteen years and have been skeptical of golf lessons. Recently, I was introduced to the crew at UGP and had the opportunity to undergo a ten week training session. I decided to give it a shot. Chad showed me some things with my golf swing and made improvements at many levels. I thoroughly enjoyed our sessions at UGP and looked forward to each week. They made it fun. I also had Matt do a club fitting for me and am enjoying the new set of clubs, as they fit my height, swing, and form much better. I highly recommend UGP for anyone who wants to improve their game and have a great time doing it.

Would have never guess from the outside how impressive, well kept, clean, modern, and spacious it is inside.
Came in here to get an assessment. I am a personal trainer so I have some knowledge about anatomy and biomechanics but what Evan thaught me today was almost enlightening. This guy is full of information and he knows how to apply it, customed to you.
The staff was also very friendly and I’ll definitely be coming back here again. If you are serious about golf, or wants the best for training, pain reduction, or just move better to improve the quality of your life I highly recommend to check this place out.

Urban Golf is by far first class, top-​notch quality training. One of the many things that differentiate this place from others is their use of the most advanced technology. They offer an unmatched in depth assessment of the swing, witch includes fitness, mobility, strength and my entire body in general. Here’s the thing, you want to get better at golf and you just can’t seem to break through certain barriers. Enter UGP and Kris Brennan. I have been put on a path to nothing but success because of Kris. I achieved all of last years goals by applying his teachings. Lowered my putts per round and dropped my handicap by 8 strokes. Next step is to get fit.

Evan Flock and the rest of the crew at UGP completely changed the way I look at strength, alignment, fitness, and my body in general. They use amazing technology along with their personal expertise to offer unmatched individual attention that really accesses the root of any physical inhibitions.
For me, that was lower back, hip, and knee pain, which I had always looked at as a mystery stemming from the fact that I’ve been dancing all my life. Evan had me stand on a force plate to uncover my postural imbalances (which were drastic!) We used anatomy in motion and neurokinetic therapy to figure out how to bring me back to center through retraining my body’s patterns of movement.
By the time I had returned home, there was a personal email waiting for me outlining a detailed overview of what was discovered during my session, my «homework» until next session, and some inspiration (as if I wasn’t feeling inspired enough!).
Beyond the great experience, UGP is an extremely neat and thoughtfully designed facility with free parking. I will definitely be returning.

The staff at Urban Golf Performance (UGP) are all top notch. The dedicated team is laser focused on helping you improve not only your golf game, but also your overall health. I frequently rave about the staff and have recommended UGP to all of my friends. In addition, they know all of their clients by name and greet you every time you walk in. That level of sincerity and intimacy is unparalleled at any of the other big name workout gyms.
In particular, I would like to give a shout out to my personal trainer — Evan Flock. I have had the pleasure of working out with Evan since he was the top trainer at Equinox Westwood, and transitioned over with him to UGP where he is now the Director of Fitness. Evan has been instrumental in helping me get my body back in shape. Evan is constantly working to improve his knowledge of fitness and he is 100% dedicated to being the best trainer so he can help you improve your life. He attends more conferences, gets more certifications, and researches nutrition more than anybody else I know.

P. S. The one caveat I will call out is that their parking lot is small so can get filled pretty quickly; however, there is ample street parking around the area.

I cannot say enough good things about Evan and the entire team at UGP. I only come in to train with him, but each and every one of the golf trainers know me by name and greet me every time I walk in. That personal touch goes a long way.
I’ve been training with Evan for quite a while. Started with him when he was the top trainer at Equinox. Once he moved to UGP, I moved right with him, and even got my husband to train with him. I’ve had many trainers in the past, but Evan has been my favorite so far. He has so much knowledge about the structures and functions of the human body. And he is constantly improving on that knowledge by attending seminars and lectures teaching him about the latest findings and techniques.
Before he begins a program with you, he will evaluate you literally from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head and come up with a plan that’s custom tailored to both what you want and what your body needs. During training his entire focus is on you. He scrutinizes every movement, making sure each rep of each set is done in perfect form. And most important, he keeps it fun. The session goes by super fast (on most days!) and I always leave pouring sweat.
He has definitely made a huge difference not only in my strength and physique, but also in my daily movements. I’ve become more aware of my body and what it can and can’t do. Thanks Evan!

The Urban golf people made my first experience a distant memory, as I got an excellent club fitting session with Matt yesterday.
