Smogs Just Smogs

Got there a bit after 8:15 — hours listed are 8 – 6. After waiting five minutes, the guy shows up and gestures for me to go into the bay. I do. Then he asks if I can come back in 30 minutes, because he needs to calibrate the system. I look reluctant (I had nowhere to go for 30 minutes), and then he says come back around noon, or well, he’s open until 6. What?
I promptly drove to the Smogs Just Smogs only 3 minutes away on Gateway and Pico and was served promptly.
If you’re not ready when your hours say you are, and there are literally 5 businesses WITH THE SAME NAME, not to mention offering the same services, within 5 miles, don’t expect me to wait around for you to get ready for customers.

I didn’t have an appointment. It cost me $ 65 and 20 minutes. It’s on the SW corner of Barrington and Olympic. I don’t know what else to say

I drove past it several times looking for a sign. It’s actually on the corner of Barrington and Olympic, and it’s part of a Mercedes body shop.
I called ahead and they said there were two cars ahead of me, so to come by in an hour. I did, and there was nobody in line. No wait, just while they checked the car which passed easily. Maybe about 20 – 25 minutes. It is a really tiny parking lot though, so I definitely would call ahead to make sure there’s room.
Nice guys, one offered to fix my headlight, but I am strapped for money this month, so I didn’t take him up on it. It’s funny though, ’cause he’s the first mechanic to point out it was messed up; I just haven’t had the time or forget that it’s not quite right.
Oh, and I used my coupon from smogtips, so the whole shebang came to $ 50 even.
