Bed Bath & Beyond

I come here on a weekly basis because there’s not a Target anywhere in my area, and they have a huge selection of toiletries, makeup and personal hygiene essentials. Though they don’t really offer any sales on most of these items, I find that their prices are often a bit cheaper than Target. Plus, they send you 20% off coupons constantly in the mail and via email if you sign up on their website, so the value you get at this store is great!
They’re open late (and had extended late hours over the holidays), so it’s convenient to come after work and the gym.
They also added a new food and wine section, which usually has abundant free samples. Who doesn’t love that?!
Their staff is generally pretty friendly too! I had to order a gift off a wedding registry last year, and the woman who assisted me was great.
Now for the bad…
The parking situation here is a nightmare. They have a free structure off of a busy stretch of Olympic (good luck making it here during rush hour traffic!). The structure is cramped, and cars drive through it like maniacs. The top level is generally a better bet than the first, but I find that there’s always a ton of cars and traffic. Not ideal, but at least the parking’s free.
The store itself is always understaffed. No matter what time of day I come here, they never have enough registers open and I end up waiting in line for 20 – 30 minutes. Right before Christmas, I needed to return a gift that I had found cheaper on Amazon. The line for returns was almost out the door, and they only had two people working at the counter to help. It was a madhouse! Even if you just need to buy one or two items, expect to be here for awhile because the lines take forever! Occasionally they’ll have an express line, but people abuse their express line privileges and bring an entire cart full of items.
I can’t quite give this Bed Bath & Beyond a 3-​Star rating, because the parking and lack of staffing really makes coming here something I dread doing. I’d say a 2.5, though Unilocal doesn’t allow half ratings. Unfortunately, coming here is a necessity to stock up on all of my health and beauty essentials at good prices.

This place is terrible upon check out. Anytime you go there, anytime of day, it is awful and believe me I know. I have tried all days all different times and they never have enough folks checking people out at the registers. It is ridiculous. This store is too rich not to provide enough workers to promote better customer service at the check out lines for their very loyal patrons.
