This review is long overdue. Leah was my go-​to dog walker while I had a long-​term foster doggie, and she was the best! She was so loving with him (he was a blind, deaf senior with potty issues in his older days); I trusted her completely. She even sent me photos of him on their walks or once he was back at home relaxing.

I am so happy to find TK with Out on a Leash. Her space is a perfect fit for my little buddy! I am particular about who watches him; I interviewed so many people for daycare and was about at the end of my rope before finally discovering Out on a Leash.
TK understands dog behavior and introduced him calmly and gradually to the pack so he wasn’t overwhelmed with a bunch of dogs greeting him all at once. I can tell Bean loves it there too — he runs up to TK when I drop him off, and he is happy & calm when I pick him up. I get photos and videos during the day, and he’s as happy as a clam. He gets plenty of outdoor sniff-​time, sunbeam time, love-​scritches, and fuzzy bed naps. I’m pleased how flexible she has been for pick-​up and drop-​off times as well. Thanks for being an awesome sitter!

In all aspects of their business they treat their customers (furry or not) with professionalism and kindness. They are so flexible with scheduling and last-​minute needs, and can also accommodate weekend trips, visiting three-​times daily to sit with your pooch, feed them, and even bring in your mail! I met Leah while taking a friend’s dog on a visit to the dog park. Shortly after, we got our own dog, a French bulldog pup named Milo (mid-​Dec 2012). Out on a leash has been there since the first weeks and it has been almost a year. First we had Kevin, who helped milo learn to climb stairs and get used walking on a leash on his noontime potty breaks. For the last 8 months Holly has been taking him on his lunch time break /​walk, ending with a snack and cuddle time. Holly text updates with pictures, and that is something I look forward to at work everyday! It is also nice to have someone who knows your pup and has experience with dogs to go to with questions about food, vets and advice in general (saying this from the perspective of someone with her first pup!). It can be a long workday and it is nice to know your furbaby isn’t all alone for 8+ hours.
I highly recommend out on a leash, they are friendly, dependable and I know Milo sees holly as a big part of his life.

Where to start with Out On A Leash? They are simply the best there is. We adopted little Louie last month and needed someone to come and love/​walk him while my husband and I are at work during the day. Not only does TK love on Louie like he’s her own, she has gone above and beyond to help us out in every way. There are inevitably questions and problems that come up with a new puppy. TK is like our fairy dogmother, pointing us in the right direction, offering tips, coming through in emergencies and just generally being wonderfully supportive. I can’t imagine a better person to take care of your best friend!

I am a super fussy dog mom and while this is great for my dog, it meant if he couldn’t go with me on vacation I couldn’t go either. I don’t care for the big warehouse style day care centers or my dog being crated most of the time, so I had to stay home with him. I want him to be treated like part of the family. I found Leah through a referral and she has been walking my dog regularly for almost two years now, and he stays with her pack when we are out of town on vacation, yay! I get photos and updates on walks and overnights, and Josh is always smiling and it makes my day! I swear for a mama’s boy he doesn’t seem to miss me at all. She gives him plenty of love and attention so he is one content kid. She also checks his food and freshens his water on days when she walks him, and makes sure he hasn’t had an accident, and if so cleans it up instead of leaving it for me to find later.
Leah is very dog savvy and lets me know immediately if Josh seems at all off. One time he was really scratching at his ear and I was able to treat it before he needed an expensive trip to the vet. I like the fact that she is insured and bonded and certified in CPR. I feel this is very important these days. The prices are competitive and her level of service is above and beyond. I have needed to have Josh walked unexpectedly when I had to stay late at work, and Leah has always managed to fit him in. One time I needed medication picked up before my doctor’s office closed and I was stuck in 405 traffic, so Leah offered to pick it up for me, which is amazing. I really appreciate that dogs in her care are treated like family, and I highly recommend Leah and Out On A Leash for responsible, reliable and thoughtful service and care.
I just wanted to add that as it is coming up on almost a year since I first posted this review, I am still super happy. Leah has helped me improve Josh’s diet and I can see the difference in how much healthier he is now by how thick and shiny his coat is, and how much better his breath smells! Yay!

Out On A Leash was my first dog walking service and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. My schedule is constantly changing Julie/​Leah always happily work with me with adding and changing walks. I especially like getting picture updates after the walk knowing my dog was walked.

Spud’s favorite part of the day is hanging out with Leah at lunchtime. She walks our dog daily and gives him (and our 2 cats) lots of lovin’. Best of all, she sends us an email every day letting us know how the walk went along with a picture… we really appreciate that attention and care! We highly recommend you call Leah if you are looking for trusted, consistent high quality dog care.

I first met Leah before I even got my dog, Murray. She lives in my neighborhood and fosters dogs for a local rescue and happened to be by my apartment at the time, taking her then-​foster on a walk. A few months after meeting her, we wound up getting Murray, and I’d see her semi-​frequently walking her dogs (handsome Hunter & gorgeous Georgia) and her fosters. I soon learned that Leah does dog sitting & dog walking.
When J & I went out of town in June, we needed someone to watch our little guy. He goes to dog daycare regularly, but since we’d be gone for 4 nights, I felt a bit more comfortable having him in a homey environment. If your dog gets along okay with hers then he/​she can stay at her home, but otherwise she can stay overnight at your place. Murray had so much fun with the group of little ones at her house when he stayed, that he showed no signs of separation anxiety when we came to pick him up! And Leah sent us daily updates and pictures of him playing to let us know that he was doing just fine. Since our stay, he’s also gone over there on two «playdates» (when we had long days at work ahead) and is always really happy. It’s so nice & convenient having a great dogsitter in our neighborhood — and, not to mention, her prices are on-​par with most of the local dog daycares.
I highly recommend Leah. She is a really great person and clearly loves dogs… and takes great care of them! Whenever I see her, regardless of whether she’s out with her own dogs, a foster, or a dog she’s walking/​sitting, she treats them as her own. Since staying with her, Murray completely adores Leah and says that I must give her two paws up!

I spent four months in Germany and my girl friend works late. Leah took care of our dog and cat every day during that period and while we were on vacations — we never had to worry, even when we were both gone for two or more weeks. She is 100% reliable and I strongly recommend her to anyone who loves their pets as much as we do.

Leah is absolutely wonderful! She has been walking /​pet sitting my dog for over 9 months and I have never met a more dependable and trustworthy person. My dog never seems to miss me when I’m out of town, so I know he gets the attention he needs, plus I get daily updates from Leah with a picture of what he’s been up to. :) She is extremely thoughtful and takes extra care to make sure my dog is well cared for. I couldn’t ask for a better dog walker or sitter. Thanks Leah!!!

I’ve had several dogs over the years and Leah is by far the best dog walker/​pet sitter I’ve ever used. She takes GREAT care of the dogs… and even sends you pix from the walk along with a details of what happened. She’s also stayed over night at our house and taken care of all of our animals and did a terrific job. She is smart, reliable, conscientious, a cut above any dog walker I have used. She genuinely loves dogs, even volunteers at a pet rescue and fosters dogs waiting for adoption. I couldn’t have asked for better service. She had her hands full, too, with our 2 Jack Russell/​Corgi mix puppies and it didn’t even phase her!
