Not a good experience with Dr. Weiss. The wait at the office visits were too long; I ended up needing surgery on my toe, where Dr. Weiss was very late arriving for the surgery (the nurses kept me preserved under the warm blankets in the chilly OR until the doctor arrived); then the front desk/​billing people in this office were either incompetent or careless in that they gave me blatantly incorrect information about my insurance coverage, and then there were ongoing snafus on the billing once it was done. I will not be returning to this office.

I went to see Dr. Weiss as a second opinion regarding an ingrown toenail issue, and he’s been fantastic! He’s got a fantastic bedside manner and is exceptionally competent! If you are having a foot issue, I would highly recommend Dr. Weiss!

I went to see Dr. Weiss for a second opinion on a Jone’s Fracture. When my doctor told me I had a Jone’s Fracture she highly recommended surgery and even scheduled me for the next day. I went to Dr. Weiss who is my husbands doctor and he was shocked that my doctor recommended surgery. He put my foot in a cast and later a boot. Five and a half weeks later I was walking again. I am so thankful that I went to see him and avoided surgery. He is a very honest and caring doctor. You don’t find doctors like him these days. They are all in it for the money. Dr. Weiss is in it to help you! Don’t think twice about going to see him.

I saw Dr. Tseng for an ingrown toenail. I was seen the same day I called. He was super nice, and ‘cool’ for a doctor. He laughed at my dumb jokes as he numbed my toe. I didn’t expect it to take so long to heal, so don’t go there if you need to wear fancy shoes at some point. And remember to wear sandals!
Update: It’s been a few months and my toenail grew back! It hurts like hell again and the procedure was too traumatic (I’d rather have sex with Michael Moore) to go back to him or any other doctor. My toe will be permanently messed up b/​c I can’t endure the pain to fix it again. :(
Update 2: The girls in billing didn’t graduate elementary school. It took them almost 8 months to understand that my health insurance was not California and out of state. They constantly left me messages saying «give us your credit card number so we can resolve this mmmk?» How about no, you take a look at the insurance card you have on file and bill the correct insurance company? Finally, Vanessa realized that she was being a dumb and took care of it. What a bitch.

I was really upset that Dr. Weiss didn’t tell me I’d end up paying for the X-​rays. He took the X-​rays as a matter of course, and his attitude made me assume they were covered here the way they’re covered at the dentist’s office. If I’d had any indication that insurance wouldn’t cover the whole thing, I would have asked the price, called my insurance, and then made an informed decision as to whether it was worth it (or at least not been surprised to be smacked with a bill). On top of that, he messed up my X-​rays and put them under another person’s name.
I saw him because of extreme foot pain when I did certain exercises, and he recommended custom-​made orthotics that would have cost me at least $ 300 even after insurance paid their share. Then I did some research and realized in many cases similar to mine, a store brand such as Superfeet ($ 35) works just as well. So I got those and haven’t had any problems since. If you look online, you’ll see other patients’ podiatrists recommend they buy a store brand, or tell them to buy a store-​sold orthotic that can be brought to the podiatrist to slightly customize, which costs far less than the $ 300+ I would have paid had I gone with Dr. Weiss. I feel cheated that he didn’t even mention non-​custom orthotics as an option.
Yes, my fault for not doing the research or consulting with insurance ahead of time (but I simply wasn’t expecting the X-​rays).

Really nice doctor. Came in for foot pain after training for a marathon. He took x-​rays in his office and showed them to me on the spot, explaining what was wrong and how to correct it. After my first podiatrist recommended an extremely expensive MRI after barely glancing at my feet, I was happy to find Dr. Weiss.

Dr. Weiss was recommended to me by my internist four years ago when I was in a dire situation. He performed an intricate surgery to repair a botched surgery from a specialist from another hospital. I recently had to have the same surgery on my right foot and Dr. Weiss performed the surgery flawlessly. I had very challenging issues with my feet and never thought I would walk with out pain and I am walking, exercising and no longer in pain. Aside from being a superb doctor, his bedside manor is the best ever. He is kind and caring and makes you feel at ease.

I was referred to Dr. Weiss by my personal doctor and was very pleased with the experience. He saw me right away, put me at ease with his warm sense of humor and fixed the problem without any fuss or drama. i went from hardly able to walk to «running» around the office in less tan 30 minutes. He totally rocks!

Personal profile: 31 year-​old recreational marathoner hoping to break 3:40 in the next few years.
Ailment: Hip pain on the left side, burning calluses on the ball of my left foot, lots of calluses on my left foot but minor on my right.
Reason for going: NY Marathon in three weeks so I’d better take care of these calluses or I’m going to be in pain for 26.2 miles.

Dr. Weiss, like everyone has said, has a really fantastic, funny and sweet personality. Instead of some doctors who look more at your chart, he actually really looked at my feet. He gave me some relief that I didn’t have foot fungus and shaved off several of the calluses. He also realized that my left leg was JUUUUST a smidge longer than my right, which was most likely the cause of all of my pain on the left side. So we put in a temporary pad in the heel of my right foot and voila… no pain.
So I came back after a week and we ordered some orthotics. I hope to be a marathoner for a few more years so I prefer prevention over emergencies, even if it makes me feel old for having them.
Both appointments were quick quick quick but they made me feel like I got real service versus being rushed out. The front desk attendants are also very nice. I go to another specialist where I can barely stand to talk to the front desk. So it definitely helps the atmosphere. They also got me in the same day I called and my second appointment was early enough that I didn’t miss too much work.
Getting there can be a bit of a hassle if I’m coming from work. You can’t make a left hand turn off of Olympic so you have to go all the way around to Santa Monica. That’s the only downside, and having to pay for parking. But I think I got a parking ticket at the last podiatrist I went to see, so I guess it’s worth it.

Dr. Weiss made two sets of orthotics for different shoes and that bought some time, but it was soon necessary to correct a botched surgery by another doctor as I was in pain. He is such a wonderful and funny guy and a no-​nonsense doctor. He corrected the problelms and is very diligent with follow-​up. He is there for us whenever you need him. If ONLY I had gone to him at the beginning but I am grateful I finally found him. Several friends recommended him so highly, I could not resist! Thank You Dr. Weiss! Charlene Sax

Nice modern office. I felt like my feet were in good hands.
I will report back again after I try out my orthotics.
Regarding parking, here is the scoop. The parking lot next door is $ ²⁄₁₅ minutes. If you feel you will be more than an hour, it may be worth using that. However, valet parking downstairs as Kelly pointed out is only $ 9 which isn’t that bad. Kelly may have hit a bad elevator day. I’ve been there twice now and had no issue.
February 5: Here’s my Update:
My orthotics worked out perfectly on the first try. I do some type of high impact exercise every day — often singles tennis. After a brief settling n period — my feet always feel good during and after that activity.
I have met Dr. Tseng and I’m sure that he does excellent work as well. Nothing less would be permitted in this office. I recommend these doctors without reserve.

Doctor? He’s a podiatrist.
Lucky for me Jerry’s not around to tell me even GEORGE got into podiatry school. I was super pleased to know that Dr. Weiss went to podiatry school and he was kind to me and my feet.
You don’t always want to admit that you’re getting older and might need to see someone like a podiatrist to help you deal with a little piggie pain or footie fungus, but if you are ready to take the next step in the aging grief cycle and go see someone, Dr. Weiss would be a good person to call.
I’m an avid runner and have been dealing with some serious foot pain for more than a year. Despite some orthotics created just for me by another doc back east, they really weren’t cuttin’ it. So I went to see Mark. His office staff was friendly and they honor my BCBS health insurance.
They subscribe to the same magazines I do (Time, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly), so I knew I was in good hands. This wasn’t a place where you wait and wait to see the doctor. I was in and out in very little time and I am looking forward to eliminating the foot pain.
The one reason there are only 4 stars here is that the elevators are slower than a grandmother sloth and there’s no option to take the stairs… and parking in the hospital complex in Century City cost me $ 10! (It’s actually $ 9 but I gave the valet guy who drove my car the extra lone single, otherwise I feel like a ninny). Next time I got I’ll park in the lot next door and walk over to the hospital complex.
