Best rheumatologist in LA. Highly recommended! Very compassionate, thorough, and caring. Can’t ask for more in a Doctor.

Dr. Yousefi is kind, caring and compassionate. He has a comforting demeanor and he genuinely cares about her patients. His secretary Melanie is very nice and competent as well. The wait was reasonable for a good doctor, I waited about 20 minutes to see him. I will certainly keep going to him. I hope this review is helpful to someone.

Dr. Yousefi is fantastic. He is tentative, knowledgeable and efficient. He listens to you and respects your opinion and thoughts about your own body. He has excellent bedside manners. His office is clean and sterile and his nursing staff are great. I highly recommend him!

Just beware!!! I had called and made sure they were in-network for my insurance. They assured me that they were, so I booked an appointment. The doctor was pleasant enough and ran blood work. He called me a few days later and told me the results. I had no problems with them until… a few months later, I get my explanation of benefits from my insurance company. On my EOB, this doctor was non– participating network and the charge was for $ 540 for what 10 minutes of this guys time? Really!!! I was confused and called my insurance. I have great insurance that covers everything at 80%. I spoke with my insurance who decided to investigate why this discrepancy. They were able to find out that he has not been a participating provider for the past 5 years! He and his office staff should have known better and not have lied to me. My insurance called the doctors office for me to clear this up because they felt that it was not an appropriate action for a doc. According to this wonderful insurance rep, the doctor himself claimed to have informed me that I would not be covered which is an outright lie. Why in the world would I go to him if he was not in-network? He is not some amazing, renown doc. He is not the only internist or rheumatologist in LA. Well, my rep told him«Well she(me) would not have gone to you if you had told her that you were out of network. The patient(me) is very upset about this.» She then told him that he had to do something about it. She kept on him. So he finally agreed to waive my deductible amount. Still leaves me about $ 150 to pay out of pocket. Ridiculous!!! Usually, it $ 30 – 50 for an office visit so it’s a lot more. Thank goodness for my insurance rep who stepped in. She was awesome! But will never go to this guy again.
