Carolyn Conboy, DO

Dr. Carolyn Conboy is the best. She is a true artist and delivers excellent results. She has a way a looking at your facial features and knows where and what is needed. She is also conservative. She listens and then gives her recommendations. Trust her you will be in excellent hands. I myself have been practicing aesthetics for 14 years and I will only go to her. Plus she is really nice.

Run, run, run from this Doctor. I went to her 6 months ago and she is a whack job. She has an over done look which is quite sad, as she used to be a normal looking person from the picture on her brochures. She charged me triple what I had been quoted at the front desk. When I protested she claimed they were misinformed. Horrible experience and costly!

Were there an opportunity to rate this doctor at zero stars, I would have chosen that.
I got an uneasy feeling when I first met Dr. Conboy when she said, «I do my own facial work,» but I stayed in her office anyway. «I’m only getting a little Botox done,» I thought to myself, «How bad can it be?» Wrong question. A week later and I have a severely droopy eyebrow. I phoned the doctor and asked her to help — I know, my idiocy seems to know no bounds; I was going back to the cause of my problem for its solution, but I digress. So I phoned the doctor and asked for help. She informed me that she could inject my eyelid itself and that would hopefully counter-​balance the droopy eyelid. Or (GET THIS) she could LOWER THE OTHER ONE SO THAT IT DROOPED, TOO. Hey, I’m no physician, but that sounded stupid/​dangerous, so I told her I’d have to get back to her.
Promptly I phoned Allergan, the makers of Botox, and asked them if injecting my eyelid directly sounded reasonable. They informed me that not only was it not reasonable, but it was dangerous. They informed me that if she injected my eyelid there was a chance that my eyelid would never open again, and worse yet (it could get worse?) AND, they told me, should there be a «mis-​injection» I would risk permanent blindness. I phoned Dr. Conboy again, told her I didn’t want her remedy, and I asked for a refund. She declined.
Enough is enough.
I decided to suffer through the 4 months or so that I’ll have a droopy eyelid. It’ll be a constant reminder to honor my instincts.
Some of you may think I’m a fool to even try Botox; I won’t argue with you. I’m…let’s just say, «of a certain age,» and I thought it would help. I’ve realized I’d rather just look like myself — regardless of my age — than, well, looking like Dr. Carolyn Conboy’s patient.
PLEASE, do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY.
