I’m currently sitting on the porch trying to work but too distracted by my appreciation of the treetop views, the silence that’s only broken by the happy chirping birds, and the pup sunbathing looking as happy as can be. I was spoiled in that a friend recommended Alison to me as someone she found after having tried multiple realtors so that I didn’t have to! My boyfriend and I were aimlessly going to open houses without a realtor and we probably would have continued to do that for a while had we not met Alison and Jason. They were very knowledgeable of the market and kept us focused even though we faltered along the way. They indulged our hesitation — let us make an offer on a house in the valley when we felt NELA was too hot for us (reluctance to fight multiple bids) — but ultimately helped us find our way back because we were meant to be in HP! I just wanted to mention that because I think it is an important trait for your realtor to respect your decision and work around your crazies without making you at all feel crazy :). We had a great experience working with Alison and Jason Huddy on the purchase of our first home. The Huddys previewed listings before they hit the MLS and provided personalized feedback tailored to our preferences. Alison and Jason are extremely knowledgeable of the Los Angeles market and the complexities of the various points of negotiation that got our offer accepted once we found the right property. During and beyond escrow, they pushed the inspection and paperwork process along so that it felt quite effortless for us. Above all else, Alison and Jason were encouraging and honest throughout our search. They were wonderful advocates for us, and we feel fortunate to have had them on our side.

Alison and Jason are the dream team. literally if you were to dream what your ideal realtors would be like — they would be it. Its hard for me to use the word realtor really as they have become friends. Alison helped me and my fiancée buy our dream house. She thought i was insane as as soon as i saw it, i told her «this is our house.» She did all the responsible things like warning me it could go to massive bids (it did) and i should be prepared not to spend too much for what it was worth. All the sensible things i wasn’t capable of at the time. I could bore you with the logistics but i wont. She rocked in every way and continues to as a personal friend. You would be lucky to have them!

I don’t have enough kind words for Alison and Jason. We have bought two houses and sold one with this team. They are knowledgable and have so many resources to help you buy and/​or sell. Their recommendations on brokers, estimators, repairmen, etc… are spot on! They have such an amazing handle on the market, you will get the most for your money! And they are the best at making you feel at ease. The whole home-​buying process can be so stressful but they were amazing at making us feel comfortable and advocated for. Use them! You will not be sorry!

Alison and Jason found me my beautiful home in Silverlake that I love so much. I was in the UK for all of escrow and Alison managed everything for me with such care consideration and patience. She made sure I was aware of every deadline and managed all the paper work for me which I could not have done from afar. Alison has great taste, understands what people want and has a really great knowledge of LA and what price is fair. I always felt she had my best interests at heart and I could 100% trust her to give her honest opinion. Above all she made the process fun and enjoyable and now has become a great friend.

A friend had referred me to Alison, saying «You want to buy on the east side, you gotta use Alison. She’s the queen of the east side.» And that she is. They are a great duo and are experts in the East Side LA housing market. We were first time home buyers, and were overwhelmed by the LA market. Every house in our price range was also being looked at by hundreds of other people. Alison and Jason helped answered our emails and calls day and night, helped us find a house in the neighborhood we wanted to be in, and negotiated a deal where we were able to buy a house below asking price. We also closed in less than 30 days. If/​when we sell/​buy another home we will be calling the Huddys.

Alison Huddy and her husband Jason are great real estate agents. Their expertise is in Northeast Los Angeles (Atwater, Echo Park, Silver Lake, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, & more). I originally started looking for a property at the beginning of 2015 with a different agent and made many, many offers that were all rejected. I felt as though something was missing in the process — the previous agent didn’t give me very good tips/​advice during our trips to open houses, and she also was not able to make it to more than half of the open houses I wanted to see.
Alison, on the other hand, made herself very available to me which was extremely important especially as I was a first time homebuyer. She filtered out houses that she thought would meet my criteria and even went ahead to see the houses before we went together. As you can imagine, this saved me a lot of time as I’m usually not able to see any open houses during the weekday due to work. She gave me tips that were definitely helpful — tips on whether the house would be easy to sell in the future, tips on location of property, etc. To top it off, she has a great bubbly personality that makes you love seeing her every single weekend for those open houses.
In the end, her many years of experience helped me to purchase a house of my dreams, in less than 2 months of working together! She used several tactics that I found very smart. IMAGINE if I had started off with her! Throughout the very stressful escrow process, Alison was there with me every step — from inspections to loan appraisal.

We met Alison about a year and a half into our search for our first house. My wife and I had been scouring Redfin and mostly going it alone until some friends who recently bought raved about her. We gave her a call and met at a Starbucks in the neighborhood we were searching in and described, in somewhat vague «we kinda know what we think we want» terms, the sort of thing we were looking for. Alison understood and immediately sent us some listings that were all pretty much exactly what we had talked about but also had charm and character beyond the «must haves» we had mentioned. Over the months that followed, I would say that the houses Alison showed us were MUCH closer to what we wanted every time than anything we dug up on our own that looked promising. Also, on an number of open houses we went to we were prepped with agent, background, neighborhood, information we couldn’t have gotten on Redfin. Many listings we went to the agent either knew who she was or had heard of her, which made us feel confident in her network. We definitely felt we had an inside track.
We were looking in the Highland Park /​Eagle Rock area. It was a tough market in our price range (550−650k) and we made several offers, each one was within the ballpark and we had several counters due to the strong terms Alison recommended. She worked very closely with our loan officer at Wells Fargo to ensure all the contingencies we put forth could be honored by the bank. We used a different guy than she had recommended because we had specific loan needs and he was known for being good in our particular situation. He was impressed and kept telling us we had a great agent and she was very easy to work with. Alison handled all our inspections as we have a very tight work schedule, and gave us full reports on all of it. Telling us what needed further investigation and what didn’t. Ultimately she was able to use that information to get us a whopping seller credit, enough to re-​plumb the entire place! We were kept informed with regular updates on everything just about every other day. Alison and her husband, Jason were a pleasure to work with and we’ve already given her info out to several people just starting their search. A great experience all around!

My husband and I initially met with a different realtor in Silver Lake when we decided to buy a house — he was recommended and nice, but sent us the same automated listings we were seeing ourselves on Redfin. We are new home owners and had questions; we needed someone to guide us. She really took the time to understand who we are and what we were looking for — a truly personal experience — but what makes Alison special goes way beyond that. Her vast knowledge of the market and the areas that she represents — down to every street. The way she fought for us and guided us to make the right decisions, both financially and emotionally. Her tough negotiating skills. She’s a true professional and a star. I can’t imagine going through this process with anyone else!

Alison was super patient with me and really stayed positive over out long search. We were first time home buyers and admittedly not the easiest of clients and we really appreciated her sticking it out with us and never letting our negativity effect her. We looked in many price points and several neighborhoods that were not easy but she was always helpful with great insight. Alison helped my boyfriend and I (and our pup-​sons Glenn and Murray) purchase our first home. As first time homebuyers, we were literally clueless as to what the process entailed, and we simply couldn’t have done it without her. She is knowledgable, passionate, patient, positive, and most importantly honest. As newbies to home buying we had lots of questions, and of course were a bit trigger shy when it came to taking the big plunge. Alison walked us through the process, gave us her honest pros and cons on each place we looked at, and ultimately got us into the perfect house for us. We’ve lived in our new place since September and we couldn’t be happier. We’re so grateful to have found Alison.

Maybe you will be like me — clueless, overwhelmed, and unnerved, the sweat from your palms seeping through the 10 pamphlets from the 10 open houses you’ve been to in 3 hours. But hopefully you will find Alison, and she will guide you out of that dark tunnel.
Alison Huddy is the best. She’s personable, patient, smart, funny, magnetic, and completely dedicated to helping her clients find their perfect match. Going into it, I had no idea, except that I wanted to live on the East Side. Alison helped me do my homework. She’s never pushy, and she answers every call. She has a thorough understanding of the East Side and the market in general, and has worked with international clients before. And she’s on good terms with other realtors. Alison has great taste and is extremely discerning — she only sent me houses that she knew I would like. Making the decision to buy a house is super scary. I’m not sure if it ever gets easier, but as a first-​time buyer it certainly seems like a stressful and confusing process. Not exactly something you’re excited to spend your weekends worrying about.

Our first meeting set the tone for how the process was gonna be with Alison. Instead of meeting at her fancy office, she suggested we meet at a local neighborhood spot, The Hermasillo on York Blvd. We had a beer, talked about our hopes and dreams, about why we wanted to buy a house, what we wanted in a house, where we wanted to look, and so on and so forth. The relaxed atmosphere and Alison’s awesome personality immediately brought the terrifying ‘house buying process’ to a very comfortable and even exciting level. It was a genius way of connecting with us as ‘people’ rather than just as ‘clients’ and I think it gave her a much better foundation for helping us figure out exactly what we wanted and how she could make that happen with us.
Not only did we love hanging out with Alison — and occasionally her equally awesome realtor husband Jason — when we were looking at houses, we also trusted her 100% professionally. She answered our thousands of questions patiently and in a language we — as first-​time buyers — could understand, she connected us with trustworthy and hardworking contractors, mortgage lenders, inspectors, etc, and when we found the house we wanted, she put together an expertly crafted offer well within our budget. She then proceeded to sweet-​talk the seller into accepting, even though our offer wasn’t the highest bid $-wise.
Without the shadow of a doubt, Alison will be handling all our future real estate transactions. She’s the best. Buying a house was much easier than we thought — it was even fun!
