I just needed some DVD duplicates of family videos in time for Christmas but was worried about how long it would take/​how expensive that would be. I found Advanced Media & Mail just down the street from me and they got the whole job done in a day for a very reasonable price! And I even could buy the perfect size box for mailing them while I was there. Recommend!

these guys hooked it up with some old vhs tapes which were very nostalgic to me. was able to get them into quicktime files at a very reasonable rate. good people also. highly recommend for any needs, including post production.

I had been looking for a place in town to convert my VHS tapes to DVD.
I found «Advanced Media» — and I’ve become a customer, several times over.
Why? Because of their excellent customer-​service (Jesse is always very helpful & friendly).
Jewel cases & professional labeling are included in their reasonable prices.
They are also open on Saturdays!
Located in a strip mall on the SW corner of Fairfax Ave. & Oakwood — Free parking in the lot.

Excellent service and prices are very competitive. I had a routine family VHS to transfer to DVD + extra copies for family members. Work was done efficiently and a nice label and jewel box provided for each add’l copy, which at 5 bucks each, is very fair.

I usually don’t go out of my way to write a review but this necessary. I used the video transfer services to have some old Super 8 family videos converted to digital so that I could edit them and give them
as gifts to my grandparents. The first time I came here everything was fine, and they charged by time/​size so each 3 minute reel was about $ 10 or so. Fine.
I came back with 10 of the same size super 8 reels, and in a month’s time the price went up to $ 15 per reel. Point 1. Then, due to me being on tour I was unable to pick up my order until just now in January 2015. I took them in to be transferred in June 2014. Tell me why, I drove from San Fernando for an hour to get here and pick up my tapes and not only have they NOT been converted after I was called in August saying they were ready… (Points 2 and 3) But I am now sitting here waiting for an hour plus for them to convert them now. No partial refund was offered, no future coupon… nothing. Just a lame «sorry bout that.» What. Now, I’ve been calling to make sure they were ready, they said yes. Turns out the files had been deleted… When I called and talked to the guy at the front desk… why didn’t he say well, after 90 days or 60 days or whatever we usually delete the files? That’s all that needed to be said, then I could have arranged for someone else to come and get them. Instead he said, well you can come back tomorrow? I’m like… I like 45 – 60 min away, no. He then offered to ship them. What. I’m not about to risk losing half of our family home videos from my grandparents wedding anniversary when they were 20 years old in the mail. Disappointment.
However…I spoke with the manager, and he is very polite and accommodating. Because I was told that the files were ready and drove out here and they were not, and had actually been deleted and needed to be retransferred… he offered 10% off my next order as well as a DVD made of the videos and shipped to me free of charge. Very nice.

This place is excellent. I came in with a VHS home video from 2002. It was the only remaining copy. They transferred it over to DVD (and made 2 copies) in a matter of 20 minutes for me. Super friendly and super affordable. I will come back to transfer other movies when the need arises.

Isn’t it interesting when you walk into a business and walk out feeling as though you begged them to take your money. So I was there to rent a P.O.Box and not use their main tv/​film production services which could of been the reason for not feeling valued. After pointing out that a Unilocal deal did not state any limitations, after reassuring the owner that I would not place forwarding responsibilities on them AND after I insisted that the last $ 5 of the $ 30 for $ 50 deal was used on deposits for the mailbox, I spent an hour signing a packet of papers and left confused as to why this business discouraged doing business with someone who had a Unilocal voucher. MAKES NO CENTS, every pun intended.

Ask for Jessie! He is great! He’s very patient and informative! I was very impressed with the services offered. Not to mention the fact that you don’t have to wait for copies to be sent off, unlike most other VHS to DVD transfer companies around town. Very nice set up as well. Jessie was able to locate the news segments I needed on the VHS very quickly and without any issues. Will def refer my LA friends and fam to stop by!

Very impressed with the service and expediency of this local shop. I brought in two DVD’s to duplicate and my order was completed in about 1.5 days. Owner called me within hours of me dropping off the DVD’s to explain details about the duplication process. Given that I ordered multiple copies, the price of my order was lowered. I loved the final result. Support small businesses, especially those that provide attentive & thoughtful customer service!

KUDOS! I recently had to transfer an old VHS to DVD. Tracking was off for the VHS, and transfer quality had to be good because the video was for archival purposes. Jesse was able to fix the tracking and make a flawless copy to DVD, all within 72 hours. And the price was unbelievably reasonable. Needless to say, Advanced Media is my new go-​to spot for media transfer, duplication and editing!
