History

Established in 1987.

The business was started in 1983 by Craig Clark using the name «Craig’s Quality Movers». In 1986 Tim Gordon joined him and formed a partnership, briefly doing business as The Pilgrim Moving Co. before becoming A Better Way to Move in 1987.

For the first few years the two of them did most of the moving themselves, slowly taking on additional employees and carefully teaching the importance of taking care of the customers and their furniture and belongings.

The company operated from a store front on Venice Blvd from 1991 until 2004, when they moved to a warehouse near the 105 freeway.

Craig left the partnership in 1994 to join a seminary, leaving Tim Gordon as the sole owner.
