Howard helped us buy a house in December and we could not have been happier with his service. He was patient with the million questions we asked, always very timely in his communications, and generally went above and beyond. He seems to know every realtor and every corner of Mountain View and Los Altos. We submitted our offer close to midnight on a Friday because we had to squeeze the last visit to the property and the offer-​writing around work and kid commitments, and Howard was right there at our kitchen table happily walking us through documents. He provided good advice during the subsequent negotiation. We were really thrilled with his help (and the awesome house we bought! below list! in Mountain View! in 2015! seriously).
Also, a word for his team member Susan — so helpful! She helped us get a bunch of repairs, etc, lined up so we could move in as quickly as possible after close.

I recently needed to sell a condo I inherited after a death in the family. This was an emotionally stressful time, but when I first met with Howard I felt like he would make the process as easy and stress-​free as possible. And I was right! Howard took care of everything. The condo needed a lot of work to make it appealing to buyers, and he dealt with all the contractors and picked out all the finishes and fixtures. I never had to be there and was confident enough to leave town fior over a week while the work got underway. The transformation was amazing and we quickly received multiple excellent offers. Howard helped me choose the best one and everything went smoothly right through closing. I am thrilled with the outcome and with how pleasant the whole process was. I would definitely use his services for any future real estate needs.

We just purchased our first home with Howard’s help and I can’t say enough about how great he was to work with. We met Howard at an open house and could immediately tell he was different than other agents. He was extremely honest and knowledgeable, but wasn’t pushy or arrogant in any way. The current housing market is insane, but Howard continued to work with us and provide options within our budget without making us feel pressured in any way. When we went to open houses by ourselves and told the realtor we were working with Howard Bloom, more often than not the response was that we were in great hands. Turned out to be very true.
We also learned through the process that Howard would be an amazing listing agent. As we toured homes, he often pointed out simple, cheap fixes that other agents could have done to really improve the appeal of the home. Similarly, he helped us look through many of these cosmetic bandaids and really see potential issues and opportunities.
We don’t have any plans to sell our new house anytime soon, but if we do, we’ll certainly be going back to Howard.

Howard just sold my condo for me way over the asking price! He was very helpful and quick to complete the process of preparing, listing, and closing our place for sale. Our selling experience was very smooth and easy for me as he takes care of the tasks that are sellers responsibility. A couple of key services that Howard provides:
Preparation — Howard walk me through and advised what can be done to improve our place so as to make it more attractive to buyers.
Staging — Howard staged the place, and it made our place very presentable and beautiful for prospective buyers to consider.
Advertising — He plans for maximum exposure, and I believe it involved flyers, making other agents aware, and internet. Also, the brochure he made was professionally done.
Pricing — Howard is knowledgeable with the market to price the property optimally for traffic and profit to the seller.

Howard represented me 20 years ago when I bought my condo in Mountain View, and he just represented me when I sold it for a price significantly over asking. I selected him because I remembered that the condo purchase was smooth and effortless, and while there were a few more challenges with the sale, Howard had all the right information — he nailed how long the property would be on the market, for example — and he had all the right advice about what would maximize the attractiveness of the property to potential buyers. Not only that, but Howard had, at his fingertips, all the right people, from the stagers to the carpet layers to the painters, and he took care of scheduling them all. WIthin a week, the property was ready to show, and within another week, it had multiple offers, one of which I quickly accepted. Howard got me into my very first condo many years ago, and helped me sell it for way over the asking price. When we needed someone to help sell our rental property a little over a month ago, I knew Howard was the one to to do! He handled EVERYTHING! The place was a disaster after our tenants had pretty much destroyed it, but within 2 weeks the place looked like something out of a magazine! Howard represented us when we sold our condo in Menlo Park. He handled all the arrangements to get the property ready, including painters, cleaners, and staging. We also had some challenges with a neighbor who wasn’t happy about the open house, which Howard handled effectively, yet diplomatically.

Over the years, Howard has represented me as a buyer and/​or sellers agent in 5 transactions. I can’t imagine working with anyone else. In our most recent (sale of my home in Campbell) we had work to do in a short period of time to get my home on the market when it was hot. Howard and his team of artisans and experts made it a snap! Got the house ready in quick time and sold within 7 days of the brokers tour.
I am also very impressed with Howard’s attention to marketing properties for the seller. On my home, the photography was beautiful and the brochure/​advertisement very compelling — I know his promotion added so much to the sale of my home.

This review has been almost a year in coming, but we wanted to be sure everyone knew what an excellent realtor Howard Bloom was for us. We interviewed several highly-​rated realtors in the beginning of 2013 in order to sell our home. We ultimately chose Howard because he took the time to answer our questions in great detail, he had a very flexible approach that fit well with our goals, and we found that he had good relationships with other real estate professionals in the area. For us that was very important, because we believed having a history of good business relations made him a more effective agent on our behalf.
Not only did he work seamlessly with our schedule when we had to travel out of town, he kept us up-​to-​date on the preparation of our home every step of the way.
He was very hands-​on and detail oriented, but he consulted us on our approach to the home sale. We chose Howard Bloom and his team to sell our home in Los Altos, a community with a number of good realtors, many of whom are well-​known to us. Howard is the best. In addition to being easy to get along with, Howard was totally professional throughout the transaction process always with the highest ethics.
He marketed our home with over 250 parties viewing it in person and with thousands looking online. Howard orchestrated the offer process, monitoring intensely the level of interest and helping potential buyers get the information needed to craft offers.
Much more could be said about the thoroughness of Howard’s work but suffice it to say it was flawless from start to finish. As illustration, Howard sent out a closing statement months at year-​end which was fortuitous as otherwise an incorrect closing statement would be been used for taxes costing us needless expense.

Howard helped me sell my aunt and uncle’s home in Saratoga. As I live in Seattle, Howard and his wife Diane tended to every detail and consulted me (& did a fair amount of hand holding!) every step of the way. When I flew down to San Jose to oversee the project, Howard and his team of inspectors, painter, and stager were all scheduled to maximize my time there – everyone was on time and very professional.
Howard’s years of experience and business acumen conveyed confidence and immediately put me at ease. He worked very hard for me; no detail was too small – he even forwarded mail for me – and was very careful about cost containment – the consummate professional. And of course, he got top dollar with several offers. The whole process was well choreographed and carefully planned; nothing I could have done on my own. In 2012 Howard sold my townhouse for more that either of us thought was remotely possible. The last comp’ in my complex was $ 510K and we realized $ 200K more than that. Admittedly a very different property but the sale we achieved was still breathtaking.
He then helped me buy my dream home. It was a long, difficult search in a highly supply constrained market (Palo Alto). At times I thought it was never going to happen but then Howard came through for me, and boy, did he ever deliver!
Howard knows his stuff and how to close deals. He’s also a gentleman with strong ethics and a lot of patience but more than that, he’s capable of weaving that special magic that distinguishes the very best realtors from all the rest.
